"Who's there?"
The thick Scottish accent rang in Quinn's ear. She knew two things: the source of the voice came from the Isle's residential playboy pirate, Harry Hook, and she had to hide.
So she found a metal box that was attached to the roof of the building and hid behind that. Here's the thing; Harry was apart of a gang that was a rival to Mal and the others. No thanks to an incident involving a bucket of shrimp being poured onto somebody's head. Bottom line: Quinn would be snatched if she stuck around.
The heartbreaker flinched as she heard a sword being pulled out. "Well that's fun," she whispered to herself.
"I know you're there," Harry threatened, "I'm not crazy."
"Debatable," Quinn whispered. Harry Hook was a madman, if you really thought about it. Quinn had barely realized it while the two were involved with each other.
Listen, when you put the Isle's biggest heartbreakers together, one will usually kiss the other, and then proceed to ignore them. At least, that's what Quinn experienced. For the record, Harry kissed her.
Things were, complicated between Harry and Quinn, to say the least.
Thank goodness a rock happened to be beside the redhead. While her name calling was good, her throwing was inferior. This would be perfect for her situation at hand.
Quinn's eyes caught to a metal pail on the directly opposite side of the metal box she was hiding behind. She chucked the rock against it, knocking the bucket over. Harry was distracted enough for Quinn to get away.
But she tripped on another metal pail, which was now enough for the pirate to turn his attention onto her. Harry flashed a wicked smile at the sight of her.
"Hookie," Quinn said through gritted teeth. Another Quinn thing: giving people random nicknames based on their appearances.
"Quinny. What a lovely surprise," Harry said, his hands gripping onto his sword.
"Um, so, this has been a delight," Quinn rambled as the pirate inched closer, "But I kinda have to bounce, so . . . "
Before anything else was said, Quinn jumped onto the stair ramp, and rushed down the metal stairs, Harry close behind. She dodged trash cans, people, and anything else in her way as she ran through the streets.
Quinn found herself in an alley. No footsteps were behind her, so the teen figured that she'd lost Harry. But Quinn was backed into a wall with a sword near her head. Harry Hook stood in front of her, wearing his signature smirk, per usual.
"Well, well, well," the blue-eyed pirate glanced at Quinn's figure up and down, "What do we have here?"
Quinn rolled her eyes. "You already know who I am, Harry," she said, "You litearly called me 'Quinny' a couple minutes ago."
"Oh, but it's more fun this way," Harry said, "So do you perfer the sword, or the hook?"
"Neither," the heartbreaker winced, "I'd perfer to be let go."
"But somebody wants to see you," Harry insisted.
"You mean your boss," Quinn said, "Listen, we'll make a deal. You let me go, and neither of us tells anyone about seeing the other. Deal?"
"Aw, that's cute. You think I can just let you go," the pirate cooed.
Quinn shrugged, "Well, yeah. It's litearly in the name. So just put the flashy sword down and we could forget all about this." She pointed between the two of them. "You know, like you did after you kissed me."
Eyes rolled, "You're still on about that."
"What can I say," Quinn crossed her arms, "I'm as vindictive as I look."
"You knew it was going to happen," Harry smirked, leaning in closer. "You're just mad because I beat you to it."
Quinn, unfortunately, didn't have a response. Harry was right.
There was only a couple of centimeters separating the two of them. Their colored eyes remained on each other. Harry's sword was still by Quinn's head. But, Quinn and Harry's attention was only focused on the person in front of them.
It was interesting, to say the very least. Whatever mini-staring-contest was going on was an interesting thing to be happening to those two people in that moment.
Quinn, being the person she was, broke the silence first.
"Oh my god what is with you?" Quinn teased, "Why are you so close to me?"
Harry's face expression didn't change at all. "Is there something the matter?" He tilted his head a little. Resulting in his nose brushing against Quinn's.
The blonde held her breath. The two of them hadn't been that close in a long time. Quinn didn't know how to feel about it.
