interview #20 @NatorasPen
1 what's one your favorite songs? Who's the artist?
I don't really have a "favorite song." I kind of go with whatever isnew to me and then it slowly blends into my playlist. Right now, it's theHadestown album!
2 how would you celebrate a publishing deal?
I think I would definitely gather my closest family and friends, especially those that have been so supportive of me, andthrow a little party to just hang out and have something to good time over!
3 what inspired you to write?
My writing inspiration comes from a lot of different outlets, but I would definitelysay that my biggest inspiration when I first started writing was my dreams;I've always been a livid and lucid dreamer, and I would use what happened in mydreams to put to paper. Nowadays, however, it's definitely my sister.
4 what's your favorite snack?
My favorite snack is... I think it would probably be beef jerky! The really thinkind that you get as convenience stores.
5 if you could gain advice from your favorite author, who would you choose and what would you ask?
I would love to talk to L.J. Smith! She's been my favorite for a long time, primarily for her Night World series, and I would love to ask her tips on worldbuilding in fantasy environments.
6 how would you spend a day?
I would spend a day hanging out with my cats! They're really great company, especially when I'm writing or doing anything in my room. I'm really kind of a homebody!
7 what's your favorite season?
I honestly have no idea. It really seems to just be whatever season is supposedto be coming up next. Like if it's Fall, I love Winter, and if it's Winter, I love Spring. But not summer. It gets too hot in the summer.
8 what's your favorite holiday and why?
My favorite holiday is Halloween! I like seeing all the kids in their costumes, and one day I liked being able to help my siblings and cousins with theircostumes (when they would let me!).
9 if you could hang out with your favorite celeb for a day, who would you choose and what would you do?
Oh,man. I think I would have to hang out with Dan and Arin from Game Grumps. Idon't know if everyone would qualify them as "celebrities" but I am ahuge fan. They're so goofy and I feel like it would be a great time! I'd reallylove to watch them do one of their 10 Minute Power-Hour videos; I think thatwould be really fun to be a part of.
10 what's your favorite book?
My favorite book currently is "We are The Lucky Ones" by Georgia Hunter.
11 do you have any other creative outlets?
I really love to paint and am trying to get into/practice journaling (not very good at that one). I also really enjoy puzzles, though I'm not sure you couldcount that as "creative"!love
Request time!
As for the request: My most completed work right now is definitely Wolven. I'm really proud of it and how far it's come-- I definitely started writing it when I was feeling a particular sense of writer's block and wasn't invested in working on something serious, but I fell in love with the characters and the plot so much so that I ended up writing all 50 chapters in a month! It's urban fantasy in the Werewolf drama without being too stereotypical in its plot line. If the genre interests you, be sure to check it out!
