Chap 20

Chapter 20

Seohyun held in her breath as Yoona inched closer to her, studying her face. She stiffened up and closed her eyes shut, not knowing what to do or how to react to the current sticky situation she was in. So apparently tonight she will lose her first kiss, something she hadn't really anticipated before; but for some reason, she was excited to finally know what it would feel like to kiss someone―and to be kissed.

Yoona chuckled as she moved her hands up to Seohyun's cheek, wiping away the small crumbs of the sweet potato chips the girl was snacking on earlier with her thumb and slowly pulled away, sitting beside the baffled girl, who was expecting something else.

"You had some crumbs on your cheek."

Seohyun immediately shot her eyes open and flushed in embarrassment. What was she thinking, of course Yoona wasn't trying to kiss her. She felt stupid for thinking so.

She sat back up on the bed and began to wipe her cheek furiously for any remaining crumbs before she let out a embarrassed laughter.

"Thanks.." she said, still wiping her cheeks until Yoona grabbed her hand and stopped her from doing so.

"Don't worry, it's gone. I cleaned it for you," Yoona said, but only as an another excuse to touch Seohyun's cheek once again, slightly stroking the smooth skin with her thumb. She knew doing this will make the girl fall for her, like how all other girls did; little did she know that Seohyun had naively fell for the girl and her romantic antics already.

"Yep, it's definitely gone now." Yoona smiled, and it caused the younger girl to mentally berate herself over her wishful thinking earlier.

Seohyun gave a bleak smile and nodded, not knowing what to say in the split second of awkwardness between the two.

"Mhmm, so since we kinda got jet-lagged and in Korea it's noon right now, I don't think we both can sleep huh?" Yoona asked. She walked up the mini-fridge and picked out a bottle of an Italian Prosecco wine, "Care for some drinks?"

Seohyun shook her head, "I'm not very good at drinking."

Yoona clicked her tongue, "Tsk, you need to learn how to then. Every girl should learn how to drink for protection."

"What for?" Seohyun questioned.

"Well, so you won't get drunk easily and be taken advantage of," Yoona explained, "So c'mon, let's have a few drinks. Don't worry, I won't take advantage of you." She chuckled and walked out into the balcony, pulling a chair out from the small clothed table and sat down; overlooking the glowing Colosseum in front of her.

"What are you waiting for, c'mon!" Yoona waved Seohyun over, and the latter obediently did what she was told. She walked out into the balcony, over to the table and felt the chilly outside air rush through her, sending shivers down to her spine as she pulled out the chair and sat down.

"Let's open up the bottle shall we?" Yoona asked as she shook the bottle and popped the cork open, aiming at the street.

"AI! WHO DID THAT!?"

A person shouted, the cork had evidently hit the person's head, and Yoona ducked down low when she sensed that the man was looking up at her, peering for a perpetrator.

"Okay, I didn't do that," Yoona said, peeking down the balcony and sighed in relief when the man had already left the spot.

Seohyun laughed, "I saw that."

"Shhh, let's keep it a secret between you and me okay?" Yoona grinned, flipping over the wine glasses on the table and began to pour the bottle of Prosecco into the glasses slowly. She picked one up and helped stir it a little for Seohyun before handing it to her and picking up her own glass of the wine.

"Cheers," Yoona stated, raising up her glass, waiting for Seohyun to clink hers against it.

"Cheers," Seohyun said back after clinking her glass. She took a sip of the wine and her face immediately showed some displeasure over the taste.

"It's bitter," She said in distaste.

"What? It's sweet to me," Yoona told her, taking a sip of the wine herself, "Yep, definitely sweet."

"Okay, here goes," Seohyun let out a heavy breath and gently shook her glass. She pinched her nose and gulped down the wine, earning a clap of applause from Yoona in surprise of the feat.

"And you say you're not good at drinking. Not bad. More?" Yoona chuckled.

Seohyun nodded, holding up her glass so Yoona could pour her some more.

Yoona gulped down her own glass and smiled in amazement of Seohyun's drinking ability. The girl was pretty good, albeit her face was flushing from the alcohol but that was expected for someone who claimed that they couldn't drink well.

"This stuff is better than the martinis Yuri Unnie mixed for me before. Her drinks are too strong," Seohyun said, already slurring her words with just 2 glasses so far.

