Detention Extravaganzas

"You will not go within 50 feet of Jackson Whittemore. You will not speak to him. You will not approach him. You will not assault or harass him physically or psychologically." Sheriff Stilinski explained to the three boys as Melissa McCall, James Saticoy and Jacksons dad stood in the room.

"What about school?" Will asked, genuinely confused.  "You can attend classes while attempting to maintain a 50-foot distance." Will's dad answered and Stiles turned to him, pursing his lips. "Okay, what if we both have to use the bathroom at the same time and there's only two stalls available and they're only right next to each other?"

Will looked around the room at the four adults glares and hit Stiles' shoulder. "You can hold it." Will whispered and Stiles nodded. "I can hold it."

...

The next day, Stephanie, Stiles, Will and Scott stood in one of the aisle in the library, waiting for Allison to meet with them with the bestiary translations.

Suddenly, a hand popped up through the shelves, holding out a tablet. "It's everything Lydia could translate. And trust me, she was very confused." Allison said as they all looked at the tablet in Scott's hands. "Yeah, what'd you tell her?" Stiles asked, turning to Allison.

"That we were part of an online gaming community that battles mythical creatures." She replied awkwardly.

"I am part of an online gaming community that battles mythical creatures." Stiles said and Stephanie looked up at him with an 'are you kidding me' look. "Thanks for sharing."

"Okay, does it say how to find out who's controlling him?" Will asked and Allison shook her head. "Not really. But Stiles was right about the murderers." Stiles did a small victory dance, stopping when Stephanie smacked the back of his head.

"It calls the Kanima a weapon of vengeance. There's a story in there about this South American priest who uses the Kanima to execute murderers in his village." Allison explained and Will nodded along. "All right, see? So maybe it's not all that bad."

"Until the bond grew strong enough that it killed whoever he wanted it to." Allison added, shutting Will up as he pursed his lips and Stiles shook his head. "All bad, all very, very bad." "Here's the thing, though. The Kanima's actually supposed to be a werewolf. But it can't be-"

"Until it resolves that in its past which manifested it." Stephanie finished Allison's sentence, reading off the tablet, looking up at the boys as Stiles sighed. "Okay, if that means that Jackson could use a few thousand hours of therapy, I could've told you that myself."

Stephanie eye brows rose in realization. "What if... It has something to do with his parents? His real parents. I mean... that could mean something. They could've been something." Scott straightened up at her words. "Yeah, does anybody actually know what happened to them?"

"Lydia might." Stiles muttered and Will turned to him. "What if she doesn't know anything?" Stephanie let out a dry laugh at his question. "Well, he doesn't have a restraining order against me and Allison, so..." "We can talk to him." Allison said.

"Okay, what do I do?" Scott asked. "You have a make-up exam, remember?" Allison said and Scott turned around to his three friends, hoping they'd be on his side but they all nodded with Allison.

"If he does anything, you both run the other way." Scott advised and Allison snickered, looking to Stephanie. "We can take care of ourselves."

"Allison, if you get hurt while I'm busy with some stupid test, someone's going to need to take care of me." Scott said and Stephanie put a sarcastic hand to her heart. "Aww. I'm invisible I guess."

Scott turned around and gave her a glare before looking back at Allison. "If he does anything... weird or bizarre... anything." Stiles put his head into the shelf to get closer to Allison. "Anything evil!"

Allison rolled her eyes, pushing Stiles' head back, making him fall into Stephanie. Stiles looked at the girl that caught him with wide eyes. "Anything evil!"

...

Stephanie went to towards the locker rooms, to meet with Allison to question Jackson but she never made it, being pulled into an empty classroom.

Stephanie's eyes went wide, her head snapping to the door where Isaac stood, closing the door and bringing down the blinds of the window so no one can see in.

"Oh, we're being creepy now." Stephanie muttered and Isaac chuckled, turning to face her. "Just making sure..."

Stephanie's brows furrowed as she took a warry step back. "Making sure what?" Isaac smirked, tilting his head. "That no one sees this."

In a quick instant, Isaac ran for Steph, eyes yellow, teeth sharp and claws out. Stephanie's eyes went wide as she grabbed a textbook sitting on one of the table and swung it at Isaac's head, making him tumble, hitting his head on one of the desks and falling to the ground with a groan.

"You were supposed to use your powers." Isaac groaned in pain, turning back into human. Stephanie's jaw dropped, letting go of the textbook as she knelt down beside Isaac, cupping his face in her hands to check for injuries. "What the hell are you talking about?" Stephanie whispered as Isaac shut his eyes.

"Derek said to keep an eye on you, see how you are with your powers. I didn't think you were gonna hit me with a textbook." Isaac groaned and Stephanie chuckle, tilting Isaac's head to the side, still checking for injuries. "It's okay, I guess. Do you wanna see what I can do with my powers?"

