Days pass and the entire crew has been in-and-out for filming, on-sight press, and more. It's seems as if they leave when she's awake and come back to the apartment when she's asleep, so she hasn't talked to any of her friends, including Josh. Cas chooses to stay behind, not wanting to get caught up in the media at all.
Many fans and media outlets have already been raising questions about who the 'mystery girl' is that's appearing on instagram with the younger cast, as she asks her friends not to tag her on anything. Even with all this uproar, all she can focus on was what occurred the other night on the balcony.
That kiss beat all expectations she had previously dreamt of. Although they were both furious at each other before it happened, it means something wildly important to both of them, yet they still can't fathom exactly what was.
Cas has trouble falling asleep, so she sits up and scrolls on her phone instead. As sounds of people enter the flat, she concludes that her friends have come home at an almost reasonable time.
"I'm exhausted," Jess cries as she enters the living room.
"Couldn't have said it better myself," Hugh adds, kicking off his shoes and falling onto the couch.
"I'm going to go see if Cassie is awake," Lily switches gears, making her way to the girl's room. She opes the door slightly and notices her friend's face lit up by a phone screen. She barges in and jumps on the bed. "Hiya," She smiles.
"Wow, you guys are back before eleven thrity? I did not seen that coming," Cas jokes, earning a smack on the arm from Lily.
"I have a question for you, darling," she evilly grins.
"Oh God, what is it?" Cas cringes, laughing.
"Do you by any chance know why Josh has been so jolly and cheerful these past three days?"
"Not a clue," Cas shakes her head.
"Are you suuuuure?" Lily leans closer.
"Wellll-,"
"Tell me!" She squeals, rocking her body up and down, shaking the entire bed frame in the process.
"Shh! You have to keep it secret," Cassie whispers.
"Alright, alright. Spill!"
"We kissed." Cas discloses, narrowing her eyes at Lily and grinning slyly.
"No. Fucking. Way." Lily's mouth hangs wide open. "How? When?! Where?" She slaps the girl's legs in excitement. As Cas explains what went down on the deck that night, Lily can't help but hug her. "I'm so happy!"
"Why, exactly?" Cas raises her brow.
"Because now you guys can be together...?" Lily turns her head out of confusion, also raising a brow.
"Lil, I still work for him," she whines.
"Ah, c'mon-,"
"I don't need to be blasted all over the internet! 'Actor Josh Dylan gets a little too close to his assistant, who ALSO happens to be Jeremy Irvine's little sister!? Is there co-star drama over this? Does Josh pay her to date him? Or even worse, pay her for sex?!'," Cas mocks in a newscaster-like tone. Lily doubles over and cackles.
"Pretty sure that the police would get involved if the tabloids made a headline anything like that."
"That's not my point. Josh would be under fire from social media, and I would most likely be fired for having relations with him," Cas stands up, putting a pair of socks on. Lily smiles, admiring her outfit.
"Nice pajamas."
"Sorry that I like my stuff to match, bitch," she jokingly snarls at her pal.
"Oh damn, even the socks got puppy prints on them!"
"Enough of this. I'm getting a beer and going to bed," Cassie announces, walking straight out of her room and swinging open the refrigerator door, many of the drinks clanking against each other from the force. The sound of glass bottles hitting one another startles the people laying around the living room. She turns her head and whispers a quick 'sorry' to her tired friends. Before she can rotate back towards the fridge, she catches a glimpse of Josh, who stares at her with the slightest grin. Cassie holds the eye contact, allowing soft smirk to crawl across her cheeks.

Placing her empty beer bottle on the nightstand, she unlocks her phone to start browsing around prior to falling asleep. Before she can even start watching the video of her choice, she receives an incoming text message:
Those all-too familiar butterflies soar around in her stomach, but this time, she doesn't push them down. Sneaking around makes it kind of fun, in her opinion. It makes life an adventure, even if it means just walking a little over twelve feet from the apartment complex to see him. She jumps out of her bed, grabs a sweatshirt, and lurks out of her room, hoping she doesn't catch anyone's attention while she exits the flat - -
"Where you going?" Her brother's sudden question causes her to squeal slightly.
"Erm, um. I just, um, need some fresh air," she stutters, unable to think of something believable on the spot.
"I think that's what we use the balcony for," Jeremy frowns.
"I'm, uh, I also want to go for a walk," she mumbles.
"A walk?" Jeremy looks down at his watch. "It's nearly half past twelve A.M.," confusion deluges his tone. Cas shrugs, not knowing what else to say. Jeremy sighs heavily. "Whatever, just be safe," he warns before sauntering back to his room. Cassie gasps, as if she had been holding her breath for the entire conversation.
The girl wanders into the kitchen and grabs two more beers before heading out to walk barefoot along the shore with the boy of her dreams.

{Yay! Thing One and Thing Two finally kissed in the last chapter! 🤧 I hope you are all enjoying the story right now and where it's going. Let me know what you think! ♡ Also, I've been interested in possibly writing a Bill story soon, but I'm not too sure of a plot yet. If you have any suggestions of a possible storyline, let me know either in the comments or PM! I've been so inspired by great writers like happyoctober and themoeyouknow who both have amazing Bill Anderson stories. Go check them out! Thanks again, everyone :) xx }