"Are you sure this stuff isn't too strong for you as well? You look flushed."

"More," Seohyun said, letting Yoona fill up her glass once more, "This isn't the only reason why I kept looking flushed today," the girl muttered incoherently. Just 3 glasses in and she was already appearing to be drunk. She began to feel a bit lightheaded and laid her arms on the table, resting her head down on it.

Yoona scooted her chair in closer and rested her elbows on the table, propping her chin up with one of her hands.

"What's the other reason?" she softly asked the younger girl.

Seohyun rose up her head from her arms, smiling at Yoona as she propped her face up with both hands.

"Well?" Yoona asked again.

Seohyun blinked sleepily, smiling at Yoona as they both maintained a steady eye contact with each other. She leaned in closer and unconsciously gave Yoona a quick peck on her lips, earning a bit of a surprise from Yoona―-and a surprise from herself as well. She pulled away quickly in realization of what she had just stupidly done, but Yoona beat her to the chase by quickly leaning in and with her index finger, she pulled Seohyun's chin in and returned the girl with a swift peck on the lips as well―-much to the receiving girl's surprise.

"Was getting drunk all it took for you to do what you did? Or were you just pretending to be drunk so you can take advantage of the situation and kiss me?" Yoona asked with a smile, causing the already blushing girl to blush even more. This time, she can feel the heat radiating from her back as her body was heating up. Half from the alcohol, half from Yoona's suave statement.

"I..uhm..I.." Seohyun stammered, not knowing how to reply to her. She fiddled with her fingers as she had her head down low. She was too shy to face Yoona after what had happened.

"Seohyun, do you like me?"

"I..no, I mean I mean...yes..I―" the girl stuttered in an almost incomprehensible mumble.

"Look at me," Yoona ordered, she leaned in closer across the table and used her finger to help lift up Seohyun's chin up, forcing the girl to look into her eyes. She assured the younger girl with a smile before she drew closer to her and planted a soft, wet kiss on her lips.

"I like you Seohyun, I like you very much," Yoona confessed; and for once, it was a love confession that truly came from her heart―-not like her previous confessions in which they were all nothing but petty white lies for the girls she'd been with before. Seohyun is different, she's naive, she's innocent―-although too innocent for her own good, but it was one of these unique charms the girl had that led Yoona to slowly fall in love with her. Even so, Yoona still had her mind set on the bet―she has to win no matter what.

She's not gonna be the one to go skinny dipping in the freezing water during winter.

She's going to win, and Jonghyun is going to lose. That's that.

"Y-you do?" Seohyun asked innocently for the obvious.

Yoona smiled and nodded, "If I didn't like you, I wouldn't kiss you would I?"

Seohyun shyly nodded, causing Yoona to chuckle.

"Don't be so shy around me, you weren't shy when you gave me that kiss."

That remark only made Seohyun want to cover her face in embarrassment. Usually when she's drunk, she would be knocked out. Why in the world wasn't she knocked out tonight?

"Should I let you drink some more so you can initiate another kiss with me?" Yoona jokingly asked.

Seohyun shook her head, "I've had enough for tonight."

"Will I still get that kiss though?" Yoona grinned.

"Aigoo," Seohyun muttered and let out a heavy long sigh.

"Stop being so shy around me! I won't bite you, I won't eat you or anything!"

"I just..you're just―" Seohyun began mumbling incoherent words, fiddling with her fingers yet again.

"―Am I your first crush?" Yoona interrupted.

"Technically yes, but―"

"―But?"

"I did actually like this boy back in third grade...but only because his family owned a sweet potato farm and his parents usually packed him the potatoes for lunch..."

Yoona laughed an amused laughter at her innocent reply.

"What about me then? I don't have any sweet potato farm, how come you like me?"

Seohyun sighed. "Forget it. I'm going to go sleep now," she muttered and stood up from the table, walking back inside into the room with Yoona following her from behind. Yoona raced her inside to her bedside and sat at the edge waiting for Seohyun to come by. When the girl did, she quickly pulled Seohyun down to sit on her lap.

Seohyun gasped at the sudden action, wanting to pull away but Yoona held onto her and wrapped her arms around the girl's waist, not letting her go.

"Ya!" Seohyun yelled at her, hitting Yoona on her chest in an attempt to try to get the girl to free her―-and failed the attempt at that.

"Do you wanna know why I like you then?"

