I won 1st place for the Teen Fiction/Young Adult category of the Gem-ers Awards

2020!

I had actually stopped using Wattpad for a while due to an instance where I found my

story on a foreign site- so I had not even known that I won until I decided to continue

on Wattpad, a little while later. It was such a nice surprise, and super exciting! I am so

honored to have won 1st place in the competition, especially because of the volume of

books that are always entered in the Teen Fiction/Young Adult category of practically

all contests, and because I was up against other great authors and stories on Wattpad.

1 What's inspired you to write?

I've been in love with creative writing since I was around 4 or 5 years old, so it's just

something that I've done for so long. But, in high school I had this major writer's block, and I was so busy with my classes, so I didn't do much creative writing. Then, when quarantine happened, I had the idea to start on Wattpad, and I got past that writer's block and began writing again- right before I graduated high school!

2 What is your favorite movie?

I've seen so many amazing movies, but I'll just name a couple- Little Women and Star

Wars: The Last Jedi come to mind!

3 What is your favorite holiday and why?

Definitely Halloween, because I love dressing up in costumes and doing fun makeup! Plus I love candy and all things spooky!! And who doesn't love putting up Halloween decorations? Also, Halloween get-togethers are sooo fun. :)

4 Are you still surprised when you get a new vote, follow or comment?

I wouldn't say surprised, but I am definitely always excited!!

5 What is your favorite thing about wattpad?

I love being able to get feedback on my work from so many amazing readers! It

definitely helps. Also, I am more motivated to write more often when I'm on Wattpad,

because I like to update as often as I'm able! In addition, I love getting to meet so

many amazing people!

6 What is your favorite story?

I remember loving the book Lord of the Flies by William Golding, so that's definitely a

favorite. In terms of Wattpad stories, I'm not sure! It's hard to choose.

7 What is the best way to handle a bully?

Don't stoop to their level, and simply don't engage (if possible)! Also, tell people you

trust about the issue so that others are aware (and so that you have an outlet to

release those emotions). And remember your self-worth!! :)

8 What's a song you enjoy? Who is the artist?

Under The Sun by Roosevelt!! So summery, fun, and uplifting!

9 If you could spend the day with your favorite celeb, who would you choose and what would you do?

Either Emma Watson or Daisy Ridley, and I would maybe go shopping and swim at the

pool, or do something else fun. :)

10 How would you enjoy a rainy day?

Definitely sipping on a hot chocolate, coffee, or tea and doing some creative writing! Also spending time with family and friends!

11 Who is your favorite author?

I think Margaret Atwood is brilliant, so perhaps her! There's too many to choose from

though.
