First Place at the Lazy Awards, in Fantasy. This is my first win in the Fantasy Category, where it faced some very tough competition. I normally submit my book in Action/Adventure, but I went for the ultra-competitive Fantasy category this time and it paid off!

1 what's your favorite holiday and why?

 Christmas. I love the season, the vibe that fills the streets, the decorations, the joyful disposition everyone seems to have. It's such a wonderful time to enjoy with friends and family. 

2 what is one Wattpad goal? 

I definitely want my books to reach a wider audience. For starters, I'm hoping I can take them beyond the 10k reads.

3 if you could gain advice from your favorite author, who would you choose and what would you ask?

 Jane Austen. I've always marveled at her use of irony and humor to provide biting social commentary, so I'd ask her for insights into that unique ability. 

4 what's your favorite thing about Wattpad?

 The chance to meet, learn from and even help new writers from all over the world. This really is a collaborative and inclusive community. 

5 what's your favorite snack?

 Salted chips with lots of hot sauce!

6 how would you celebrate a publishing deal?

 Taking my family out for a nice dinner and drinking lots of champagne! 

7 what's the best way to handle a bully? 

Standing up to them. It may be the hardest thing you ever do, but it's so worth it. 

8 what is your favorite movie? 

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind 

9 what's a song you enjoy? Who is the artist? 

Human, by The Killers, because of the line "Give my regards to soul and romance, they always did the best they could." 

10 what's your schedule regarding your writing?

 I write every day! I distract very easily, though, so it takes me quite a while to finish a single chapter.

11 what's a good piece of advice for a newcomer?

 Believe in your voice and talent. The best thing you can do is have unlimited faith in yourself.

My book, A Timely Knight, is an original Steampunk story full of action. It features an LGBT romance, because growing up, I always wanted to read a big, exciting adventure that featured a gay character, like myself. It's a story about time, cycles, love and nostalgia. It has a wide array of interesting characters, exciting action sequences and engrossing worldbuilding. It's a book I'm extremely proud of, a tiny piece of my heart.