Seohyun suddenly stopped resisting and slowly nodded in silent anticipation for Yoona's answer.

Yoona smiled and tightened her grasp around the girl's waist, "You're sweet, you're caring, sometimes you care more for others then your own self. I don't like that, but when you took care of Mrs. Kim..I guess that was when I first had some feelings towards you. Do you remember that hug I gave you back at the hospital?"

"That hug was random," Seohyun chuckled, remembering that awkward moment.

"Well, I just wanted to hug you and so I made an excuse to do so. I meant what I told you though!"

"Are those the only reasons why you liked me?"

Yoona shook her head, "Nope I got more, shall I go on?"

Seohyun nodded and began to listen attentively.

"Sweet, caring, where was I? Oh right! your innocence is another reason how I fell for you. You just think about things so simply, a complicated scenario can be thrown at you and you would just crack through it with your innocence."

"Anymore?"

"Well, because you're Seo Joo Hyun, that's why I like you," Yoona smiled and said. She rose up her hand to Seohyun's hair and helped sweep her bangs to a side.

"There is one thing I want to change about you though."

"What is it?" Seohyun asked curiously.

"Your shyness. Especially around me."

Seohyun nodded her head, "Okay, I won't be shy anymore around you anymore."

"Good, but even if you don't and I do―" Yoona trailed off her words and flipped Seohyun onto the bed, "―this, which I will be doing quite often...enough that you won't even be shy anymore by the time I'm done with you." Yoona smirked, crawling up to the girl on the bed and hovered over her.

Seohyun gently grasped the bed sheets with her hands and stiffened up when Yoona's face inched closer to her own. She silently gulped.

"You said that I was technically your first crush, so that means that you lost your first kiss to me right?"

Seohyun nodded, anticipating on what Yoona was going to do next.

"Was the kiss what you imagined or wanted your first kiss to be like?"

The younger girl silently nodded to the question, "I always wondered what it'd feel like to kiss someone...I like the feeling of it."

"Of being kissed? Yoona asked to confirm.

Seohyun confirmed it with a nod and Yoona chuckled.

"I like the feeling of being kissed too, so how about you give me a kiss again like you did before?" Yoona asked, closing her eyes to anticipate the kiss. Seohyun stared at her with hesitation―-but didn't hesitate for too long when Yoona suddenly felt a pair of warm lips pressed against her own. Seohyun wrapped her hands behind Yoona's head and instinctively pulled her closer, deepening the kiss between the two before Yoona pulled away with a smile and sneaked a quick peck of a kiss down on Seohyun's lips.

"Oh, someone's being a little aggressive. Not so shy anymore already?" Yoona joked with a smug plastered on her face.

Seohyun let out an annoyed sigh, "You make me wanna―"

"―love you?" the girl interrupted with a smirk.

"Go to sleep!" Seohyun hollered, picking up a pillow beside her and threw it at Yoona as she pushed the girl off her and walked over to her own bed, plopping lazily down, hiding the glee from her face.

"Good night sweet heart," Yoona chuckled, clapping her hands together, and the lights began to dim down.

---

Yuri held the plate of chicken wings in her hands as she sat down on her couch in front of the TV. Seohyun was still in Italy, and so she finally was able to eat the wings without the young girl threatening her and scaring her how eating the stuff could kill her in the long run. She shook her head to remove the unappetizing thoughts Seohyun had reminded her of and eyed the wings with the hunger.

Just when she was about to dig in, her doorbell rang, causing her to grumble as she set the plate of wings on down her coffee table.

She walked over to the main door and opened it, greeting her with the sight of Jessica, who then opened her arms wide and latched herself onto Yuri for a long, lingering hug.

"You're here," Yuri said, her frown from the interruption of her meal had turned into a smile as the latter nuzzled her head under the crook of her neck.

Jessica tightened her grip around Yuri's waist and squeezed her for one last time before pulling back, her hands still on Yuri's waist.

"Did you miss me?" Jessica asked in English with a confident smile.

"Hmm, not really," Yuri answered smugly, causing the girl in front of her to let out a long, heavy sigh.

"Well, if you don't miss me..." Jessica trailed off, she turned her body away from Yuri and began to take slow steps towards the door until Yuri grabbed her hands and stopped her from doing so.

