Tatum heads down towards the Gilbert house, knocking on the door and smiling at Jenna when she opens it. "Hey, where did you and Elijah disappear to last night?" Jenna asks. 

"There was an issue with the place we were staying at. We had to go deal with it." Tatum says and the woman nods. "He's still going through some research stuff, I was wondering if you wanted to go get lunch. I heard about the fight with Alaric." She offers and Jenna smiles. 

"Yeah, I'd love to." Jenna responds and Tatum nods. "I'll just go grab a jacket and shoes." She says.

"Yeah. And don't worry about money, it's on Elijah." Tatum says and Jenna chuckles softly. 

"Does Elijah know?" Jenna asks and the witch shrugs.

"What he doesn't know won't hurt him. Trust me. He won't notice." Tatum says with a smile.

"You sure you guys aren't a thing? I mean, he's cute. And you're just research buddies?" Jenna asks as she slips her shoes on before grabbing her jacket. Tatum steps out of the way as she steps out of the house, pulling the door shut behind her and locking it. 

"Just research buddies. I swear. Yes, he's very cute. But I'm not really in a serious relationship kind of place right now. Most of my focus is on my little sister." Tatum explains as they start walking. 

"Oh?" Jenna prompts.

"Yeah, our Mom died not that long ago. Uh, Davina, my sister, they were pretty close. And now I'm all she's got. And she's pretty much all the family I have. I mean, Vina's dad died when she was little but I have no idea who my father is and therefore no idea where he is. He disappeared the second he found out my Mom was pregnant." Tatum explains. 

"I'm sorry." Jenna says and the witch shrugs. 

"No, it's okay. I was never really close to my Mom. I liked Vina's Dad. He was a good guy. But Davina is the only one I really care about. Which I know sounds cruel and heartless but she's the only one that's ever mattered to me. She's staying with a friend of mine at the minute. They get along super well. He's like a big brother/father figure to her. And I get a phone call like every two days. I'm not sure who's more worried. Me about her or her about me." Tatum says and Jenna laughs. 

"Yeah, but it sounds nice." Jenna says before hesitating. "That last bit about your sister, I mean. Not the part about your deadbeat dad." Jenna says and Tatum laughs softly in amusement. 

"No, yeah, I got that. It's good." Tatum says and Jenna nods.

The two women walk into the Grill, moving to sit down and Tatum looks up when someone walks straight over to them. "Hey, Matt." Jenna says with a smile and the boy looks between the two of them. 

"Hey, Jenna. Who's this?" He asks.

"This is Tatum. I've been working with her and her friend on some historical research on the town." Jenna explains and the witch smiles. 

"Nice to meet you." Tatum says, glancing past him briefly to see Stefan Salvatore and an unfamiliar teenage girl staring at her and Jenna. 

"Are you ordering something?" Matt asks. 

"Burger and fries. Thanks." Tatum says.

"Oh, I'll have the same." Jenna says and Tatum hums.

"Coming right up." Matt responds before walking away. 

"So, what happened with Alaric?" Tatum asks. 

"He just keeps lying. There's something he's not telling me. There's something everyone's not telling me. But he's lying one minute and the next he's turning up to places he's not invited." Jenna says. 

"Do you have any idea what everyone might be hiding?" Tatum asks. 

"Only that everyone seems to know except me." Jenna responds. 

"Is your birthday coming up?" Tatum asks and Jenna smiles slightly in amusement. 

"No." Jenna responds and Tatum hums. 

"Yeah, I've got nothing." Tatum says and Jenna shrugs.

"Hey, you've reached the same block I have." Jenna says and Tatum nods slightly. 

The brunette goes to speak before Matt appears with their food, putting two glasses of water down. "You didn't say what you wanted to drink." He says.

"Thanks, Matt." Jenna says and he nods before walking away.

Tatum hesitates slightly as they eat when she sees Jonas and Luka sitting with Stefan and the teenage girl. "Everything okay?" Jenna asks.

"Yeah, everything's fine." Tatum responds, gently flicking her fingers under the table to listen to what they were talking about.

"Bonnie said you have information about Elijah." Jonas says.

"Elijah's dead. I'm sorry." Stefan responds and Jonas almost immediately moves to get up. "Hear me out." Stefan says, getting up to stop him. "We can help you. Please."