The two of them were seemingly intoxicated by each other's scents. Peppermint and salt water seemed to loom around Quinn's senses, and she found herself feeling a little dizzy from it. Harry was caught in some sort of scent as well. It was floral-like, with hints of vanilla and something spicy. It wasn't making Harry feel dizzy, but he couldn't find the will in himself to leave the floraly, vanilla haze.
"Harry," Quinn said in a low voice, "let me go."
The pirate finally huffed, before rolling his eyes and dropping the sword away from Quinn's head.
"You're no fun, m'lady," Harry muttered.
Quinn chuckled to herself. "The last time we had fun, it didn't end well," she looked up at Harry. "See you around, Hookie."
And with that, Quinn slid away from Harry, and walked out of the alley. She was back into the lighten world.
Harry had watched the redhead walk away. He adjusted his pirate hat, smirking at the girl's retreating figure for the last time . . . the last time in awhile.
"See you around, lass."

Quinn had run back to Maleficent's castle, something that she usually wouldn't do. A dark stretch limo waited for the VKs. Quinn's friends began to pour out the castle, all with duffel bags and backpacks in hand. Quinn ran over to her blue-haired best friend, who had carried her stuff.
"Q! Where have you been? We were worried!" Evie asked upon Quinn's arrival.
"Sightseeing. We're gonna be gone for awhile anyways," Quinn lied as her eyes caught on her black backpack, decorated with white hearts and many buckles, and the matching duffel bag that went with it, "Thanks for getting my stuff E."
Evie smiled in response and climbed into the limo; Quinn followed suit. Carlos ran to the limo, chucking his bag full of stuff in the trunk as his mother called after him.
"Come back here, now!" Cruella DeVil called, "Carlos! Ingrate."
Carlos jumped into the limo. Jay also did, but he stole the limo's hood ornament before he did. Quinn rolled his eyes as Jay climbed into the limo and flashed the tiny golden crown in front of the group.
Mal was the last one. She stood by the open car door. But she didn't go in yet. A couple of moments passed before the purple-haired girl entered the car. The car started as the villain parents bid their children their last-minute goodbyes.
"Bring home gold!"
"Bring home a puppy."
"Bring home a prince."
"Bring home a rosebush."
The five teens gave their parents one last glance as the car exited the Isle of the Lost. Their eyes than turned to the unusually large stash of candy that sat in front of them. Candy was a rare thing on the Isle, and the baby with the lollipop was one of the rarest things you could find on the island.
The boys immediately fought over the candy, scattering gumballs and chocolates everywhere. Quinn had come across a container of sour ropes that had gone untouched by Jay and Carlos.
Evie had also found some blue rock candy near the corner of the limo. She pulled out one of many of her makeup brushes and brought it to the purple-haired girl's face. "You're looking a little washed out," Evie said, "Let me help you out."
Mal brushed the hand away, "Ew, stop. I'm plotting."
"Well, It's not very attractive," Evie said, turning to Quinn and flashing a smile.
"Love you blueberry," Quinn said, pushing Evie's hand down, "But not right now."
Evie sighed, and bit her rock candy. Her eyes lit up at the taste of it. Carlos also discovered a new sort of candy.
"Oh!" Carlos said, nudging Jay and prompting him to look at the candy, "These! It's salty like nuts, but it's sweet like I don't know what."
"Let me see," Jay asked. Carlos just showed the chewed-up chocolate, "Ew!" The thief flicked Carlos in the face and took the rest of the candy that was in his hand. He popped it in his mouth, and his eyes also lit up at the candy.
Quinn wrinkled her nose at Carlos' antics. "You guys are gross."
Jay had also dismantled the limo's sound system, because what says, "It was dumb to bring villians to the US of A" than with theft. Mal had come across a remote and randomly pushed one of the buttons. One of them opened to the small divider between the driver and the VK's. Evie glanced out the window, making nothing of it at first, but then—
"Look!" Evie pointed to the window.
