March 2019 mystery interview

This month's mystery spot has been given to: @KayleeCupcake9453

1 what is one tip you'd give a newcomer?

I know this sounds the cheesiest, but just be yourself. Changing who you are behind a screen for nobody to see will not change who you are as a person in front of everyone. Somebody's going to like you whether it is yourself, or someone you'll never meet in your life. Yourself is the best you that you have, so stick with it.

2 what inspired you to write?

My sister was the biggest inspiration for me. She put so much time and effort into her writing and always got better. She has been my top role model throughout my life, and still amazes me every day.

3 what's your favorite holiday and why?

My favorite holiday has to be Hanukkah. I've never celebrated it myself, but it always blows my mind away when I see people so committed to it. Seeing friends full of joy makes me warm and fuzzy inside and makes me excited for Christmas. Even if we don't share the same beliefs, we can still pass joy through each other in other ways.

4 if you could hang out with your favorite celeb for a day, who would you choose and what would you do?

My favorite celeb has to be Lin Manuel Miranda. I am a fan of his work, but I enjoy how he is genuinely a nice person to everyone he meets. If I could hang out with him for a day, I would ask him to give me a tour of all his favorite places. It would be cool to compare the difference between two very different people and how they live their lives.

5 what's your dream vacation?

Whenever I get asked this, it turns a few heads. Sahara Desert. I live in a very cold place and have lived there all my life. The scenery is all the same, and I've lost all appreciation for the beauty around me. A desert would be a breath of fresh air. Not only would it be hot, but I wouldn't be surrounded by tourists. Even if I hated the trip, I'd come back home more thankful for what I have than before.

6 what's the best way to spend a day?

I love spending days with my family. It's hard to see them all in one place, and it's always very special. I constantly learn new things about the people I've grown up with and share a couple jokes. A treasured moment with all the people I love is a day well spent.

7 what's your daily writing routine?

I try to write daily, even if I don't publish it. I like to write in the evening, when I can take everything that has inspired me throughout the day and pour it into pages of ink and paper. When I'm old and can look back, I'll remember how unique and cherished each day was to me.

8 what's your favorite movie?

The Sound of Music. I've always had a deep connection with music, and not only is the music very wonderful, but the characters change so much throughout the movie. I love to take each character and name things that I love and admire about them. I also look up to Julie Andrews, and the success she's had.

9 what's your favorite thing about Wattpad?

I love how power is at your fingertips. Not only do you have complete control over every little thing a character you make does, but you also have access to communicate with people all around the world. You can abuse this power, or make a change in your life, or even in the lives of others.

10 how would you celebrate a publishing deal?

I don't think I'd celebrate until it was published, and I was satisfied with the result. When I was ready though, I'd celebrate firstly with my readers, then with my family and friends. My readers would be the reason it was successful in the first place, and it would be a way to thank them for being a huge part of my life.

11 how would you handle a bully?

I don't want to say I've been bullied, because it wasn't nearly as bad as others go through every day. But, I was teased by some pretty mean people. Even though I felt pretty worthless at the time, I slowly ignored and removed myself from the situation. Those mean people were my friends at the time. It's hard to imagine, even now that people I had trust in ruined me. When I finally found newer, better friends for me, I went through self-love, which was necessary at the time.

Request time!

Someone should consider reading my book, Reasons Why I Love Myself. Making the story was part of the process of finding and accepting love from myself and others, and I hope it can help someone else find self-worth.