"I thought you didn't miss me? If you don't miss me, I guess you don't want me here either then..." Jessica said again, turning away from Yuri once more. Yuri let out a chuckle and pulled the girl back to face her, reaching in to give Jessica a peck on her lips.

"I thought you knew the answer very well already. You took off for more than 2 years before, how could I not miss you?" Yuri joked, though the joke turned out to be a little bit more serious than originally intended.

"That was my mistake, I should have listened to my heart and not my mom nor the people around me."

"Who do you think you're listening to now?" Yuri asked.

"My heart," Jessica answered with a smile as she reached in to kiss Yuri on the lips―-a quick peck like what Yuri had given to her earlier.

"What about Jay? Honestly, I feel guilty about us doing this behind his back. I want us to love each other openly, not as an affair."

Jessica grasped Yuri's hand. "Don't worry...when the time is right, I'll tell him. I don't want to continue doing this to him either, whether I have feelings for him or not," she assured.

Yuri gave her a nod and a bleak smile, changing the sensitive subject afterward.

"I was going to eat my chicken wings, but now since you're here―"

"Since..I'm here―what? Go on."

"We should make some homemade meals together!" Yuri suggested.

"Such as what?" Jessica asked.

"Oh I don't know, cucumber soup? cucumber salad? bibimbap with cucumbers? I seriously have a lot of cucumbers in my fridge."

Jessica latched her hands around her waist, shooting a death glare at the girl.

"You want to die, right?"

"If you're the one killing me....then I wouldn't mind."

"Hah. You jerk," Jessica muttered.

"I'm only a jerk to you," Yuri replied with a smug.

"Is that suppose to be a good thing, or a bad thing?"

Yuri leaned her face closer towards Jessica's and examined her facial expressions carefully before planting a kiss on her lips and quickly pulling away afterward.

"Mhm, it depends."

"How about right now?" Jessica asked again.

"Not sure, but maybe you can decide later." Yuri winked and went off into the kitchen.

"I wanna check your room, can I?"

"Yeah, sure, but why? You're not going to cook with me?" Yuri pouted.

Jessica laughed, "You know I can't cook"

"Just messing with ya, I'll go cook then, you can do whatever you want. Go rest in my room."

Jessica gave Yuri a nod and began to walk upstairs, the first room she saw was...Seohyun's if she remembered correctly. The room beside it was presumably Yuri's. She slowly walked up to the door and turned the knob, opening the door to the room where cold air engulfed her as soon as she step inside.

It was the same as she remembered it, the Mickey Mouse bedsheets, the placements of the lamps, the bedside table.

However, there's something that seems to be missing on that bedside table. She was going to turn around and head out of the room to ask about the missing object when she felt a pair of arms wrapped around her.

"Is there something wrong?" Yuri asked, "I sneaked up here to see what you were doing," she chuckled.

"Do you still have..that Mickey Mouse ceramic sculpture? The one I made for you?"

Yuri immediately froze in place as she retracted her arms away from Jessica's waist, causing the latter to turn around and face her.

Yuri lightly scratched the back of her neck, "Actually, I'm not going to even lie. It's kind of..broken."

"What? What happened to it?"

"Tiffany accidentally dropped it, it was an accident. She didn't mean to, she saw how pretty the sculpture was so she picked it up to examine it, and I guess her hands slipped?" Yuri tried to explain, much to Jessica's heartbroken expression that was clearly shown on her face. She worked for weeks perfecting the sculpture, sometimes without sleep to make it perfect so she can give it to Yuri for their 1st anniversary. But now it's gone, thanks to Tiffany.

"Why was she in your room?" Jessica asked further.

"Uhh, it's long story, but before you have any misunderstandings, she slept on my bed while I slept on the couch down in the living room—"

---

"Getting a little sleepy are we?" Tiffany smiled as she stroke Yul's head. The puppy gave off a whimper and began to snuggle against the pillow near her and closed its eyes, snoring peacefully.

Tiffany picked it up and let it rest on her arms as she softly ran her finger tips across its fur.

"I wonder what your owner is doing right now.." Tiffany whispered softly to the soundly asleep Yul. Her phone suddenly rang, startling both her and Yul as Yul jumped off of her arms and hid under the blanket.

"Sunny?"

"Yah, are you still in bed? You have a press conference about your movie in an hour! Go get dressed! I'm sending the stylist people over to your house now!"
