Interview #6 @theartofhearts

1 how would you celebrate a publishing deal?

That's a hard one - I would probably celebrate by buying a heap of snacks and treatmyself to online shopping, and as a poor uni student I wouldn't feel so guiltyabout it :)

2 what's your favorite aspect of Wattpad?

I love the fact that authors can connect, give advice, comment feedback and really engage with people's stories.

3 who's your favorite actress/actor?

CarrieFisher... she was such a hilarious, honest, talented woman who was open abouther struggle with mental illness and substance abuse which I connect with sopersonally. I was so upset when she passed away last year xx

4 who's your favorite author outside Wattpad?

DonnaTartt, Philip Pullman, Margaret Atwood and F. Scott Fitzgerald.

5 what's your dream vacation?

A road trip across the states. America is so diverse, and I'd love to visit thecoast and even up over to Canada.

6 what's your favorite holiday and why?

I've been to a lot of places but for some reason I absolutely adored Scotland, specifically Edinburgh. It's such a beautiful country, the accents are awesome and it's so historical and architecturally flawless.

7what's your daily writing routine?

I don't have one unfortunately because I'm doing a bachelor's degree but I'm notone who believes a real writer writes every day.

8 how would you handle a bully?

If I was just someone being mean I'd just ignore them.

9 what's your advice to a newcomer?

I would say people are on wattpad for the fanfics and tropes but if you have apassion for writing, people do gravitate to something that's clearly thoughtout and flows well. A gripping start and cover goes a long way.

10 how would you spend a rainy day?

Inside with the heater on with a cup of coffee ❤️

11 what's your favorite snack?

I'm obsessed with grain waves and strawberry Oreos right now.

Request time!

My story The Dollhouse is the one that readers connect to the most. I love novels with a historical aesthetic, so the book is set in 1960s in a fictional suburban town in Pennsylvania called Haverbrook Hollow. It's very psychologically tense and unnerving, as I love dark genres that remind me of gothic horror stories. It's pretty much about two sisters who move to the town after the death of their mother, moving in with their father, stepmother and creepy stepbrother. It's dramatic, bloody and has a lot of plot twists.
