Night time

Currently manik was in his dadu's room, laying down with closed eyes in an attempt to sleep. But it looked as if sleep is not coming his way today making him restless.

" Oh god.....ye nind kyo nahi aari ha" he whinced while sitting on the bed with his head with his hands.

Today's encounter with nandini was continuously playing in his head troubling him.

"Ahh........kya ho raha ha mujhe.....kyo baar baar m nandini ke bare m hi soch raha hu.....kyo dammit kyo....." he groaned in annoyance and again laid down to sleep.

After tossing and turning for hours he finally slept.

After Couple of days

It has been days for nandini and manik's last encounter. Neither she saw him in school anywhere nor in the park much to nandini's relief as she didnt wanted to face manik again after what he did last time. She knew he is rude but his last act has hurt her deeply as she never expected this from him. She thought maybe it was her fault, she has unknowly bothered him a lot.

Right now Nandini was quietly sitting in her class go throughing her lesson as it was a free period when kavya came and sat beside her.

"Hi" Kavya wished making nandini look a her.

"Hi" she mewed softly.

"Kya karre ho....ye toh free period hana fr yaha kyo baithi ho" she asked making nandini show her the lesson she was preparing.

"Kya yaar nandini........its a free period baad m padhai karna.....chalo i have something interesting to show you" kavya stated excitedly making nandini confuse.

" Interesting.......kya"she asked in confusion.

"U Know kal ha school m basketball match ha.............i m so excited....."she squealed in excitement.

"Acha......toh usme kya interesting" she questioned making kavya frown and hit her head lightly.

"So boring nandini..........kya interesting nahi ha ye pucho......tall, handsome and hot boys running in after a single ball......with sweat dripping down their body.......wow" Kavya stated dreamly making nandini frown.

"Cheeee" she mewed while making faces making kavya glare at her.

"ohk...ohk...sorry" she apolozised making kavya smile.

"Aaj na uski practise ha aur hamare last 2 periods free bhi ha chal na practise dekhne chalte ha" kavya insisted.

"Nahi na...i have to complete this na" Nandini denied.

"I m not taking a no for this  we are going and that final" saying this she dragged nandini along with her towards the sports arena making nandini whince.

Soon they were in the sports arena which was ecohing with the noise of ball dribbing and players running with people cheering for their favourite players.

"Wow....she its so cool almost pura school hi yaha ha" Kavya commented while pulling nandini towards the sitting arrangement.

"Ya right" nandini whispered while looking around.

"Toh kaisa laga?" Kavya asked while sitting with nandini in the stands.

"Its Nice" she commented while looking at the team members who were running around in the court behind a ball.

"Hana.....i told you......itne sarre hot boys ek saath" Kavya squealed making nandini look at her with a smile.

"Pagal" she commented while giggling with kavya.

They both started watching the match which was between Warriors V/S Blasters. Soon nandini realised that warrior was the team of there school as she recognised few students amongst whom aarav and rahul were also there who were currently arguing over something as they were not able to do baskets while the other team was scoring one basket over the other.

"ohh damn.....ye hamare team kar kya rahi ha?" Kavya cribbed.

"Ye aarav na ek bhi basket nahi kar paraha ha.....ptani dhyan kha ha iska" she added making nandini look at aarav who was doing nothing but was just running from here and there.

Soon it was half time and both the team went back to there sides for a break and strategy discussion.

"We are losing" Nandini whispered on seeing the score which was 23/40.

" Who is the captain of our team?" Suddenly nandini asked while looking at the name of the team on the board.

"Good Question......Kisi player he agae..." Kavya spoke but stops in between on hearing a loud cheer from the audience, who was cheering while looking in a particular direction.

"Manik" suddenly she whispered with wide eyes on seeing manik on the screen who was entering the court with his team mates.

"Manik Captain of Basket ball team" she thought surprised at this new information.

She was busy in her thoughts when Kavya nudged her bringing her back from her thoughts.