"We know that Klaus has your daughter. I'm sorry about the way I had to get that information but it's good that we know." The girl says. "We can all work together to get her back."

"How?" Luka asks.

"I suspect you and Elijah had a plan to kill Klaus. Let us help you carry it out." Stefan offers. "You can trust us. I give you my word. We all do."

"What about Tatum?" Luka asks. 

"We'll handle Tatum. She won't cause any trouble." Stefan says.

"You'll handle her? If that girl is who I think she is, then she is prophesised to be the most powerful being in existence. Not witch, being. And you think you can just handle her. She loses her temper and you'll be dead." Jonas says.

"She's still just a witch. She's mortal. If we have to, we can kill her too." Stefan responds. 

"Tatum, you okay?" Jenna asks and the witch looks over at her. 

"Yeah, I'm just worried about my sister. She sounded a little off last night." Tatum explains and Jenna nods. "I'll be back in a second okay? I'm just going to go give her a call." She says and Jenna nods.

"Yeah, of course." She responds and Tatum gets up, heading towards the back of the Grill, raising a brow when someone pins her to a wall with an arm across her chest. 

"What are you doing with Jenna?" Stefan asks.

"I'm having lunch with my friend. What were you doing with Jonas and Luka?" Tatum retorts.

"None of your business." Stefan responds.

"Then I think we're done here." Tatum says, flicking her fingers and knocking him backwards. "Good talk." She says before heading back towards where Jenna was still sat and the blonde looks up at her. "Voicemail. I'll try her again later." Jenna nods a little.

The two of them are walking back towards Jenna's after when the blonde looks over at the witch, "Hey, what do you say to coming over later and having a glass of wine?" Jenna asks and Tatum looks over at her. "Okay, so maybe I'm a little lonely with this whole Alaric thing." Jenna says and Tatum smiles slightly in amusement. 

"In that case, I will be there." Tatum responds and Jenna nods. 

"You know, I really wasn't sure what kind of person you were going to be when we met. You seemed a little standoffish." Jenna says.

"Yeah, I'm like that as a rule. Tends to stop people from harassing me." Tatum explains. "Okay, so, I've got to go run a couple errands and then I'll come by yours later." The witch says.

"Sounds like a plan. I'll see you later, Tatum. I'll be home, so just let yourself in." Jenna says and Tatum nods.

Tatum sits on the sofa in Jonas' apartment, looking up when the door unlocks. "We will save her." Jonas says before pausing when he sees Tatum and the witch raises a brow. 

"You know, no wonder Elijah was a little concerned. Meeting up with Stefan Salvatore? In a public place, no less? Rookie mistake." Tatum says.

"We still want Elijah's help. Stefan and his brother, they're our enemies. They need to be dealt with." Jonas says and Tatum's gaze flits to Luka briefly. "They're busy looking for the witch burial grounds." 

"What, you're gonna kill them?" Luka asks.

"No. I'm gonna let Elijah and Tatum do it." Jonas says, looking over at the witch. 

"Best guess? They daggered him. They have this dagger that can temporarily kill an Original. We find Elijah, take the dagger out, he wakes up." Tatum says, her arms folded over her chest. 

"Salvatore House?" Jonas asks. 

"That'd be my guess." Tatum responds before her phone beeps and she grabs it. "Okay, they're buying the witch burial grounds. They're going to focus on that." She says.

"How do you know that?" Luka asks and she looks up at him. 

"I made a friend." Tatum responds. "Okay, I have plans tonight. Text me if you need anything." She says.

The witch walks up the porch steps of the Gilbert house, tapping her knuckles against the door before pushing the door open. "Jenna?" She calls. 

"Kitchen!" The blonde calls back and Tatum pushes the door shut behind her. She walks through towards the kitchen, smiling slightly when she sees the three girls standing with Jenna in the kitchen. "Hey." Jenna says with a smile.

"Hi. Fairly certain none of them are old enough to drink wine." Tatum says. 

"Oh, uh,  you've already met Elena but these are her friends, Caroline and Bonnie." Jenna says, gesturing at the two girls. Bonnie had been the girl with Stefan, Jonas and Luka at the Grill.

"Nice to meet you." Tatum responds.

