: a two handed sword that Cross buy as his starting weapon. Too big and too heavy to be called a sword.

- Azrael (Two Handed Sword):

: a two handed weapon and Cross primary weapon to replace his broken Anneal Greatsword. Taken from a rare boss drop.

- Robe of Priest (armor): the starting armor that Cross used. It eventually replaced by a Robe of Lyusula.

: a two handed sword that James take as his starting weapon in ALO. Cross can wield it both 1 hand or 2 hands. This act as a back up weapon whenever he lost his primary weapon.

- Last Legacy (Two Handed Sword):

: a two handed sword created by the player blacksmith, Raizer and Lisbeth. 2 handed sword that can be use 1 handed for practicality and to honor the person that gave him a new meaning. This sword has become a primary weapon for Cross.

- Heracles Gauntlets (Gauntlets weapon):

: a gauntlets that was used by the legendary Heracles. It was dropped from a boss Cross happen to stumble and fight. In order to unlock the secret bonuses the gauntlets have, Cross needs to complete 12 most hardest task alone. Cross ditched his greatsword for the gauntlets.

- Priest Dignity (armor): a light armor that represent the status of Imps Priest. This is Cross main armor that he use and he fortunately able to import the armor data from SAO into ALO.

1. In real life: quiet, kind, helpful, cold when get angry, brutal and merciless if he needs to, always goes straight to the point.

2. In game (Roleplay): talkative, charismatic, always smiling, mischievous when confronted by enemies, brutal and merciless, serious in a fight or duel, always goes straight to the point.

Background:
James Cross, born in America, but due to his parents works, James move with his parents to Yokohama, Japan. In Japan however, he became intrigued with the game, and decided to join in the game.

Chronology:
1. Aincrad Arc:
- Aria of a Starless Night: after hearing Kibaou's statement about the beta testers, James was the second that seen to defend the beta testers, harshly told them that if there's no beta testers, Kibaou and the rest can't even play the game, to the point he taunt Kibaou for being a total newbie.

- The Black Swordsman: Cross appear in 47th floor and held the ambush that was hold by the Titan's Hand guild, led by Rosaria. Cross easily handled them alone, due to his level is higher than the attacker. All attackers are surrendered, but Rosalia tries to persuade him to form a party, only to be taunted mercilessly by Cross. Anger by the insult, she blindly attack Cross, only to get countered by Cross. Then, Cross threatened the bandits until they agreed to voluntary go to the prison managed by Aincrad Liberation Force (The Army). After the whole ordeal, Cross talk to both Silica and Kirito, before he goes back to the first floor to attend his patient.

- October, 2024: near the end of the second year, Cross has move his workplace to 50th floor, Algade, and had great relationship with Agil, Kirito, and others.

- November, 2024: Cross close his workplace, and came to 75th floor's boss battle to aid in the boss fight. Prior to Kirito's rematch with Heathcliff, Kirito also thanked James for always helping and supporting the other players mentality and help them to grind, in order to reach the front lines.

2. Fairy Dance Arc:
: Sword Art Online era has cleared, James manage to come back to his family. James is on Dicey Cafe, run by his "big brother" Agil. By the time James got to the cafe, he noticed that Kirito is talking to Agil about the game Alfheim Online. Short talk later, James learned that Asuna hasn't been back from the Online World. So, he decided to help Kirito, by buying AmuSphere and Alfheim Online to dive in first.

- Bless Upon the Sleeping Knights:
After getting through things that held him and such as a solo player, Cross meet an Imp player, Yuuki. Impressed is an understatement, especially when he saw her and felt that she's stronger than him. Cross wanted to join her. So he ask the probably the biggest mistake he make and that is asking her for a duel. After a while of fighting, Cross lost the fight. Cross ask that he would be happy if he can join her, and to his surprise, she wanted him to join.

- I'm always at Your Side:
After the event of party at Asuna's house and Yuuki suddenly log out while crying, Cross become more and more worried about Yuuki. January 11, James and Asuna met Yuuki at Yokohama Kohouku General Hospital. After borrowing the Neighboring room and got access to log in, Cross and Asuna arrived at the spot of the first meeting in ALO. Yuuki confessed that she was very happy that Asuna and Cross found her, before revealing to them how the Sleeping Knights met and why they really trying to engrave their names on the Monument of Swordsmen. March 29, 2026, Yuuki's condition got worsen. And Cross and Asuna immediately rushes to the hospital, learning that Yuuki's death was close at hand. When Cross also log into ALO to see Yuuki, Cross got kissed on the cheek by Yuuki and she told that she's happy that both of them to meet, before she finally passed away peacefully on Cross' arms, surrounded by Asuna who got Yuuki's Original Sword Skill, and the Sleeping Knights, before Cross cried harshly in agony. The next day, Cross come to the cliff sides and create a tombstone to remember Yuuki, before he goes telling a sermon in front of the tombstone. After all the sermon, Cross kneeled and pray for her, before he log out from the game.