Isaac looked up at her, slowly nodding. Stephanie smiled, moving to sit next to him, their shoulders and thighs touching at how close they sat.

Stephanie looked around the room before her eyes fell on the piece of chalk by the chalkboard. She squinted her eyes at the chalk, it was quickly wrapped in a purple hue, being lifted into the air and danced towards the board. Stephanie was careful in her mind as she wrote two words.

Hi Isaac

Isaac chuckled at the board, turning to face Stephanie who was looking at the board with a proud smile. "I guess you're doing pretty well with your powers than, right?"

Stephanie smiled, turning to face him. She shrugged and let out an airy laugh. "Pretty good."

"Scott! Stop! Enough!" A voice screamed from outside the door and Stephanie immediately recognized it as Allison. Stephanie shot up, running out the door and looking down the hall where Jackson and Scott were fighting.

Stephanie ran to the scene, helping Stiles and Will hold back Scott as Allison stood in front of him, trying to calm him down while Erica held back Jackson, Isaac running over to help her.

"Hey! Enough!" Mr. Harris screamed, running into the middle of the fight. "What do you idiots think you're doing? Jackson! Calm down!" He turned to Scott. "Mr. McCall, you wanna explain yourself? Stilinski!" He turned to Stephanie and Will. "Either of you Saticoys?"

"You dropped this." Matt mumbled, holding up the Ipad that had everything on the Kanima. Stephanie's eyes went wide, going to reach for it but Mr. Harris got it before her.

"You and you... actually... all of you... Detention. 3:00." Mr. Harris said, pointing at Steph, Will, Scott, Stiles, Jackson, Matt, Erica and Isaac.

...

Stephanie walked into the library, taking a seat at a table with Scott, Stiles, Will, and Isaac.

"Oh, uh... we can't be in detention together. I have a restraining order against these tools." Jackson announced and Stephanie stifled a laugh that turned into a cough after Will elbowed her in the ribs.

"All of these tools?" Mr. Harris asked and Stephanie smiled. "No, just these three tools." Stephanie said, pointing at her brother, Scott and Stiles.

Mr. Harris groaned. "Fine. You three, over there." He pointed at a lonely table in the corner. The three groaned as Stephanie chuckled, leaning back into her seat before realizing who she was left at the table with. Stephanie sucked on her teeth as she turned her head to Isaac who sent her a cheeky smile.

"You okay?" Matt's voice rang from behind her and Stephanie turned her head to see a very pale Jackson standing up. "I have to go to the bathroom." Jackson muttered, stumbling out of the room. "Are you all right? Hey, you don't look so good." Mr. Harris said and Stephanie was taken a back on how concerned he sounded.

"I just need to get some water." Jackson muttered and Mr. Harris went to follow after him, stopping just before he left the room. "No one leaves their seats."

As soon as he was gone, Scott, Stiles and Will shot up from their seats at the table, running over to Stephanie and Isaac's. Will and Stiles each lifted Stephanie out of her seat, making her squeak a yelp as they pulled her to Erica's lonely table. Isaac looked at the table before slowly getting up, waltzing over and taking the empty seat beside Stephanie.

"Stiles and Will says you know how Jackson's parents died." Scott said to Erica and Stephanie straightened up, turning to the girl but she just shrugged. "Maybe."

"Talk." Stephanie said, leaning over the table. Erica turned to her, giving her a small smirk, closing her book. "It was a car accident. My dad was the insurance investigator, and every time he sees Jackson drive by in his Porsche, he makes some comment about the huge settlement he'll be getting when he's 18."

"So not only is Jackson rich now, but he's getting even richer at 18?" Stiles asked and Erica smirked, raising a brow. "Yep."

"There's something so deeply wrong with that." Stiles muttered and Will turned to him. "Our mom always said, marry into rich as a joke. I'm gonna start taking that seriously now." Stephanie snorted, kicking his shin under the table as Erica opened her laptop. "You know what? I could try to find the insurance report on my dad's inbox. He keeps everything."

"Scott McCall, please report to the principal's office." The intercom rang and Stephanie slowly turned to Scott with wide eyes. "What the hell did you do?" Scott turned to her, almost offended as he shook his head. "Nothing." He quickly stood up and walked out of the class.

As Erica searched for the information, Jackson and Mr. Harris came back. "I found it." Erica mumbled, turning the laptop so everyone at the table could see. "Passengers arrived at the hospital doa. The estimated time of death... 9:26 P.M., June 14, 1995." Erica mumbled and Will's brows furrowed. "Jackson's birthday is June 15th."

The sound of Mr. Harris packing up made everyone start to get up. He quickly chuckled shaking his head. "Oh, no, I'm sorry. Uh, yes, I'm leaving. But none of you are. You may go when you're done with the re-shelving. Enjoy the rest of your evening." He said, an annoying smirk on his face that made Steph and Will glare daggers at him.

As soon as he was out of the room, Stephanie scoffed, getting up towards the piles of books. "God. I hate him."