Mal, Jay, Quinn, and Carlos all looked out the window to find a broken bridge that would plummet all the VK's to their deaths.
"It's a trap!" Carlos yelled.
"No kidding dofus!" Quinn yelled back, satisfied that those three words would be her last.
The VK's cradled against each other. Quinn held on to Evie and Jay, being the closest to her, as they all screamed and held against each other. The redhead immediately expected the cold rush of water, but nothing happened. The driver just kept driving.
Everyone cautiously sat up, looking around them.
Quinn took in her surroundings, taking note of the fact that there was no water around her, "What the—"
Everyone's eyes immediately caught to a golden bridge being formed by the back window. Everyone's face lit up at the sight of their bridge. Relief washed over, as they knew that day wasn't their day of reckoning.
"What just happened?" Carlos asked, still smiling at the bridge, nevertheless.
"It must be magic," Evie said, as Quinn fished a sour rope that stuck to her blue hair.
Mal turned to the driver in excitement. "Hey," she asked, tapping on the divider with the black remote, "Did this little button just open up the magic barrier?" She held up the remote.
"No, this one opens the magic barrier," the drive held up a golden remote with only one button on it, "That one opens my garage. And this button..." He pushed another button that closed the divider.
Mal's eyes stayed on the divider, slowly closing. She turned back to her friends, who had smirked at the driver. "Okay. Nasty," she said, tapping the remote against her hands, "I like that guy."

Quinn woke up to the sound of a marching band. She opened her eyes and lifted her head from Evie's shoulder, which she had been using as a pillow. Quinn hadn't slept that night, due to her mother screaming at her, yet again.
Quinn yawned as the car stopped. Carlos and Jay began fighting over some sort of cloth and tumbled out of the car as the driver opened it. The green-eyed girl rolled her eyes as she heaved her backpack over her shoulder. She didn't, necessarily, need to worry much about people taking her stuff since they were all good (a word Quinn hated), but the limo driver seemed extra nasty.
The girls stepped over the boys, who were still fighting over the fabric. Evie spun around, taking in the place. Quinn took it in, too. The bushes had green leaves on them, and some were even spotted with pink thingies that Quinn didn't know the names of. Her red lips let out a low whistle at the sight of a large stone building that stood in front of them.
Three brown haired individuals stood in front of the teenagers, all dressed in pastel, crisp clothing. They looked quite neat compared to the VK's. The only thing remotely clean was Quinn's embellished white boots, which were just passable.
Carlos and Jay continued fighting over the scarf. "Oh! Ah! Ow! Stop!" Carlos yelled as Jay put a foot on Carlos, "You got everything else! Why do you want whatever this is?"
"'Cause you want it!" Jay reasoned.
The basis of every sibling argument, Quinn thought to herself, snorting at the two.
"No! Give it to me! Ow! Let go!"
The quarrel was interrupted by Quinn's boot kicking both of them.
"Guys, guys, guys!" Mal scowled, giving a tight lipped smile to the folks in front of them, "We have an audience."
Jay and Carlos gave the marching band and the brunettes a look, before Jay removed his foot off of Carlos. He snatched the scarf. "Just cleaning up," Jay chucked the fabric back into the limo. "Get up," he sneered at Carlos, who stood up.
"Leave it like you found it!" a lady in periwinkle said in a sing-song voice, "And by that, I mean just leave it."
Jay frowned, but his eyes immediately caught on to the girl in the pink dress. Quinn would've already flirted with the other brunette, but she had a feeling that he and the pink-dressed girl were dating.
"Hello, foxy," Jay said, smirking at the girl.
Quinn pinched the bridge of her nose, "Oh, here we go."
"The name's Jay." The girl let out an uncomfortable laugh as she glared at Jay up and down.
"Smooth," Quinn muttered, snorting at Jay's poor flirting.