A. Two Handed Sword:
- Avalanche: high level 2 handed sword charging skill, consist of a slash from an overhead stance.
- Back Rush: a counter technique to spin around when an opponent has the player's back
- Cascade: an overhead slash
- Cataract: a 2 hit combo, consist of quick slash of Horizontal.
- Cyclone: a spinning sword slash
- Rumbling Earth: a 2 hit combo, by dragging the sword and then slash the enemy upward that creates an earth pillar. 50% physical 50% Earth
- Thunderclap: a 2 hit combo, consist of jumping into the air and slash the enemy as they land, and the black lightning struck the enemy. 50% physical 50% Darkness
- X Slash: a 4 hit combo, consist of creating a giant X shape wave, then hurl it into the enemy.

B. Martial Arts:
- Embracer: an unarmed skill that pierces the enemy with the fingers
- Gengetsu: a Backflip kick technique
- Haganeri: a defense skill that increases the player's defense for a single second to such extent that their entire body becomes harder than a set of full plate armor. Activation requires the player to be unarmed and only wearing non metallic armor.
- Senda: a basic Martial Arts lunging skill
- Suigetsu: a roundhouse kick
- Gokutotsu: a parry attack. If any attack hits Cross, he will pierce his hand into the enemy. Cross usually activate this after he use Haganeri skill.
- Sekia Kuretsuha: gather the power into his fist and slam his fist down, before creating a giant magma that burst out from the ground.

- Shin Shun Goku Tatsu: deliver a series of attacks in a rapid pace. 50% to deal instant kill.

- Shi No Ken: deliver 1 powerful blow that's able to kill without any follow up attacks.

- Raging Storm: a 9 hit combo, consist of taking a 2 handed sword stance and then slash it upward, creating a powerful tornado. 20% physical, 40% Darkness, 40% Wind.
- Tornado: a 6 hit combo, consist of creating a tornado by doing a powerful spinning slash. 30% physical, 70% Wind.
- Chain Slash: a 5 hit combo, consist of doing 2 diagonal slash, then an overhead, a horizontal, then end it with a spinning overhead slash.
- Grand Cross: a 2 hit combo, consist of horizontal and overhead slash with an imbued Lightning blade. 50% physical, 50% Lightning
- 8 Chains of Hell: an 8 hit combo, consist of a powerful slashes on the enemy.

B. One Handed Sword:
- Deadly Sins: 7 hit combos that consist of various slashes, several full vircle spins and a backward moonsault
- Howling Octave: a 5 high speed consecutive thrusts attack, followed by a downward and then an upward slash, before culminating in a final, full force overhead slash. 40% physical, 60% Fire.
- Lightning Fall: a heavy ranged attack that involves kicking off the ground with full force and then stabbing the sword into the ground, shooting out blue sparks in all directions. 30% physical, 70% Lightning.
- Savage Fulcrum: a sword skill that traces the Arabic number "4" In the air. 50% physical, 50% Ice.
- Blooming Death Flower: a heavy AOE attack, consist of stabbing the sword to the ground, creates a wave of darkness around him. 100% Darkness
- Mother's Rosario: an 11 hit combo, consist of 5 consecutive stabs in a straight line from the top right to bottom left, then draw the sword back and perform another 5 stabs from the top left to the bottom right, perpendicular to the prior 5. The two lines together form an X shape with their third hit overlapping. Finally, the user tilts their body and use their entire strength to perform a last stab directly at the intersection of the cross shape created by the former 10 strikes.

Relationship:
- Kirigaya Kazuto: one of the first player he can called friend. Though Cross didn't talk to Kirito much, whenever he talk to Kirito, he can have a pretty deep conversation about it and have a good compatibility with him in a fight.

- Yuuki Asuna: Cross put a respect on Asuna based on her fighting skill. Cross also can annoy her by asking when she will marry Kirito so he can be the priest on the church.

- Andrew Gilbert Mills (Agil): Cross "bond brother". Cross usually help Agil on his stores selling stuff and such, or stockpiling materials for Agil.

- Tsuboi Ryoutarou (Klein): Cross tends to help Fuurinkazan, and he usually drink with Klein whenever he has the times.

- Ayano Keiko (Silica): Cross sees her as little sister figure, so he can be overprotective on Silica.

- Shinozaki Rika (Lisbeth): Cross usually ask her to get his weapon to be upgraded. Even with that, Cross and Lisbeth are best friends since both are passionate in weapons and both love to talks. Sometimes Cross goes on an errand for her weapons.

- Konno Yuuki: the time he lost his duel against Yuuki, Cross eventually develop a feeling to Yuuki. When Yuuki succumb to her sickness and passed away, Cross cries in agony, and even create a makeshift tombstone only for her. From there, he didn't even goes online on game until Lisbeth ask him to go help the others. Even until all done, Cross still keep going to Yuuki's "grave" Just to cry and get comfort.

- Carl Shadeheart (Raizer) (Balasubas19): Cross first partner and best friend both in game and in real life. Compatibility between these two are so good, people think they're twins.

Trivia:
- Cross is one of the person that use his real name as his username of the game. The others are Asuna and Yuuki.
- Cross is now attending at the college and wanted to become a psychologist.
