The rest of Talia's classes went by pretty quickly and she was walking into the office to turn her slip in with Bella right behind her.

The redhead sees Edward in the office and rolls her eyes as they hear him trying to switch out of Biology.

"I'll be with you in just a moment dears." The lady behind the desk said to the girls making Edward look at them well glare but it was mostly aimed at Bella "fine I'll just have to endure it." Then he left the office.

Talia handed her slip in and smiled at the receptionist before heading to her locker to grab her stuff she saw Edward still walking down the hallway so she muttered knowing he'd hear "see now that is exactly what I'm talking about dumbass, you are being far too conspicuous."

He just kept walking not even looking at her and Talia rolled her eyes as she stopped at her locker she opened it and grabbed her stuff so she could leave and meet her dad and Bella at the diner for dinner.

She smiled seeing Jasper at her locker he had told her he'd meet her there once she turned her slip in and he was going to walk her to her car.

He saw the look on her face before she smiled at him "what happened? It's written all over your face that something is bothering you."

She sighed giving him a look "this is not going to make a lot of sense right now but I will explain everything at some point, we did just meet this morning and that is a little soon to be spilling all of my secrets just yet... but your brother is an idiot."

He gave her a teasing look "Which one? I've got three..."

She chuckled slightly "Edward despite every warning I've given him today he's still done the exact opposite of what I said." She rolled her eyes "really I'm just trying to save him a lot of hassle."

He didn't know what she was talking about but he listened to her rant quietly about it as they walked toward her Jeep. She saw the sort of lost look in his eye "okay once I explain everything what I just said will make sense but for now, you are just going to have to trust me."

They got to her Jeep and said their goodbyes and then she was off to meet her dad and sister at the diner.

The two girls had gotten there at the same time and they both joined their dad at the table, the waitress came and took their orders, once the three had ordered Cora the waitress had walked away, he smiled at his girls "how was school today girls?"

Talia smiled at him "it was good dad, nothing too exciting happened, I did make a couple of friends though, so it was a pretty good day in all."

He nodded at her "that's good Talia," then looked at Bella "how was your day Bella?"

Before she could answer him their food was brought to their table and Cora smiled at the two girls "I just can't get over how grown-up you are Bella," then she looked between the two "and your both just so gorgeous."

Talia smiled at her "thank you" as Waylon an old friend of Charlie's approached the table. he smiled at the Swan Twins "Hey, Talia good to see you as always, and Bella."

The redhead smiled back at the man "good to see you too Waylon."

The man looked at the younger Swan "you remember me?" Bella looked from Waylon to Charlie and back but didn't say anything "I played Santa one year."

Charlie gave his old friend a look "Bella hasn't had a Christmas here since she was four Waylon."

"I bet I made an impression thought."

"Yeah, you always do."

Talia laughed as she popped a fry into her mouth as Cora shooed Waylon off so they could eat, after they both left the trio alone at the table Charlie and Bella both went for the ketchup at the same time, there was a bit of an awkward exchange after that and Talia just shook her head at them.

Charlie asked her the question again since they had gotten interrupted earlier "how was school, Bella? You meet anybody?" Talia had already answered the question.

Bella looked at him "yeah a couple of people, Do you know the Cullen family?" Talia rolled her eyes at her sister, as Charlie looked at his youngest daughter.

"Yeah, why? people talking about them again?"

"Yeah, a little bit."

Talia scoffed "more like just Bella's new friend Jessica... seems to me like she's a bit of a gossip and likes the concern herself with things that have nothing with her..."

Charlie looked between his daughters "it's only because they're newcomers, listen the Cullens they've been nothing but nice ever since they moved here. People around here they should be happy, a surgeon like Doctor Cullen in our podunk hospital. Happy his wife wanted to move into a small town and his kids, those kids give me no trouble, not like the other hellraisers around here."

Talia smiled at Charlie "those friends I was talking about are some of the Cullens." So the three finished their food and headed back home.

