Chapter Twenty~No Longer Alone

I WON'T LET FRISK BE ALONE!

"C- Chara?! Chara!! Wake up!!"

"Don't do this again!"

Chara slowly blinked open her eyes, her vision blurred. She could make out the figures of Frisk, Asriel, Sans, Toriel. She tried to sit up.

"Chara, y- you're awake! D- Don't get up, y- you're hurt... Bad..." Frisk stuttered over his words, barely able to speak in the panic he was in.

"Wh...at... Happened...?" Chara asked quietly, her voice hoarse and shaky. Frisk had been tending to her wound. "Where... am I?"

"Well..." Asriel began. "I kinda got mad at the bullies... And nearly burned them to a crisp. They ran away, though." Chara smiled weakly. Frisk sighed shakily.

"I- I've done what I can. H- Here," Frisk handed Chara a healing item. "I- It should dull down the pain." Now that Frisk mentioned it, Chara noticed how much it actually hurt. She took it gratefully, and her HP replenished and the pain dulled down a little. She sat up. Frisk smiled, and hugged her gently.

"I'm so glad you're alright, my child." Toriel said. She looked like she'd recently been crying.

"guess i am too. maybe you aren't so bad, kiddo." Sans looked away from Chara nervously. Chara hugged Frisk back, and the two soon let go of each other. Asriel helped Chara stand.

"Th- Thanks..." Chara stuttered, her voice nearly approaching a whisper. "Frisk... Asriel..." Chara held her side and glanced at the ground.

"Make sure you don't do anything that could hurt your wound, again. And get plenty of rest." Toriel told Chara. Chara nodded to acknowledge this.

"How did you not die?" Asriel asked. "You scared me so much... Y- You're health was at half a point." Chara shrugged.

"I didn't want you and Frisk to be alone."
