Tatum leans back, her feet kicked up on the edge of the coffee table as she reads, listening to Jonas and Elijah discuss collecting some things from Elena's room to allow them to track her when she moves. "Tatum," Elijah says and the witch looks up. "You're going with him." He says.
"I'm not really in the business of committing felonies. Like breaking and entering." Tatum responds.
"You can mask yourself. Go with him." He says and she sighs, tossing the book on the coffee table.
"Okay, fine. Let's go." She says, pushing herself up.
Tatum quietly steps into Elena's house behind Jonas, using her magic to silently shut the door. After making their way upstairs, the two of them slip through Elena's bedroom door, moving towards the bathroom when the brunette stirs slightly.
Tatum looks around the small bathroom before Jonas steps towards her when a door slams further in the house, glancing behind her briefly when she hears the sheets rustle before she hears soft footsteps. "Come on." Tatum whispers when she hears talking in the hallway before heading out of the bathroom, glancing at the things on her dresser.
Tatum grabs a few other things from the dresser, including her jewellery, placing them in the handkerchief in Jonas' hand. He wraps it up before pocketing it as Tatum grabs the picture of Elena in a cheerleading outfit from her dresser, tucking it in the inside pocket of her blazer before they head to the bathroom to wait for a chance to leave.
Jonas glances at Tatum when Elena lies back down to see her eyes glowing slightly red and the brunette nods after a moment. "She's asleep." She whispers and he moves to leave, grabbing a handheld mirror from the counter and handing it to Tatum who slips it into the same pocket as the picture frame as they walk out of the room.
Tatum uses her magic again to silence their footsteps as they walk down the stairs and the door as they leave the house. "People should really be more careful and observant." Tatum remarks, glancing at Jonas as they walk down the steps of the porch.
"But thankfully for us, they're not. I don't want to be the one to disappoint Elijah." Jonas says and Tatum hums.
"He's not that scary." She responds as they walk down the street towards his car.
"If you truly think that, then you're a fool." Jonas says and she smiles.
"Not a fool, just big-headed." Tatum retorts.
.·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·. .·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·. .·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·.
Tatum pulls the photo and mirror out of her blazer, placing them on the table as Jonas puts the handkerchief of her things down. "Well, nothing like a little bit of theft to make your night more interesting." Tatum says before her phone rings, and she pulls it out to check it. "Oh, I need to take this. If Elijah asks where I am, tell him it's none of his business." The witch says as she walks towards the front door, answering the phone.
"Tay?"
"Hey, Vina." Tatum says, pulling the door shut behind her, moving to sit down on the top step of the porch.
"Are you okay?" Davina asks and Tatum smiles slightly.
"Yeah, Vina, I'm okay. Just got back from breaking the law to the house I'm staying in with two witches I don't know and a pain in the ass vampire. It's so close to being like home." Tatum responds and Davina laughs slightly. "I'm making this as fast as I can, Vina. I promise. But I don't really have much of a say in how fast we move. I have to go at their pace." Tatum says.
"I know. I just miss you. The attic feels really empty. Marcel comes every day but it's not the same as having you here." Davina says.
"I miss you too. And I kind of miss Marcel a little. Don't tell him I said that." Tatum says and Davina laughs quietly.
"He wants to talk to you actually. Something about you not calling to check in." Davina says.
"I've been a little busy." Tatum says.
"I'll call you later this week. I love you, Tay." Davina says.
"I love you too, Vina." Tatum responds before she hears movement on the other end of the phone.
"So, Elijah didn't kill you?" Marcel asks.
"Not yet. I think he kind of likes me. In that, 'I'm fed up with her but at least she's a little entertaining' way." Tatum says.
"Yeah, well, we all kind of feel that way about you." Marcel responds and she rolls her eyes.
"Lovely. Thank you for that." Tatum responds dryly.
"So, everything's going okay?" Marcel asks.
"Yeah, I think so. They're working on breaking a curse that involves a moonstone and a doppelganger. I don't know what though. At the minute, everyone believes a very obvious lie about some shitty fake curse." Tatum explains, glancing at the house briefly, making sure nobody in there could hear her with her magic.
"Yeah, well, the second you find anything out about Klaus, you call me. And if it gets dicey, you get out of there, Tay. I don't care if you end up blowing your cover. Get out of there. I do not want to tell Davina that this got you killed." Marcel says.
