Gaster, Why?
Of course, Gaster was too nice not to let Edge come stay with them, but the second they were alone, Sci slightly regretted his decision. "You're not supposed to do stuff like that." Gaster says calmly. Yet you could hear the anger in his voice, that he was trying hard to suppress it. And it was terrifying. Sci was so afraid of his creator in that moment. But, being the robot that he is, he asked one simple question, "... Why?"
Gaster takes a deep breath in and then out. The amount of anger he was suppressing... Sci was terrified. "Because your focus should be on science, not some other weird skeleton." Gaster says. Sci stares down at his feet, ashamed. He knew he shouldn't have brought Edge home, and he knew that his creator saw right through him, that he wanted Edge here other than scientific reasons. "Never do something like this again, Number 40872." Gaster says, walking away slowly.
The use of his real name, the way Gaster's steps echoed, and the anger on Gaster's face, hurt. It hurt Sci in a way he knew he shouldn't feel either. He was malfunctioning again... He shouldn't feel emotions like real monsters... He still had them, of course, but not to this degree.
"Yo, you alright there nerd?" Asks a voice behind him, which made him jump. He hadn't heard footsteps drawing near. He turns around to see Edge standing there, smiling at him, "I asked ya a question." He says. Sci didn't know what to do in this situation, did he tell the truth? He didn't want to lie to Edge... Sci just shakes his head, sighing a little. "What's wrong?" Edge asks, leaning on a wall. He looks like he'll really listen. "I... It's hard to explain." Sci says. What was he supposed to say? That he was a robot? No! No of course not. "Try your best, 've got all day." Edge says, looking at Sci with a kind smile. "... I... I..." Sci sighs yet again, he didn't have the courage to say it. He barely could admit to himself that he loved Edge, how was he supposed to tell him that he was a fucking android?!?
Edge sighs and pushes off the wall slightly, walks over to Sci and hugs him, "Whatever it is, I'm sure it's fine, really." He says. Sci lets out a sigh of relief. Gosh, Edge was so understanding. He loved him for-... Sci could feel someone glaring at him. He looks up to see Gaster staring down at him in disapproval. Sci whimpers slightly, he hated making his creator upset... He quickly pulls away from Edge, staring back down at his shoes in shame. Edge seems confused before he sees Gaster and realizes what's going on, "Wait, you can't be serious. You're mad at him for something he can't help? Seriously??? You're mad at him for making a friend?" Edge sounds disbelieving. He pulls Sci in front of him, "This guy is too nice for that bullshit, seriously, just, he shouldn't have to deal with that crap." He says, you could hear anger bubbling in his voice as he spoke. Sci felt a strange feeling washing over him at Edge's touch. His cheeks heated up. He didn't understand, it didn't make sense. It. Didn't. Make. Sense. Sci freezes up, "ERROR: 404: CANNOT COMPREHEND." Sci says, sounding a lot more like a robot than a, well, monster.
