Those words were told to Seraphina Ambrose freshman year, April 19th at 3:56 pm. They were etched into her mind, orchestrating the rest of her high school experience.

Seraphina was angry, she was violent, she was pitiless, she was lied to.

"You need physical force to be the best. They are after you."

Coach Martinez would tell her when she started questioning anything he drilled into her mind. He rebooted her back to the same callous way of life she lived.

This mask of a persona created a fear. The fear of people getting the apprehension she wasn't as vulgar as perceived, and the facade Coach Martinez had worked hard to build would crumble.

When they bid goodbye for nationals and land in the wilderness, leaving a missing family member and dead coach, Seraphina opens up to a person who is also a victim of Coach Martinez's control.
