I'm one of the winners of the WattOriginals 2020 and Best Opening Chapter.

I never expected to win either of these categories. It means a lot to me, especially because I consider joining and winning awards as an interim step in my path to becoming a better writer. I'd like to get this book finished before the submission deadline for the Wattys next year, so my reader's comments and the awards I've won mean a lot to me.

1. if you could gain advice from your favorite author, who would you choose and what would you ask?

I'd ask how to handle conflicting sides of an ethical dilemma to one of my favourite authors of all time: Neil Gaiman.

2. how would you celebrate a publishing deal ?

Well, since I'm a foodie, I'd probably go to my favourite Japanese restaurant and order the most expensive sushi.

3. what's a song you enjoy? Who is the artist?

Such a hard question to answer! I love "Iris" by the Goo Goo Dolls, for example.

4. what inspired you to write?

I usually get inspired by anything that can cause conflict. I love having at least two opposed views to an issue.

5. what's the best way to handle a bully?

My advice might be the lamest ever, but I'd advice to be the better person, and that includes: (1) stay calm, (2) ask for help – family, friends, professionals – regardless of fear or shame, (3) block this person (or people) out from your life in many ways as possible (and if possible), (4) love yourself and be proud of who you are, with your skills and flaws, because you're human.

6. what's your favorite holiday and why?

My favourite holiday is Christmas. It's that special something in the air, the decorations, the food, planning, the music... *sigh*

7. what's your favorite thing about Wattpad?

What I love most about Wattpad is the way we can interact with each other, this sense of "community-building".

8. what's one Wattpad goal?

I'd love my stories to make people think about real life, about what human beings are capable of –both the good and the bad things, and how they mix sometimes– and how hard it actually is to live in a world which isn't in fully black and white. It's got a huge myriad of greys which might be hard to handle.

9. what is your favorite story?

I've got way too many fav stories, both in and outside Wattpad.

10. who is your favorite celebrity?

I'm not a huge fan of celebrities in general. I'd rather leave them alone. But I admit I'd freak out if I managed to see Neil Gaiman in person. And if he spoke to me, I'd faint. Total knockout.

11. how would you enjoy a rainy day?

I'd make and drink some tea, and I'd stare out the window while listening to some music, softly (no, I'm not British – but if you searched my house, you'd probably think so).

Why? Because it's not your regular Sci-Fi. Its main focus is stirring my readers' minds, trying to trigger reactions and emotions by means of conflict and ethical dilemmas in medicine, ethics and politics.