"Yeee.....its a basket" Kavya shouted in enthusiasm making nandini look at the on going game where manik was dibbling the ball expertly and soon it was a basket making everyone cheer loudly.

As soon as manik entered the court the game totally changed......blasters who were winning in the first half where not even able to do one basket. Manik was doing the basket one after the other while others all were astonished seeing his game as he like a pro was playing like a king himself.

"Hayee......he is looking so hot na.......his messing hair.......ufff" one of the girl sitting beside them said making both nandini and kavya look at each other hearing her comment.

"Hehe....see bola thana.........tall, hot and handsome boys...........making every girl wish ki kash uss ball ki jagah vo hoti" Kavya wished cheekily making nandini look at her with wide eyes and open mouth.

"Shut up.....chiiii" nandini mewed while slapping Kavya's arm making her whince playfully.

They both were busy in themselves when suddenly the a loud soud of applause was heard grabbing there attention making them realise that their team has won.

"Wooooo.......we won....nandu we won" Kavya yelled while hugging nandini tightly taking her by surprise.

"Ahhh....kavya relax hum gir jaenge" nandini giggled while hugging her back.

"See kitna maza aya na abhi toh sirf practise thi kl final ha.....soch kal kitna maza aega........i m so excited" Kavya exclaimed making nandini quite. She turned towards the court where all the team members were congratulating manik and praising his skills......wishing him luck for tomorrow for his brilliant play which nandini wot be seeing as she has to stay away from him.

"Hello mam......kha kho gae ap" Kavya asked while shaking nandini making her look around the sport arena which was now emptying.

"Kuch nahi...chal lets leave" she said while pulling kavya along with her before anyone sees them.

They were hurriedly moving out from there when suddenly a basket ball came dribbling towards them at high speed making both of them shriek in fear and astonishment grabbing everyone's attention.

Aarav who was nearby immediately pulled kavya away leaving nandini alone who in fear got rooted on her place and was not able to move from her place. 

On seeing the ball closer, she immediately closed her eyes in fear waiting for the ball to hit her but soon gets confused on not feeling anything making her open her eyes slowly and came face to face with the person she was avoiding.

"Nandini are u okay?" Kavya asked while checking nandini in case she got hurt anywhere.

"Ya" she mewed still looking at manik who was standing infront of her with ball and was staring at her making her look away awkwardly.

"Girls are you fine?" the couch asked worriedly.

"Ye....yes sir" Nandini mewed while tearing her eyes away from manik and hurriedly left from there after grabbing kavya hand.

"Nandini......nandu.....nandu stop" Kavya yelled on nandini as she was literally running.

"Why are we running.........kya hau......are u fine" she asked making nandini close her eyes and calm herself down.

"Yes.....m theek hu"she answered.

"Okay.......kl arri hana tu" suddenly she asked aking nandini nervous.

"No......m nahi...."she denied making kavya frown.

"Kyo.....kyo nahi....please nandini" she pleaded.

"Kavya.....i" she was about to deny again but stopped seeing her puppy face.

"Please......pretty please" she pleaded making nandini sigh.

"okay"

"yes....thanku......it will be so much fun" she squealed while hugging nandini and soon they left for their places as the school was over.

Manik's pov

I saw nandini leaving hurriedly with kavya hurriedly without even given him a glance.

It was the first time after my outburst that I saw her. I have been lately busy in my practises that I totally forgot her.

Though I never expected her here but seeing her cute chubby scared face I wasn't able to stop myself from looking in her eyes. But soon regret as I only saw hurt in them.

"Why.....why I m thinking about her?" I thought worriedly as her presence was making me restless now.

"Why she is affecting me so much.....itna kyo soch raha hu m......stop stop it manik focus....focus on your game?" I was busy in talking to myself when Rahul called me gaining my attention.

"Haan" I said while turning towards him.

"Nice play man" he said while giving me a hug.

"Thanks but we need to focus on tomorrow" with this we chatted for a while and soon departed for our place to rest and get prepared for the important day itself.
