School

Nandini reached her class and teacher was already present in the class.

"May I come in Mam?" Nandini asked standing at the door of the class.

"You are 5 minutes late, Nandini. Where were you?" Asked teacher turning towards Nandini.

"Mam, I was in basketball ground. There were trials going on, so I was there for selections." Answered Nandini to which teacher allowed her to come in the classroom.

Nandini came and sat beside Mukti and Navya. They asked her about selections through gestures. She said that she will tell later. They noded there head and all three started to give attention to class.

After 45 minutes class got over and teacher exits the class.

"What happened Nandu? Did you get selected? " Asked Navya and Mukti impatiently.

"Yes, I got selected. And from tomorrow we are starting practicing. I was nervous at the start but I got selected at the end. I am very happy." Nandini told them and listening this both Navya and Mukti got happy and hugged her.

Evening
Malhotra Mansion

Manik, Nandini, Cabir and Mukti were sitting in drawing room studying. As nobody is in the house, they thought to study in drawing room itself because there is no noise.
They heared the horn sound and understood that Raj and Neyonika came.

They entered the house and see all the children studying. They came towards them and sit with them. Servent came and gave them water.

"How was your day in school?" Asked Raj after having water.

"It was awesome." Replied Nandini, Mukti and Cabir.

"And Raj dad, you know today was our basketball selection. And guess what, I am selected. Now I will play basketball." Said Nandini happily.

"I was very sure from starting only that you will be selected." Said Raj.

"Manik how is your preparation going on?" Asked Raj.

"It's going good dad." Said Manik.

"Anybody want to have some tea and snacks?" Asked Neyonika.

"Mom, is it even a thing to ask. Of course we will have. You just prepare it, we will get freshen up till then." Said Cabir going towards his room.

"Always excited about having food." Said Raj getting a smack from Neyonika.

"What? I am saying truth only." Said Raj while Neyonika glared at him.

"Instead of making fun of my child ho and get freshen up." Said Neyonika.

" Ok, Ok. I am going, don't scare me." Said Raj getting up while Nandini, Mukti and Manik chuckle watching him getting scared of Neyonika.

"And you three, do I need to give invitation. Go to your room and come fast." Said Neyonika turning towards them. They three get up silently and went to there rooms.

After sometime all returned to the drawing room. Neyonika came from kitchen followed by servent who was carrying tray of snacks. Servent kept the trays on table and went back to kitchen.

Neyonika came and sat with them.

"Now tell me what happened in school today." Asked Neyonika.

"Neyo mom, I will tell you first." Said Nandini and told her about basketball match.

"And mom, I made the first goal against manik. He was not even able the take ball from me till I made the goal." Said Nandini proudly while Manik frowned listening her.

" Oh hello, Ms. Smarty you were able to make the goal because I let you made. I was lenient towards you all." Said Manik.

"It's just that you are not ready to accept your defeat." Said Nandini.

"Shut up you both. Always find reasons to fight." Manik was about to retort back but Neyonika shut them up.

"Mom this is not fair. You always let her say anything and when I was about to answer back you shut us up." Said Manik to Neyonika.

"Because she loves me more." Said Nandini teasing Manik.

"See now also you are letting her speak and making me silent." Said Manik grumpily.

"It is not like this Manik. I love all of you equally. But you are elder amongst the four, so you should understand." Said Neyonika.

"Now both of you keep quiet." Said Neyonika when Nandini and Manik was about to say something. They both become silent and all started to have their tea and snacks.

Next day

From today practice of sports meet is getting started in school. One side students and teachers both were preparing and arranging everything for sports meet and other side students who were participating are starting practice.

In all this, Manik was the one who has very much burden on his head because he was involved in almost everything, like responsibility in arrangement, as he is the head boy of school, and he was also participating in two sports i.e., football and basketball, so practicing also need time and the most important, he was in 12th class so preparation for board exams.

Talking about Nandini, she is very much happy and enjoying everything be it preparation for arrangements or practicing for basketball. She is devoting most of her time to basketball practice and Manik is ofcourse helping her.

Like this a week passed with all of them preparing and practicing.

School
Sports meet
Day 1

Today it is the first day of sports meet. There were so much crowd because students and teachers from other schools also came.

Nandini And manik were busy with preparation. Manik is supervising the preparation in ground with abhi helping him. He is checking if all the equipments of game were perfectly arranged. While Nandini is checking if everything is perfectly arranged for the students who were going to participate today. Mukti is also helping them.

Alya and Navya were getting ready for there match of volleyball while Cabir and Dhruv were doing the same for cricket match.

Nandini, Mukti, Manik and Abhi arrived in the corridor where Alya, Navya, Cabir and Dhruv were as they were going for there respective matches.

"Best of luck guys." Wished Nandini chirply. They thanked her.

"buena suerte." Said abhi.

"gracias." They Replied while Nandini looked confused from abhi to them.

"What are you guys saying." Asked Nandini.

"We are speaking in Spanish. Abhi said good luck and we replied thank you. You are the only from all of us who don't know Spanish." Said Cabir.

"Because all of you ditched me. When I was not in India, you all together took classes for Spanish." Nandini said grumpily.

"Leave this tell me Nandu, you are coming to see me playing. Okay." Ordered Navya.

"Oh Ms. Madhubala she is coming to see my match. " Said Cabir.

" No she will come to see my match." Said Navya and they both started to argue.

"Stop guys. I will come to both. We have already decided that for fast half, me and Mukti will come in volleyball ground while Manik and Abhi will come in cricket and for second half it will be vice versa." Said Nandini and they all noded.

"Guys group hug?" Said Dhruv and they all pounced on him making him stumbled back. They all group hugged and after wishing each other luck all moved towards there destination.
