i have kind of become an awards connoisseur at this point. I enter a lot of awards because my book is rated Mature and doesn't rank on Wattpad rankings. When I came across The Soap Awards I was excited since it was run by @kaiddance who is a Wattpad Ambassador and Star. I never thought in a million years I would win the category. There are so many great romances out there. When I won I felt like okay, I really have something here. It was humbling and wonderful to be recognized by someone like Kaiddance for my work. It really meant a lot.  

1 what's your favorite snack?

 Olive tapenade hummus and baby carrots!

2 what's a good piece of advice for a newcomer?

A good piece of advice to newcomers is to be proud of yourself for posting your writing at all and to take constructive criticism as it is given. It means that person saw something in your writing and wants to help you grow.

3 what's the best way to handle a bully?

 Ignore them. Bullying comes from a place of weakness. When you ignore them you make them feel more insignificant than they already are.

4 Are you still surprised when you get a new vote, follow or comment?

 I am always surprised! It always feels makes me feel like I can't believe people really like this? It's mind blowing! It feels really good too and I love interacting with my readers.

5 if you could hang out with your favorite celeb for a day, who would you choose and what would you do?

Oh God, should I pick my celebrity crush? Okay I will. I'd pick Charlie Hunnam and he'd take me on a motorcycle ride. Sigh, a girl can dream. 

6 what's your favorite holiday and why?

 Halloween! I love Halloween. It doesn't seem like it from my writing but I love creepy, spooky, scary stuff. Give me all of it! I love a haunted house. I also love the history of Halloween and what it represents. Also, you get dressed up. Who doesn't want to be pretend to be someone else for a day? 

7 what's your favorite thing about Wattpad?

 The sense of community it brings. It really makes you feel like you have a place where you can grow, learn, express yourself. I haven't encountered one bad person on Wattpad. Everyone is very supportive of the writers on the site. It's really nice. Writing can be a solitary thing and Wattpad makes me feel less alone in it. 

8 what inspired you to write?

 When I was in high school writing wasn't even on my radar, but I took a creative writing elective. While in the class I discovered that I really enjoyed writing. My first real entryway into writing was through fanfiction, believe it or not. I loved this movie Newsies back then and there was plenty of room to play with those characters and develop stories for them. That's what I did. It really helped to develop my craft since I was basing it off characters that were somewhat developed already. 

9 how would you celebrate a publishing deal ?

 If I got a publishing deal I might actually pass out. I might not be able to process it ha.

10 what's your favorite movie?

There are so many that I love, but one of my favorites is Ten Things I Hate About You. It's a retelling of Taming of the Shrew and was made in the 90s. It's so well done, so funny. I recommend it.

11 what's your schedule regarding your writing?

I'm not sure I have a schedule ha! However, I probably should. It would help me get things done. I do try to write every day, but that hasn't been happening recently. I've had a very busy workload at my job. I'm a teacher. However, even if I get a little bit done a day I'm happy.