"We were actually thinking of going dancing at the Grill. If you still want to come." Jenna offers.

"No, that sounds good. It's this or listen to Elijah talk about historical facts he claims are interesting all night." Tatum says smoothly. 

"Great. Let's go." Jenna says. 

Tatum glances to the side when someone grabs her arm as she goes to follow Jenna, raising a brow at Elena as Caroline and Bonnie walk past them. "Something wrong?" Tatum asks.

"I don't know what game you're playing," Elena starts.

"I'm not playing any games. I'm spending time with my friend." Tatum says.

"You're playing at something. Whatever it is, leave Jenna out of it." Elena says. 

"I like Jenna, Elena. And since your friends daggered Elijah, me liking her is the only reason I haven't delivered her heart to you in a box." Tatum says and Elena straightens up slightly. "As far as I'm concerned and as far as Elijah was concerned, deal's off. Your friends are fair game. And if I don't get Elijah back soon, I'll take you somewhere far away. Far enough that your friends and even Klaus won't find you. So get out of my way before I decide to jump the gun." The brunette says and Elena hesitates for a moment before letting go of her arm. "Don't keep pushing me, Elena. I don't have Elijah's patience. And I certainly don't hold promises to the same regard as he does." She says before turning to follow the other three. 

Tatum grabs her phone when it beeps, stopping just as she reaches the Grill when she reads the message. Jenna turns to look at the brunette, frowning slightly. "Tatum, everything okay?" She asks and the witch looks up. 

"Uh, I'm really sorry Jenna. I need to go. I've got to take care of something. You've got my number. Text me if you need anything." Tatum says. 

"Your sister?" Jenna asks and Tatum looks up. 

"Yeah." She says and Jenna nods. 

"Okay. I'll talk to you later." Jenna says.

"Yeah, okay." Tatum says before Jenna heads into the Grill.

Tatum looks around before heading out of sight and teleporting to Jonas'. She lands in the living room, heading through to where she could sense Jonas' thoughts to see him kneeling on the floor next to Luka's burnt body. "What the hell happened?" Tatum asks. 

"We were trying to wake up Elijah." Jonas says. 

"Where the seventh ring of hell?" Tatum asks. 

"We were doing a spirit projection spell. He was undaggering him and he got attacked by Katherine Pierce. And then this happened." Jonas says and Tatum rubs her forehead. 

"Jesus Christ." Tatum mutters before Jonas moves to open a cabinet at the bottom of the bookcase. "Jonas, what are you doing?" She asks, watching him pull out the things they'd stolen from Elena's. "Jonah, if you hurt Elena, you might never find your daughter." He ignores her, continuing to recite a locator spell and Tatum sighs, shaking her head slightly.

When he drops the necklace, Tatum glances towards the door when she hears Stefan's thoughts before dragging Jonas out of sight of the door just as it slams open. Jonas moves away from Tatum before she can react, advancing towards the vampire. "You killed him. He's dead and I have no one." Jonas says as Stefan exclaims in pain.

"No." Stefan says. 

"And now you're about to find out exactly what that feels like." Jonas says, making Stefan drop to the floor as he steps over him, walking away and Tatum sighs, looking around. 

"Jesus fucking Christ. I should have stayed in New Orleans." She mutters under her breath just before her phone starts ringing. "Yes?" She asks.

"Tatum, any progress?" Marcel asks. 

"Not the time. I've got to go stop a witch from murdering a teenage girl. I'll call you back." Tatum says, hanging up before running past Stefan out of the apartment, pulling the door shut behind her as she rushes to follow Jonas, focusing on his magical signature to track him.

Tatum runs into the Grill just as the wooden beam sets alight and she looks around before she spots Jonas standing with Bonnie before he uses magic to knock her out. "Jonas! Jonas, you know this is a bad idea!" Tatum calls.

"They killed my son. Elena Gilbert is the only way to get my daughter back." He retorts.

"We can wake Elijah up. He can help." Tatum says. 

"I tried waking Elijah up. It killed my son. I'm taking Elena." Jonas says as everyone rushes out past them. 

"Dr Martin!" Elena calls and both of them turn around, following her voice. "I'm so sorry about Luka. We never wanted that to happen but at least let us help you get your daughter back." 

"Only Elijah can do that." He retorts.