She heard a chuckle beside her and instantly knew who it was. Isaac. "Yeah, I can tell when you throw your head back in chemistry... then again, you do that sometimes when I'm around too so who's to tell."

Stephanie snickered, putting a few books away as she turned to him. "You know, I'd watch what you say very carefully considering I'm surrounded by so many books." Isaac squinted, stepping closer to her and tilting his head. "You're gonna hit me again?"

Stephanie turned to him, giving him the same look. "You gonna wolf out on me again?" Isaac rolled his eyes, chuckling as he but a few books on their respected shelves.

Suddenly, all the lights started to flicker and buzz, books started falling off shelves as they started to shake. Stephanie could hear Erica growl a few aisles over as a ton of books started to fall into Isaac and Stephanie's aisle. "Watch out!" Isaac screamed, wrapping his arms around Stephanie's waist and quickly pinned her against the wall, using himself as a human shield for her, all the books falling and hitting his back.

It grew silent in the library, Stephanie and Isaac slowly peaking their heads out of their aisle and watched Jackson write something on the chalkboard mindlessly.

'Stay out of my way or I'll kill all of you'

After he wrote his message, Jackson jumped out of the window, leaving the school.

"I think she's having a seizure." Stiles screamed a few aisle down and Stephanie immediately went running over to help but stopped at another body in a different aisle. She felt as if she was punched in the gut as she stared at the body. "Shit!" Stephanie screamed, running to the unconscious Will, kneeling down beside him.

"He's alive." Allison yelled out, checking on Matt as Stephanie went to checked for a pulse on Will but Isaac spoke up. "I hear his heartbeat." Stephanie sent him a grateful smile, sighing. "Will's good." She whispered and Stiles' head shot up for an aisle over, looking at Steph through the shelf of books. "Dammit. Got him too?" He looked down at Erica and shook his head. "Hey, we need to get her to a hospital." He yelled.

"Derek... only to Derek." Erica whispered. "When we get her to the hospital..." "To Derek. To Derek." Erica interrupted Scott.

"Go." Stephanie said,  growing worried for the seizing blonde, Allison nodded, making Scott get up and run to Allison and Matt. "Hey, Scott!" Stiles yelled out.

Stephanie swiped some broken glass off Will's face, careful not to accidentally cut him. "Go help Erica." Stephanie whispered to Isaac who quickly looked up at her, shaking his head. "No. I'm staying here with you."

Scott and Stiles started to carry Erica out of the room, Stephanie's worried eyes following them until she shook her head, looking back to Will. "Erica's in your pack." "And your brother is lying unconscious. I'm staying here." Isaac whispered, resting a hand on Stephanie's shoulder.

"How's Will doing, Steph?" Allison called out and Stephanie looked up. She could see Allison through the shelves a few aisles down and nodded. "Okay I think. I feel a pulse so that's good. How's Matt?" Allison was quiet for a second before she looked back up, nodding her head. "He's good. I called the ambulance, they should be here soon."

...

"What the hell happened to my kid?" Sabrina Saticoy screamed as she watched her daughter run beside the gurney her son was being wheeled in on. Stephanie looked up at her mom worriedly, holding a hand up as she walked over to her and the paramedics wheeled Will into a room. "Mom, don't freak ou-" "Don't freak out! Stephanie Saticoy, what the hell happened to your brother?" Sabrina whisper yelled, crossing her arms as she stared at her daughter.

Stephanie's eyes went wide as she thought of something to say and Isaac quickly stepped up beside her. "We were helping re-shelf the library. Some books fell and hit Will's head."

Stephanie looked up at Isaac with wide eyes before turning back to her mom, nodding wildly. Sabrina sighed, turning to Isaac. "And who might you be?"

Isaac clenched his jaw awkwardly, sticking his hand out for the woman. "Oh. Uh... Isaac Lahey." Sabrina smiled. "Nice to meet you Isaac. Now if you excuse me, I'm going to go check on my son." Sabrina quickly passed the to, kissing Stephanie's temple before walking towards Will's hospital room.

Stephanie sighed, turning to Isaac. "You didn't have to do that." Isaac looked at her, raising his brows. "What? You want to tell your mom that one of you classmates turned into a reptile and knocked out her son? Because we can head over there and tell her." Isaac asked, chuckling and pointing in the directions Stephanie's mom head with his thumb.

Stephanie laughed, grabbing his wrist and pulling his hand down as she shook her head. "No. No. You're explanation was good." Isaac nodded, their laughs slowly dying down as his eyes fell to his hand, Stephanie still holding it.

Stephanie looked down to see what he was looking at and her eyes grew wide as she quickly let go and cleared her throat. "Um... I'm gonna go check on Will." Isaac awkwardly nodded, sending her a thumbs up as she quickly scurried away.

Isaac could hear how fast Stephanie's heart was beating and even though Steph didn't know it, Isaac's was beating just as fast.