"Welcome to Auradon Prep," the older woman butted in between Jay and the girl, causing Jay to frown. "I'm fairy godmother, headmistress." Fairy Godmother did some sort of curtsey for the teenagers.
Mal's face lit up. "The fairy godmother? As in," she did a wand gesture with her hand, "'Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo?'"
"Bibbidi-bobbidi. You know it," Fairy Godmother slightly pointed at Mal.
"Yeah, I always wondered what it felt like for Cinderella when you just appeared, out of nowhere, with that sparkly wand and warm smile," Mal paused as Fairy Godmother politely smiled, "And that sparkling wand."
"Way to be subtle," Quinn muttered, scoffing.
"That was a long time ago," the fairy said, "And as I always say, 'don't focus on the past or you'll miss the future.'"
The other teenagers stepped forward. "It's so good to finally meet you all," the first brunette, said, "I'm Ben."
"Prince Benjamin," the girl interrupted, "Soon to be king."
As much as Quinn wanted to roll her eyes/gag, she knew that she should at least pretend to be happy there. Evie, however, didn't need any help with that, for she was already swooning over Prince Ben.
"You had me at prince," Evie said, curtsying, "My mom's a queen, which makes me a princess."
"The Evil Queen has no royal status here," the girl said with a fake smile, "and neither do you."
Quinn couldn't believe it. The VK's were there for barely five minutes and Auradon's residents were already inslulting them.
"You know, for a princess, you're quite unplesant," Quinn muttered under her breath, loud enough for the pink girl to hear and send daggers Quinn's way.
"This is Audrey," Ben introduced in an attempt to diffuse the awkward air.
"Princess Audrey. His girlfriend," Audrey grabbed Ben's hand, "Right, Bennyboo?"
Ben just looked uncomfortable.
"Ben and Audrey are going to show you all around, and I'll see you tomorrow. The doors of wisdom are never shut," Fairy Godmother said, breaking Ben and Audrey's hands apart in one swooping motion, "But the library hours are from 8:00 to 11:00. And as you may have heard, I have a little thing about curfews."
The teenagers let out a small laugh as Fairy Godmother left, along with the marching band. The VK's were left with Ben and Audrey, whom Quinn despised already.
"It is so, so, so good to finally me—" Ben proceeded to shake Jay's hand, but Jay punched Ben int he arm instead, "meet you all."
Ben went to shake Mal's hand, and the two just stared at each other for a moment before Ben moved to Evie. "This is a momentous occasion," Evie stared at Ben dreamily as he moved to Carlos, "and one that I hope will go down in history—Is that chocolate?" Ben licked the bit off his hand, moving to Quinn (who had given him the only normal handshake, by the way), "As the day our two peoples began to heal."
"Or the day that you showed five peoples where the bathrooms are," Mal interjected.
Ben looked over to the purple-haired girl, "A little bit over the top?"
"A little more than a little bit."
"Well, so much for my first impression," Ben said.
The two stared at each other for a little bit. Quinn smirked, knowing that something was going to happen between them at one point or another. Audrey must've seen it too, because she butted in between Ben and Mal.
"Hey! You're Maleficent's daughter, aren't you?" Audrey asked, "Yeah, you know what? I totally do not blame you for your mother trying to kill my parents and stuff. Oh, my mom's Aurora. Sleeping—"
"Beauty!" Mal finished with fake enthusiasm, "Yeah, I've heard the name. You know, and I totally do not blame your grandparents for inviting everyone in the whole world but my mother to their stupid christening."
"Water under the bridge!" Audrey said, clinging onto Ben.
"Totes!"
The enemies shared a fake laugh, before staring at each other. Quinn suddenly began to understand why Maleficent cursed Aurora.
"Okay! So, how about a tour?" Ben said, clapping his hands and changing the subject upon noticing the awkward tension, "Yeah?"
Ben led the VK's to the front of Auradon Prep, where he gave the group tidbits of Auradon Prep's history, founding, and other junk that Quinn didn't bother paying attention to.
