Introduction

(This is what happens when you try to write the handplates interpretation of Gaster. Robots.)

Sci had been created for one reason and one reason alone, science. He knew he wasn't a 'real' monster. He didn't feel things like normal monsters, nor did he think like a normal one. It made sense, he was made in a lab out of buttons and wires, he wasn't real. And Sci had accepted that, that he would never, should never fall in love. He should just do his job. Sci accepted that he would outlive every one of his friends, that he would outlive his 'father'. He was a robot, all of that was okay.

Until Sci met Edge.

His fake soul beated fast, his eyes wandered off of his purpose, science, onto Edge. He wanted to make him laugh, make him smile, make him happy. Sci knew he was a simple robot, and he shouldn't have felt an emotion like this. He was programmed for every emotion except one, love. Sci had never felt love, he wasn't supposed to feel love, he was malfunctioning. He. Was. Malfunctioning. He wasn't thinking straight, literally. He could count on his creator to make him gay... Wait, no that wasn't right, his father made him for science. He had no other purpose than to help the Royal Scientist and one day take his place.

Sci wanted to take Edge far away from his home. He experienced abuse, rape, violence, and attempts on his life everyday. He didn't deserve this. And Sci knew that this technically fit into his job description, he found Edge... Interesting. He wasn't a normal monster, Sci could feel it. And he wanted to learn more. Surely, his creator would understand.

But he didn't understand.
