KIER ODYSSEUS VELLAR wields his name as a weapon. A childhood of poverty on the planet Corellia taught him that irrelevance is a curse, and when he was adopted into the most powerful family on the planet Byblos he vowed to never be overlooked again. And rise to prominence he did; at only sixteen becoming a renowned inventor paving the technological future and the most well-known student at the University of Coruscant. With parents and intelligence such as his, entering the political arena after his graduation was all but guaranteed.

Until the Clone Wars.

Almost immediately it became clear that the robes of a traditional politician didn't exactly suit him. Defiant, uncontrollable, traitorous - these are all the words people began to say of him as he became the face of a new generation of students fed up with the ways of the Republic. Bodies swarm the capital with fury in their veins, and he marches with them against the warriors come under public scrutiny. Neither loyal to the Republic nor the Separatists he is so often accused, but teetering between the two, watching and predicting with narrow eyes the collapse of both. But despite his razor-edged words, the truth remains that he has yet to experience the war firsthand.

Yet that all changes when a kidnapping attempt is made on him and his younger sister Luna. With her capture, he finds himself dragged headfirst and drastically unready into the heart of the Clone Wars. No longer able to remain unaligned, it is only with the help of a Jedi Padawan that he manages to find his footing and reconsider his own role in the conflict.

But peace will not come easily to Kier Vellar and Ahsoka Tano. When the worst becomes reality they must fall into the shadows once again. But this time they will not fade into oblivion, but learn to work undercover, becoming phantoms that will light a spark for the galaxy to follow.

⟼ i think it's important to mention there will only be minor romantic interactions between ahsoka and kier while they are kids since anything else doesn't really make sense given the context. ahsoka's a jedi and very busy fighting a war. kier is in love at first sight though (obviously). that said, this is a SLOW BURN that spans multiple decades BUT i promise it will be worth it🫶🏻 who doesn't love a good slow burn?

luminaries revival 2024 hellooo🥳

i recently watched the ahsoka show, and seeing live-action clone wars era anakin and ahsoka had me in a puddle of tears. one of the things that i think made it so effective was how young ahsoka looked. when i first watched the clone wars i was a little kid, and ahsoka quickly became my favorite character. as a young girl, i saw myself represented in her.

at its heart luminaries is a coming-of-age story. i hope to be able to capture that same childlike spirit that first made me fall in love with the clone wars, while also staying true to the reality of ahsoka's life as a child soldier.

luminaries will primarily follow the clone wars show and ahsoka novel. later acts will be developed based on shows such as rebels and ahsoka.
