lightning. The Blood Anomaly Enzyme then called Chrysalis. Twenty four hours later, four hundred more cases reported around the globe.
The world realized this mutating kind of humans and conducted researches on them. Chrysalis enabled the person to heal twelve times faster than any
normal human and they could produce hundreds volts of electricity. They were called the Gifted.
Three years later, an eleven years old girl named Lee Shiyeon with Chrysalis admitted to a shrink, saying she can move things with her mind. The girl
was labelled crazy. Two days after admittance, her house burned down and killed her family. She claimed she was the one who burn the house. Lee
Shiyeon could do much more than transfer electricity, she could do almost anything she wants. She was a special case, a Potential.
Shiyeon brought into the hospital, got her whole body checked, tested to the point of excruciating examination. She ran away. The security cameras
caught her body turn into lightning and burned the hospital down. She went missing. And after six years, she came back a criminal. She killed fifty
seven people and changed her name into Gaea. Gaea declared a war to Korea and the world.
Not wanting to cause a global panic, the world established an organization to keep everything in the shadow and fight back and it called Global Defence
Organization. This organization studied developed a cure for the Gifted, captured them and, if possible, cure or eliminates every Gifted in the world.
"We are the Korea Branch," Sooyoung put her mask on, "and we're going to get this Potential."
Although young, Sooyoung had proven herself worthy to the organization. She was calm, precise and above all, vicious, the best agent in Korea branch.
The only one who matched up to her name was the Princess.
The black armoured van with a yellow GDO - K letters on its body were running on high speed on the highway. Inside it, eight agents of GDO, including
Sooyoung and Princess, equipped with tranquilizer ammo modified M16 rifle, a desert eagle with live ammo as a secondary. Their body strapped with
Kevlars.
Their mission was short and clear; catch the Potential, Jung Jessica. Take down every obstacle with tranquilizer and to use the live ammo if they come in
contact Kwon Yuri and Kim Taeyeon only. And then get out of there.
But the Princess was in doubt. She didn't want to do the mission. Not this one.

"Unnie?" Seohyun knocked on Jessica's old room door.
"Yes," the answer was soft.
"Are you asleep?" Seohyun looked down to the knob.
"No, the door's open, Hyunnie. You can come in."
Seohyun turned the knob and saw Jessica was reading a book on her bed with her specs. Her golden brown hair tied back behind her head.
"What's up?"
Seohyun was hugging her pillow and a frog doll on her hand.
"Can I? sleep with you?"
Jessica smiled. She took her specs off, closed her book and slid to make space for Seohyun. She patted the bed, "of course."
Seohyun hopped to the bed and Jessica tucked her in. She pulled the blanket up until it touched Seohyun's chin.
Seohyun yawned.
"Good night, Hyunnie," she circled her arm on Seohyun's waist.
Jessica closed her eyes but then she felt Seohyun's body throbbing.
"Hyunnie?" Jessica asked.
Seohyun didn't answer.
"Hey, what's wrong?"
Seohyun sobbed, "I'm sorry, Unnie? when I saw you at the hospital I? I was really scared? I thought I'd never see you again."
Jessica kissed Seohyun's brow, "hey. It's okay? I'm fine."
"I'm so glad you're okay," Seohyun pulled Jessica closer.
"Me too, Hyunnie. Me too."
**
Jessica was standing in front of Eeteuk. He was holding a gun. It was pointed to Jessica. She should've been scared, angry but she wasn't. She was
going to die and she was okay with it.
Jessica opened her eyes. She was still in her old room at the orphanage. Seohyun was still on her embrace.
That dream, she kept seeing that dream.
She slowly came down the bed, so slow as to not wake Seohyun up, went out the room and walked the corridor to the kitchen. She poured herself a
cold drink. It has been a weird day for her.
A loud sound came from the gate, surprising Jessica from her night thoughts. She stood up and went to the recreation room. The front gate was torn
down.
"What the--?"
There were two black vans in front of the gate. Then dozens of men, all dressed in black and masks, every one of them carrying rifles.
Jessica quickly traced her steps to her bedroom. Her heart was beating fast. That was when a large explosion occurred, trembled the ground. Jessica
lost her balance and fell to the floor. And then she heard gunshots, a lot of them.
Mother ran out of her room and found Jessica was on the floor.
"Jess!? What happened?"
"I don't know!" Jessica stood up, "the children!"
Jessica ran through the corridors. Gunshots heard again, more and more. Then an explosion shook the ground again. Mother screamed and held on to
the wall.
"Jessica! Get the children! Tell them to go to the classroom!" she shouted.
The roof of the corridor suddenly struck by a blue light, it fell off, revealing the night sky above it. Jessica quickly knocked every room, shouting
everyone inside it to come out and run to the classroom.
"Oh, no! Seohyun," she mumbled.
Jessica ran to her bedroom. Another explosion threw her off her balance again. "Hyunnie!" she desperately called Seohyun.
She came back on her feet, stumbling and holding on to the wall. Her room was just a few more steps away. She slammed the door open and found
Seohyun, scared.
"Unnie! What is happening!?"
Jessica pulled her out of the room, to the kitchen and went out the backdoor. They ran across the courtyard. A lightning struck the huge tree in the
courtyard, burning it down.
Seohyun opened the classroom door where the children and Mother had already waiting.
"Hyunnie! Jess! Come here!"
Jessica stopped, her eyes were looking at the burning tree. The flame of the tree was enormous. Under the blazing tree, a girl was standing. Jessica
knew the girl. That was the girl she met at the basketball court early in the morning. She recognized the eyes, her eyes. Her name was Yuri.
"Unnie!" Seohyun called for her.
Three men came out from the orphanage, pointing their rifles to Jessica.
"Unnie!"
Jessica couldn't move her feet, too scared. But then a lightning struck the men. They got thrown out from the ground. It was Yuri, she threw the
lightning. Yuri was looking at her.
What just happened?
A loud bang filled the air and Yuri suddenly fell to the ground, holding her stomach. She got shot.
Jessica gasped and about to run to Yuri when Seohyun grabbed her by her waist and pulled her.
"Unnie!"
"No, wait!" Jessica struggled.
"Come on! Please!" Seohyun pulled her harder.
Jessica fought back. She didn't want to leave Yuri alone. She was shot.
"She got shot!"
"I almost lost you! I won't lose you again!" Seohyun pleaded.
Jessica watched how scared Seohyun was. Jessica turned to Yuri. She was on the ground, bleeding.
"Unnie!"
Jessica grabbed Seohyun's hand and together, they went inside the classroom. Jessica slammed the door and locked it. And then she joined everyone in
the corner of the room, sitting on the floor, holding each other.
"Everything will be okay," Jessica assured them.
I hope she's okay.