"You don't need Elijah." Elena says. 

"Why do these people not understand we need Elijah to get to Klaus?" Tatum mutters under her breath, pinching the bridge of her nose before someone attacks Jonas and Tatum shakes her head, looking back towards Stefan and Elena to see them heading towards the door. 

She glances at Jonas to see him using a pain infliction spell on Caroline before running to follow Stefan and Elena. Tatum stops when she gets to the parking lot and can't see any of them anywhere, looking around before glancing over her shoulder as Jonas walks out of the Grill. "Where did they go?" Jonas asks.

"If I knew, do you think I'd be standing out here like a moron?" Tatum asks. "Elena's house is probably a good bet. They're not going to want to lead us to the Boarding House if Elijah's there." Tatum says and Jonas nods before walking down the street.

Tatum flicks her fingers when they reach the Gilbert house, unlocking and opening the front door for them to head inside before locking it after them. "Upstairs." Jonas says and Tatum sighs before following him into the shared bathroom.

"What is it with you and this bathroom?" She mutters and he shushes her as they wait for everyone to get back. 

He glances at her when the door opens shortly after and she shakes her head. "Bonnie and I think Elena's brother." Tatum whispers and he nods. 

She wasn't going to let him go through with this. She just needed the opportunity to catch him off guard. Him attacking Elena would give her that opportunity. 

She focuses her magic when the front door opens again, Stefan and- Tatum pauses slightly before nodding at Jonas when he looks over at her. Katherine. She could work with that.

"Her and Stefan." Tatum says and he nudges her out of the way.

Tatum stands just inside Elena's bedroom as Katherine makes her way upstairs, watching the vampire turn the taps on before she sees Jonas behind her. She lunges towards the bedroom, spotting Tatum sitting on the edge of the bed before Jonas pulls her back into the room, seconds later, the vampire attacks him, dropping Jonas' body to the floor as Stefan and Bonnie rush upstairs. 

"Nicely done." Tatum says, stepping next to the vampire.

"Thanks." Katherine responds just before Stefan and Bonnie reach the doorway. "You're welcome." Katherine says when Stefan and Bonnie look up at her from Jonas' body. 

"Tatum?" Stefan asks.

"What? I wasn't going to let him take Elena. I'm not dealing with a pissed off Elijah when I wake him up. And that is when." She says as Bonnie steps over to Jonas' body, crouching down. 

"You didn't have to kill him." Bonnie says.

"Yes, we did." Katherine retorts.

"You really did. And if you hadn't, I would have." Tatum says before Bonnie shifts to close his eyes. "Wait-" Jonas jolts up, grabbing Bonnie's head before Tatum can finish her sentence.

A red glow forms around Tatum's hand before she jerks her hand sharply, snapping Jonas' neck just as Stefan moves away from the doorway. "There. Call us even for now." Tatum says before moving to walk past Stefan and Katherine, over Jonas' body. 

"I'm gonna follow her." Katherine says before leaving the room too and Stefan follows close behind, moving past them both to walk down the stairs first. 

"Everything's taken care of." Stefan says. 

"Tatum?" Elena asks when she sees the witch. 

"I'm guessing you're gonna want this back." Katherine says, pulling the necklace from around her neck, holding it up. "But your pretty little outfit is going to need a good dry-clean." She says and Elena walks over to the three of them, snatching the necklace away. 

"You should get them both out of here before Jenna gets home." Elena says, looking at Stefan. 

"This is the thanks you get around here for saving someone's life? Wow. I'll let myself out." Tatum says.

"She's right. Is that really all you have to say to us?" Katherine asks.

"This doesn't change the way I feel about either of you." Elena says. 

"I don't much like you, either, if we're being open." Katherine says. "And frankly, I'd be happy to see you dead but if we're going to try to take on Klaus, we kind of need you to be alive. So I'm not a threat to you Elena. If any of you are going to believe anything, believe that." 

"I just want to leave. I think I've already made it clear I don't like anyone here." Tatum says, holding a hand up briefly. 

"Why are you helping us?" Damon asks.

"For the same reasons the fun Doppelganger said. With the added bonus of not wanting to piss Elijah off." Tatum says. "Now, I'm gonna go. If you need anything, go to literally anyone else." The witch says before walking out of the house.
