Chapter Nine~Once A Killer Always A Killer

Sans and Frisk ran outside. Chara was frozen, wide eyed. She was holding a knife, and there was a group of three kids. Well, two. One of them was dead.

"i knew it!" Sans shouted, and Chara squeaked when her soul was turned blue. The kids ran off, and Chara dropped the knife.

"Sans! Wait!" Frisk called. Chara sighed shakily.

"why did you kill someone else?" Sans asked, eye flaring a bright blue.

"I- I didn't t- try to, I..."

"that's enough." Sans walked up to Chara.

"SANS!" Frisk shouted. Sans flinched and turned to face Frisk.

"how can you still let her roam around when it's obvious she's a killer?!" Sans asked angrily.

"Because she had to have done this for a good reason!" Frisk retorted. He turned to face Chara, who looked to be on the verge of a breakdown. "Why?" He asked softly.

"Th- they... they... I... They said something too close for comfort. And it was bad." Chara said quietly. "I didn't try to, I- it just happened, I-"

"once a killer, always a killer." Sans muttered. "stay away from each other. and that's that." With that, Sans turned around and stormed into the house.

A couple weeks passed. Chara almost never left her room for the past few days. Sans had been getting her in trouble for the littlest things, even things she didn't even do, it just somewhat looked like she did. Frisk was currently on the couch, and Sans was in his room. It was late at night and Frisk couldn't sleep. He felt so bad for Chara... He wondered if she was awake.

And she was.

Chara was wide awake in her bed, hugging her legs tightly. She hadn't eaten, and had only one drink. She was going over everything. She looked at Flowey.

"You should get something to eat." Flowey urged. "Please." Chara sighed and looked back at the ground.

"Sans is right..." She whispered. "Once a killer, always a killer. Once a demon... Always a demon."
