Kang Sun-hee is convinced she must have been born for pain.

It was Lee Sa-ra and Choi Hye-jeong who'd hold her down, giggling the entire time. It was Son Myeong-o who'd kick and slap and touch Sun-hee inappropriately, like she was his little toy. It was Jeon Jae-joon who'd always just watch, doing nothing to stop Sun-hee's suffering.

But the worst of them all was Ji-won.

Ji-won would always turn up the cruelty by 100%, making Sun-hee's life a living hell. She'd have Sun-hee around as her personal slave, leaving burn marks all over Sun-hee's body with those cigarettes she loved so much. She alienated Sun-hee from everyone so the only person Sun-hee had left... was Ji-won herself.

Desperate and unsure of where to turn, Sun-hee seeks refuge from one of her favorite teachers - Mr. Yoon. He had always been close to Sun-hee, making her feel looked after and cared for. Sun-hee trusted Mr. Yoon... or so she thought. Their relationship blurred the lines from professional to something more, finally taking a turn for the worst when he takes her virginity. He said that he loved her and Sun-hee believed him. He said that he would protect her and that they'd be happy together. 

But the opposite happened.

News of their affair breaks out and as a result, Mr. Yoon turns on Sun-hee. The blame was solely placed on Sun-hee and having no choice but to drop out of school, she has to start over and go to a new school. But the past follows her like a dark cloud, haunting her memory every single day afterwards.

Now an adult, Sun-hee was still haunted by her past. Sure, she managed to graduate and became a successful doctor at a prestigious hospital. But Sun-hee kept to herself. She had no friends, and she didn't trust anyone enough to date them. As much as Sun-hee longed to move on from the past, it seemed impossible. Sun-hee was permanently trapped, growing older physically but mentally stuck as a teenager.

Her refuge comes in the form of an old classmate and fellow victim of Park Yeon-jin... Moon Dong-eun. She gives Sun-hee an offer she simply can't refuse, join her plan for revenge and punish every single bastard that had ever done her wrong. 

Naturally... Sun-hee agrees.

✷ this story will feature a very inappropriate relationship between sun-hee and her teacher. he's taking advantage of her as well and using her, all of which will be detailed. it's not something to be romanticized but rather, a warning tale.

✷ will this fic have a set love interest? no. this is not only a story of revenge and getting even but also a story of healing, self forgiveness, etc. edit: i decided to change my mind and give sun-hee a love interest so that'll be joo yeo-jeong. she deserves some love along with the healing and self forgiveness and i think it'll ultimately be a better choice overall. plus yeo-jeong is my adorable slightly psychotic (for the right reasons) pookie