Once they had gotten to the house Talia headed up to her room to do her homework and once she finished she called Renee to tell her about her first day of school and everything. After they hung up Talia got ready for bed.

The next morning Talia woke up to the sound of her alarm, she cut it off and got up, took a shower, and got dressed.

Once she had everything ready she grabbed her keys and school stuff and headed downstairs. She wasn't all that hungry that morning so she just grabbed an apple and headed out the door.

She hoped that Edward had taken her warning seriously and wouldn't make her sister more curious about him but something told her that it was for nothing and that he was gonna do what he did in the series and leave for a week. But he would see that Talia is right about it one way or another.

She pulled into the school parking lot a few minutes later and saw that the Cullen's cars were there all except Edwards Volvo which made her sigh "this is going to be a little harder than I originally thought it would be."

She grabbed her things and got out of the car making her way towards the school as she approached her locker Alice appeared beside her with her arm looped through Liams "Hi Talia."

The redhead smiled at her "hey Alice, Liam... where's Edward, I noticed that his car wasn't parked with the rest of you guys."

Alice just smiled at the girl as she answered the question "He decide not to come today he wasn't feeling very well, probably won't be back for a few days."

Talia nodded at the answer she was given but internally rolled her eyes "oh okay I was just curious." Talia got what she need out of her locker and put her bag inside. Alice and Liam once again walked with Talia to her first class since the two had a free period first.

She dropped down in her seat with a sigh, Jasper looked over at her "what happened?"

She smiled at him "don't worry about it right now... I will explain at some point but for now, I'm not gonna worry too much about it since it's already happened, and nothing I can do about it now."

He nodded at her "does this have anything to do with what you said yesterday?"

"Yes actually, it does... I tried to help, I did but he pretty much just ignored everything I said, he'll see that I was right though he may find out the hard way now but no matter he'll see and realized that he should have listened to me from the start." the bell rand that signal the start of class rang before Jasper could reply to the girl.

History went by pretty quick and before they knew it the bell ran dismissing them to their next class, Talia gathered her stuff up and Jasper walked with her to her locker to grab what she needed for their next class and then they stopped by his locker and walked to class just making small talk.

They got to English and Talia smiled at the blonde vampire who gave the human a small smile back, Talia knew that was progress for her, Rosalie still didn't 100 percent trust the human girl but she was trying for Jasper. She knew from the vision that Alice had that Talia was going to be very important to her brother.

Overall Talia's day at school was uneventful nothing exciting happened, she went to her classes and talked to Alice, Liam, and Jasper, Bella spent the lunch period watching the Cullens table because she had noticed that Edward wasn't there that morning... other than that Bella hadn't even paid the least bit of attention to Talia.

Talia had seen the look in her sister's eye she knew that as soon as they got home that Bella was going to jump her with questions about the missing Cullen.

The redhead rolled her eyes when she saw Bella's truck in the drive as she parked her jeep beside it. Talia was not looking forward to what she knew was waiting in the house for her. Just as she suspected as soon as she walked into the house Bella was there.

"You're friends with the Cullens... why wasn't Edward at school today?"

Talia blew out a breath giving the girl a look "yeah I'm friends with them, and yes maybe Alice told me why he wasn't there today but does that make it any of your business? no, it doesn't... am I going to tell you? probably not because like I said it's none of your business."

Everything Talia said pretty much just went in one ear and out the other as the next question left the brunette mouth "Do you know when he's coming back to school?"

"No and I'm not going to ask either, so don't even go there.... oh and it's been two days Bella, so this little obsession of yours with Edward is very unhealthy, you gotta stop staring at them all the time, it's rude and annoying to have someone watch your every move all day."

That was the last thing Talia said to her sister as she made her way up to her room to put her stuff down, the redhead was going to be making dinner for the family of three just like she did most nights for her and Charlie when she would spend time there in the summers and holidays.

She knew that Bella wasn't going to give up but Talia was not going to feed her curiosity if she could help it, she was determined to change the outcome of the events that were to come for them.

She changed into more comfortable clothes and headed back down into the kitchen to make dinner.
