chase and drew were in the kitchen, the hum of the refrigerator and the occasional pop of toast filling the otherwise quiet space. drew, deeply engrossed in assembling his sandwich, spread avocado on one side of the bread with a meticulous hand. meanwhile, chase moved with far less focus, casually slapping ingredients together as he clearly savored the moment of messing with his friend.

"so," chase began, leaning casually against the counter, a mischievous grin tugging at the corners of his lips, "guess who's co-hosting the starlight soirée with me and mads?"

drew didn't look up, still focused on spreading the creamy avocado, clearly more absorbed in his meal than in the conversation. "i don't know, dr. phil?"

chase rolled his eyes, not even bothering to respond to the joke. he raised an eyebrow, posture shifting to that of someone about to drop a bomb. "your 'girlfriend' rhea."

the knife in drew's hand froze mid-slice, and his eyes shot up to meet chase's with a look of disbelief. "don't even get me started on all of that, man. i'm just trying to make my sandwich here."

chase couldn't hold back a laugh as he leaned in slightly. "you know what that means, right?"

drew, still staring at his sandwich with a frown, finally set the knife down and met chase's gaze. "that you're gonna keep bullying me about this?"

chase's grin widened, his eyes glinting with playful mischief. "no, idiot. i mean, yes," he said, moving drew's sandwich out of his hands and giving him a pointed look. "it means she's sitting at a vip table near me."

drew stared at his sandwich, unamused. "don't touch my sandwich."

chase sighed dramatically, stepping closer, tapping drew's shoulder with one hand while still holding his own sandwich in the other. "dude, you're sitting at my table. that means she's gonna be right there the whole night. you two better have a chat about all this, man. this fan war? it's turned into full-on stalking territory."

drew finally picked up his sandwich again, ignoring chase entirely. "how's it my fault that my followers are finding all her private information?" he placed the top slice of bread over his carefully laid-out toppings, pressing down on the sandwich to make it easier to cut. "besides, it's gonna die down soon anyway."

chase took a big bite of his sandwich, his mouth full as he shook his head, clearly unimpressed. "you're pissing me off now, drew. why don't you entertain this a little bit?"

"entertain?" drew echoed, still focused on cutting his sandwich into two neat triangles. "what's the word odessa found in one of rhea's insta captions? oh. gaf. gaf what she does."

chase raised an eyebrow, his interest piqued. "gaf? like... 'give a fuck'? that doesn't make any sense. so, you're saying you do give a fuck?"

drew picked up a half of his sandwich, inspecting it for a second before taking a bite. "i don't know, but i kinda like it. it sounds so rude. imagine someone interrupts you mid-sentence and just drops a 'gaf.' like, how traumatising."

chase burst into laughter, the sound echoing through the kitchen. "dude, what is wrong with you?"

drew shrugged nonchalantly, grinning. "hey, if it makes people uncomfortable, it works."

chase couldn't help but laugh again, shaking his head as he reached for a drink. "i swear, i have no idea what goes on in your head."
