Tatum sits on her bed as Elijah paces, flicking through her grimoire idly as she props her chin up on her hand. "You're actually making me ill. Stop pacing." Tatum remarks idly without looking up from her grimoire.
"You've got a lot of nerve. I could very easily kill you." Elijah says and she rolls her eyes.
"You're more than welcome to try. I don't think you'd get very far." Tatum responds, briefly glancing up at him with a raised brow before looking back down at the book in front of her.
"They staked me." Elijah says.
"Yes, I know. I was there." Tatum responds.
"Tatum." He says pointedly.
"Why do people always say my name like that when I make perfectly valid points?" Tatum asks.
"Maybe because you're insolent." Elijah responds.
"I prefer to think of that as one of my better qualities." The witch responds.
"What are you looking for?" Elijah asks.
"A way to turn you into a toad." She responds blandly, glancing up at him and he looks at her pointedly. "You're so boring. A normal person would have laughed or told me to fuck off." She complains.
"Would you rather that was my response?" Elijah asks.
"It'd definitely be more interesting than dead silence." She grumbles.
"Tatum, what are you doing?" He asks.
"I'm looking for a way to track their movements." Tatum responds. "Unfortunately, all I seem to have are locator spells, so, I supposed I will have to improvise." She says, closing the book impatiently before moving it to the side.
She grabs the map she'd set aside, spreading it out on the bed in front of her before grabbing the small vial of blood she'd managed to get from Damon when she'd pinned him to the wall. "Where did you get that?" Elijah asks.
"I have my ways." Tatum responds, glancing up at him briefly before looking back down at the map as she lets the blood drip onto the map.

Tatum walks down the street in front of Elijah, glancing at the coffee shop she could she the faint red mist around. "There." She says, nodding at the building.
"Yes, I can see them." Elijah says before glancing to the side at the man playing guitar beside them.
Tatum glances at him as he drops a hundred dollars in the guitar case before taking a few coins. "That's not how that works." Tatum says and he glances at her briefly as he shifts the coins from one hand to the other before going back to watching Damon and Rose in the coffee shop. "Can you hear them?" She asks.
"You do know I'm a vampire, don't you?" Elijah asks, looking at her and she rolls her eyes.
"You don't have to be a dick. What are they talking about?" She asks.
"The sun and moon curse. About why my brother plans to break it." He responds and she hums.
"I really don't understand why people can't see that the entire thing is a total farce. It's not discreet." Tatum says.
"People have believed it for centuries." Elijah responds.
"That doesn't mean it is believable, Elijah. It just means people are stupid." Tatum says and he hums, shifting the coins before throwing them at the window of the coffee shop, shattering them all.
Tatum raises a brow as she watches all the vampires rush off as Damon cover's Rose with his jacket. "You're very petty." The witch remarks. "I thought we were supposed to be getting to them, not making them flee." Tatum says.
"We will. But they believe me dead. We can't just approach them on a whim. We'll use Slater. The vampire they were talking to." Elijah says.
"So, now we have to find Slater and convince him to help us." She fills in.
"Yes, but that won't be difficult." Elijah responds and she hums.
"I suppose we should get going, then." Tatum says before turning to walk down the street.
"We'll be meeting my witch on the way." Elijah says, falling into step alongside her and she glances at him.
"One witch isn't enough for you?" Tatum asks.
"I have more reason to trust him than I do you." Elijah says and Tatum hums.
"I have half a mind to be offended. I've done nothing that would make you think I'm not trustworthy." Tatum responds.

She follows Elijah and Jonas towards Slater's apartment, using her magic to open the door just before they reach it. "Hello, Slater." Elijah says as Tatum and Jonas hover near the door, the latter glancing at Tatum curiously. He moves towards the other vampire, looking him in the eye.
"How does your magic work?" Jonas asks quietly as Elijah compels Slater and Tatum glances at him.
"What do you mean?" She asks.
"I have never met a witch with magic like yours. How exactly does it work?" Jonas asks.
"I'm not sure. It's just there. I don't need spells. I just need this," She says, letting her magic form around her fingers before looking back at Elijah and Slater as she lets her hand drop.
"Rose?" The vampire says as the three of them watch. "Yes, I took off, I'm sorry. I was frigging freaked." Slater says and Tatum rolls her eyes. "Look, I want no part in any of this, but I did some digging." Slater says. "You can destroy the curse, but you need the moonstone." Tatum shakes her head a little.
She had no doubt they would believe they could destroy the curse, but she didn't understand how someone could be stupid enough to believe that.
"Can your friend get the moonstone? You need it." Slater asks. "You need a witch. Get the moonstone, a witch should be able to figure out the rest. Good luck, Rose." Slater says before ending the call.
"Very nicely done." Elijah says.
"Thanks, I have a degree in theatre." Slater says and Tatum sighs, shaking her head a little.
"Oh, my God." She mutters under her breath, slightly incredulously.
"How can you compel me? A vampire can't compel another vampire." Slater says.
"I'm a special vampire." Elijah responds.
"What, because you're an Original?" Slater asks and Elijah hums in response.
"Now, I want you to take this and drive it through your heart." Elijah instructs, holding out a stake towards Slater and the other vampire takes it.
"But that would kill me forever." Slater responds.
"I do believe that's the point." Tatum mutters.
"I know." Elijah responds before compelling him again. "But it's necessary."
Tatum glances at Jonas when she sees him shift after Slater drives the stake into his chest, falling to the floor as his skin turns grey.
"Was it really?" Jonas asks.
"It had to be done. He delivered his message. Won't be long now." Elijah responds and Tatum glances around before looking at the computer off to the side of the room, sliding into the seat. "What are you doing?" Elijah asks.
"Covering your ass." She responds, glancing at him before looking over the desk around the computer for the password. "Seriously?" She mutters before typing what was on the sticky note into the computer, shaking her head when it works. "What, was he twelve?" Tatum asks as she makes the piece of paper disintegrate.
"Was there any need?" Elijah asks, looking down at the disintegrated paper that falls on his shoes and she glances down before looking up at him.
"I'm sorry, did you want me to just leave it here for someone else to find if they come looking for him?" Tatum asks, raising a brow before turning back to the computer to delete all the files on it. "These are all leads to different vampires." She says and Elijah leans forwards slightly to look at the computer screen. "See, these are about you." She says, gesturing at the screen.
"Can you delete them?" Elijah asks.
"Can I delete them? Yes. Obviously. A two-year-old could delete them." Tatum responds as she deletes all the files before opening the bin and deleting them there too and turning the computer off. "Okay, now we can go." She says.