"Yeah, I know. I will." Tatum responds, glancing up at the house briefly, her eyes glowing red when she realises Elijah was walking towards the front door. "I've got to go. I'll talk to you later, okay? Tell Vina I love her, and I'll be back soon." Tatum asks.
"Talk to you later, Tay." He responds before the witch hangs up just before the front door swings open and she looks up at Elijah.
"I thought I told Jonas to tell you it was none of your business." Tatum says, pushing herself up.
"Who were you talking to?" He asks.
"My sister. If that's quite alright." Tatum responds, pocketing her phone.
"You have a sister?" He asks and she hums.
"Yeah, she's fifteen." Tatum says. "It's just me and her. She's staying with a family friend whilst I'm here. I was just checking on her. Or, well, she was checking in on me." The witch says before raising a brow. "Are we just going to stay out here on the porch, or can I go back inside now?" Tatum asks and Elijah opens the door, moving to the side to let her back in. "Oh, thank you." She says dryly as she walks past him.

Tatum leans against the wall behind Elijah later that day as he and Jonas sit opposite each other at the table, Elena's things laid out between them with the witch holding a silver knife in his hand. "So, how exactly does this spell work?" Elijah asks.
"Give me your hand." Jonas instructs, holding his hand out and Elijah places his hand in it, palm up for Jonas to slice into the palm.
"That was done unnecessarily slowly." Tatum remarks.
"Tatum." Elijah says and she holds her hands up for a moment before crossing her arms again.
"Place it here." Jonas instructs and Tatum shifts slightly to see Elijah place his hand on the photo of Elena they'd grabbed. "Now take my hand." Elijah grabs Jonas' hand when he holds it out before the witch speaks again. "Close your eyes. Relax your mind. And look for her." Jonas instructs and Tatum moves slowly around the table, watching them curiously as Elijah closes his eyes and Jonas starts chanting a spell the witch had never heard before.
But she didn't really know many spells considering she didn't use them.
She looks over at Elijah when he opens his eyes again. "You saw her, didn't you?" Jonas asks.
"I should hope so or this entire exercise and the theft was totally unnecessary." Tatum says.
"I know exactly where she is." Elijah responds after a brief but pointed look at Tatum and the brunette just rolls her eyes.
"Right, well, let's get going then." Tatum says.
"Yes. Jonas, you stay here. Tatum can come with me." Elijah says before directing the brunette out of the house.
"Where are we going?" Tatum asks.
"Back to Slater's apartment." Elijah responds.
"I told you someone would go looking for him. Now, aren't you glad I wiped his computer?" Tatum asks.
"How fast can you get us there?" Elijah asks and she hums softly.
"Well, I can teleport us to Richmond. But I could only do it to the hotel or the coffee shop. When I teleport long distances, I have to focus on returning to somewhere I left a strong magic signature. Which means I need to have performed an active spell." Tatum explains.
"That will be close enough. Although, if you're planning on going to a public place, a cloaking spell may be a good idea." He suggests.
"See, you're not just a pretty face." Tatum says, grabbing his hand. "Don't let go and don't throw up on me. I won't be happy." Tatum says, closing her eyes as she activates a cloaking spell before teleporting them to the street outside the coffee shop in Richmond.

She opens her eyes when she feels water hitting her face before sighing. "Well, that's irritating." She says before pulling Elijah out of view into an alley so she could drop the glamour spell without startling anyone because that would defeat the point of using it in the first place.
"Come on." Elijah says, leading her out of the alley.
"But it's raining and I'm wearing a skirt." Tatum complains and he looks at her impatiently. "I feel like you should care at least a little. I'm still prone to human weaknesses. I could get ill." Tatum says.
"Tatum, we don't have time for this." Elijah says.
"I could!" The witch defends.
"Then walk faster." Elijah responds and she shakes her head a little before following him.
"Walk faster." She mutters under her breath mockingly. "Fucking vampires. Oh, just walk faster. You can't possibly get ill if you walk faster than your usual pace. Because that's how getting sick works." Tatum complains.
"Maybe if you weren't wasting time complaining, we'd be able to get out of the rain faster." Elijah responds.
"You're not the one that's going to get sick, are you?" Tatum asks.

Elijah sighs after listening to the witch complain the entire way to the apartment building before handing her his suit jacket when they enter the reception. "Oh, thank you." She says, pulling it on and he shakes his head.
