"you've really grown in to a fine young man..."

She said smiling gently, seeing her son after such a long, long time made her feel things she felt when she left Seokjin in the care of his abusive father.

Seokjin frowns, "...I thought you hated me" Seokjin said looking at her with sad eyes, his mother flinch and held her gaze down as the guilt begun to eat her whole. "....I know what I said...I was wrong to leave you for so, so long...but I was actually doing fine when I left the house but as time went by the guilt...I felt guilty leaving my only child..." She said as she tried to hold Seokjin's hand but her reasons wasn't enough to make his heart melt.

"...I'm glad you thought of me for the past few years but you seriously have no fucking idea what I went through when you left with that damn garbage..." Seokjin said glaring at his mother filled with hatred, Yeong-mi, his mother had her mouth shut close as she took in the hurtful yet truthful words.

Yeong-mi bit the insides of her cheeks, "please forgive me son...I regret it a lot...leaving you was my mistake I shouldn't have hated you and left you..." Yeong-mi said as tears started to fall, Seokjin felt conflicted with his feelings towards her, it's been years since he last saw his mother. He was 10 when she left, Seokjin glance at his side to see Taehyung from the distance since Taehyung was the one who offered to give them some space to talk.

"time for me to butt in" Taehyung mumbled and stood up from his sit as he sat down beside Seokjin who has been holding his anger, Yeong-mi looked absolutely stunned to see Taehyung and she knew this man had a very special relationship with Seokjin.

"hello madam, my name is Kim Taehyung"

Taehyung said offering a hand shake, Yeong-mi immediately took it, "ah yes...Yeong-mi...Go Yeong-mi" she said when all of a sudden Seokjin stood up with a scowl in his face, "I'll go to the bathroom first..." Seokjin said and left without giving his mother a spare of glance, Taehyung was about to call out to him but Yeong-mi stopped him.

"it's fine...all of this is my fault...I shouldn't have left him all alone...tell me...how has been this days?" Yeong-mi asked him, Taehyung did not hesitate to answer her.

"I'm doing my best to make him the happiest man in the world"

"oh my...are you two?"

Taehyung nodded as a response, rather than feeling disgust Yeong-mi felt relief, "that's good...when I left Seokjin in the care of his dad...I didn't care whether he'd get hurt or cry...I was selfish and I only cared about my own safety...I'm a really bad mother" Yeong-mi said and without a doubt Taehyung agreed with her being a bad mother and all.

"I actually tried to...um...get him back from his father but I found out...he was in jail for committing a crime and I was more afraid knowing Seokjin grew up under his influence..." Yeong-mi said as she begun to fiddle her fingers, Taehyung stayed silent as he listened to her but at the same time obersving her features. Yeong-mi was the exact female version of Seokjin but she had a more delicate and soft facial expression unlike Seokjin who always wears a glare or a scowl in his face.

"can you please help me...get close to my son again...I really regret it leaving him all alone...I missed him so much...please help me..." Yeong-mi pleaded as tears fell from her eyes, Taehyung gulped, he was in a tight spot to where he couldn't make a proper decision not until Seokjin came and heard everything.

"...did you actually look for me?"

Seokjin said, Yeong-mi stood up, as she nodded multiple times, "yes...yes...I did, there was never a day to where I don't think of my own son...I always came back to check our old house hoping you'd be there...but I almost lost all hope not until I saw you..." Yeong-mi said as she grabbed Seokjin by his hand, he felt the sincerity in her words. Seokjin knew he couldn't be swayed with emotions easily,"how did you even recognise me?" Seokjin asked her once more, Yeong-mi chuckle as she wipe her tears.

"a mother will always recognise it's own child"

Hearing those words, Seokjin wanted to hug her and forgive her but he knew he can't trust her that easily.

"...thank you for looking for me...but I can't forgive you that easily...please give me more time..."

Seokjin said giving her a warm smile, Yeong-mi's heart melted, she nodded as a response.

"thank you...thank you..."

KIM SEOKJIN POV.

"be careful on your way home..." I said opening the door of the taxi for her, mom chuckle as she put her hands in my shoulder and begun looking at my face.

"...I know it's hard for you to forgive m--"

"hey...it's fine like I said, it won't be easy but I'll try my best to see the good in you" I said as I cut her off before she could cry and it's quite odd, I didn't want to see my mom crying even how much I hated her for leaving me all alone.

"okay...I'll see you soon and...Taehyungsshi?" Mom said to me before turning her attention to Taehyung who was standing behind me, he took a step forward. "Yes?" He said with a smile, I heard mom chuckle.

"thank you for making my son happy..."

As she said those words with a warm smile, mom left along with the taxi, I was still conflicted with my feelings towards mom who suddenly showed up but I guess I'll try to forgive her.

Taehyung held my hands tightly before giving it a kiss, I sigh in relief and lean my whole body against him as if I lost all my energy just from talking to my mom who abandoned me, "are you okay?" he said, I shook my head and stood on my own too feet as I tried to regain my strength.

"Taehyung...I actually realised something today..."

I said as I glance at him, Taehyung smiled and tilted his head in a questionable way.

"what is it?"

"I realised how lucky I am to be chosen by you....thank you for marrying me..."

When I said those words with my fluttering heart, Taehyung, my sweet, sweet husband embraced me tightly in his arms.

"let's live happy okay?"

He said as he rested his forehead against mine, I chuckle, a tear slips right through my cheeks.

I was happy, I was complete, he made me feel complete. When I feel lost and trap, he was always there to find the lost me.

"Yeah, no one can separate us not even death itself"

"that's cheezy hahaha"

I flinch once I realised to what I have said and immediately punched him in the gut, I was a blushing mess due to the embarrassing words I said to him.

"Oh shut up! I-I want to be more sweet towards you okay?!?..." I exclaimed, Taehyung held his stomach, I immediately turned around and walk away leaving him at the side of the road as I gave him a middle finger.

"Honey! don't be like that!!!"

"WHO ARE YOU CALLING HONEY!!! TAKE THAT!!!"

"OW!"

As I threw another punch, Taehyung could only laugh it off as he held my hand tightly with a grinning face, I blushed and somehow felt sorry for hurting him.

"I love you"

I love this man, my heart melted in pure bliss every single day because of him.

I chuckle, I grab him by his collar and kissed him passionately, this missing piece in my heart belonged to Taehyung, he was the missing piece that I yearned and I will love him until our time has come.

"I love you too..."

We will walk the road together, hand in hand, with just the two of us, loving each other so dearly no one can interfere our love.