"Auradon prep, originally built over 300 years ago and converted into a high school by my father when he became king," Ben informed the group. He smiled and clapped his hands in front of the statue. The statue morphed from the form of what seemed to be a human, into a beast.
Carlos screamed and jumped into Quinn's arms. Quinn raised an eyebrow and glared at him.
"Carlos, It's okay," Ben reassured Carlos, "My father wanted his statue to morph from beast to man to remind us that anything is possible." He gazed at the statue.
"Well in that case," Quinn dropped the white-haired boy, who fell onto the pavement with a thump.
"Does he shed much?" Mal randomly asked.
"Yeah, mom won't let him on the couch," Ben joked along. Quinn smirked as Audrey tightened her grip on her boyfriend. Jealous, pinky?
The group continued walking. Carlos stayed behind, however, and clapped at the statue. He frowned when it didn't morph and clapped again. Upon noticing this, Quinn grabbed his arm and yanked him away from the statue, pulling him with the rest of the group.
The tour came to a close inside a building with four walls covered in light brown wood. The lights reflected off of the shiny walls, giving the room a glowy vibe. A large staircase stood at the left side of the room. This all seemed unfamiliar to Quinn. The Isle was cold and barren, while Auradon was bright, warm, and cheery with green leaves on their trees.
"So you guys have a lot of magic here in Auradon?" Mal asked, "Like wands and things like that?"
Ben turned around. "Yeah, it exists of course, but It's pretty much retired," he explained, "Most of us here are just ordinary mortals."
"Who happened to be kings and queens," Mal challenged.
"That's true," Audrey said, smiling at the group as she pulled Ben's arm around her, "Our royal blood goes back hundreds of years."
Quinn gave a tight lipped smile to the brunette, who happily returned it. Ben's eyes caught to a boy in a marching band uniform by the stairs as he removed Audrey's hand off his shoulder. "Doug. Doug, come down," he said.
The boy walked down the stairs and Ben put a friendly arm around his shoulder. "This is Doug. He's going to help you with your class schedules and show you the rest of the dorms. I'll see you later, okay?" he told the group—mainly to Mal, if you had asked Quinn, "And If there is anything you need, feel free to—"
"Ask Doug," Audrey finished, still fake smiling.
Okay pinky, throttle back, Quinn thought, We get it, your oral hygiene is 10/10. You don't need to remind us with plastic smiles.
Audrey and Mal shared a fake laugh again. Ben laughed along, too, not knowing how else to fill the awkward air. Audrey dragged Ben with her as the couple left the VK's.
"Hi, guys. I'm Dopey's son," Doug told the VK's, "As in Dopey, Doc, Bashful, Happy, Grumpy, Sleepy, and . . . " His eyes caught onto Evie, "Heigh-ho."
Evie took a step forward towards the boy. "Evie," she said, flirtatiously, "Evil Queen's daughter."
Doug stared at the blue-haired girl for a couple more moments before remembering what he was there for. "Okay. So about your classes, I, uh, put in the requirements already..." Doug trailed off, listing the classes, "history of woodsmen and pirates—"
Quinn smirked. "Pirates," she muttered, remembering her run-in with Harry Hook.
"—safety rules for the Internet, and." He looked a Mal, who was looking over his shoulder, "uh, remedial goodness 101."
"Let me guess. New class?" Doug nodded as Mal dropped a gum wrapper on the ground, "Come on, guys, let's go find our dorms." The VK's followed Mal up the stairs, but Evie stayed behind, giving Doug another flirty look before following her friends.
Doug's eyes stayed on the girl's until he remembered. "Oh, uh, yeah, your dorms are that way, guys," he pointed to the other side of the room, as he counted his seven uncles with his fingers again, "Dopey, Doc, Bashful, Happy, Grumpy, Sleepy, and..."
"Sneezy," Carlos finished, following his friends.