"Do you know who's in there?" He asks, glancing at her and she tilts her head slightly.
"Seven people. Two are human. One's sleeping. I assume she's irrelevant. Five vampires. Rose, one of the ones who took Elena and three I don't know." Tatum responds, glancing at him as the red in her eyes fades. "Does that make up for the complaining, your highness?" She asks and he shakes his head at her briefly before walking past her towards the apartment, stopping behind the vampire standing in the doorway, snapping his neck a moment later as Tatum steps into the doorway, glancing down at the now dead vampire.
"You." Damon says and she glances up from the vampire as Rose disappears from the room.
"Hi again. How'd the head?" Tatum asks and he narrows his eyes at her.
"And you. I killed you. You were dead." He says, glancing at Elijah.
"For centuries now." He responds and Tatum snorts slightly in amusement before gently kicking the vampire on the floor in front of them.
"You know he's not permanently dead, right?" She whispers.
"Who are you?" Elijah asks, ignoring the witch and she scoffs.
"Why do I even bother speaking?" She grumbles.
"Who are you? Who's she?" The other vampire asks.
"I'm Elijah." He responds. "That's Tatum." He adds as the witch finds a makeshift stake, using it to kill the vampire on the floor before looking over at them with a smile.
"Hi." She says, wiggling her fingers.
"We were gonna bring her to you, for Klaus." The vampire responds. "She's the doppelganger."
"Yes, well done, genius. We're all very well aware who she is." Tatum responds dryly.
"I don't know how she exists, but she does. Klaus would wanna see her." He says.
"Does anyone else know you're here?" Elijah asks.
"No." The other vampire says.
"Well, then you have been incredibly helpful." Elijah responds before driving his fists into their chests and tearing out their hearts.
Tatum tilts her head with a slightly impressed hum as he drops them before moving to offer him the handkerchief out of his blazer. "Thank you." He responds and she hums.
"It's only because I'm not letting you touch me with bloody hands." The witch responds, glancing at Damon when he shifts towards them. "I'm sorry, do you want a repeat of the other day? Because I'd be more than happy to introduce you to the sidewalk just below that window." Tatum says.
"There's no need for that." Elijah says, before using his vampire speed to get the two of them out of there.
He stops down the street from the building and the witch grabs his arm to steady herself. "Okay, a little warning please next time would be nice." Tatum says.
"Well, I couldn't have you drawing any unnecessary attention." Elijah responds.
"Oh, I was bluffing, and you know it." Tatum retorts.
"We both know you weren't." Elijah responds and she shrugs.
"Yeah, but it made him hesitate." The witch responds.
"Can you get us back to Jonas'?" Elijah asks.
"Yeah. Hand." She says, holding her hand out and wiggling her fingers slightly until he takes it. She glances around briefly before shrugging, closing her eyes and teleporting them back.
.·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·. .·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·. .·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·.
The witch moves to sit at the table as Elijah moves over to the window, tucking her legs up underneath her as she picks up the book she must have left there.
She briefly glances up when she hears the door open a little while later to see Jonas walk into the room before looking back down at her book. "Where's Luka?" Elijah asks.
"Asleep." Jonas responds.
"Your shadow spell was successful. I was able to track that girl." Elijah says.
"Elena." Tatum supplies.
"Thank you, Tatum." Elijah says and she rolls her eyes at the slightly pointed tone of his voice. "However, we did have a little run-in with one of the brothers that killed me. He's apparently not a fan of Tatum."
"Yeah, I threw him through a window." Tatum responds idly, turning the page of her book.
"I assume he didn't live to tell about it." Jonas responds.
"Actually, I spared him." Elijah says.
"Which was rude, actually. I was quite excited to introduce him to cement rather than gravel." Tatum says.
"I'm sure you'll get an opportunity." Elijah responds and she hums.
"Not the point." The brunette responds.
"You spared him?" Jonas asks.
"He'd die before he let anything happen to her. They both would. She'll be kept safe." Elijah says.
"For now." Jonas says.
"Well, that's precisely what we need her to be." Elijah says before turning to face the two of them. "Safe." He says.
There's a moment of silence before Tatum speaks. "I think I'm coming down with a cold." She remarks and Elijah shakes his head briefly.
"You're fine. And I'd like that back." Elijah says to the witch.
"I am not fine. And you will. Eventually." She says, turning the page of her book again.
