interview #13 @SardonyxSwann
1 if you could gain advice from your favorite author, who would you choose and what would you ask?
If I could gain advice from my favorite author, I'd choose Stephanie Garber and I'd ask for help on how to make my story more detailed and interesting.
2 if you could hang out with your favorite celeb for a day, who would you choose and what would you do?
If I could hang out with my favorite celebrity for a day, I'd hang out with any one of the Kardashians to see their true personalities haha
3 what's your favorite holiday and why?
My favorite holiday is Halloween. You get to dress up, go out with your friends, go to absolutely fabulous parties, get candy for free, and more!
4 what's the best way to handle a bully?
The best way to handle a bully is not to provoke them or talk back to them. If a situation with them gets out of hand, go to an adult you can trust for help.
5 how would you enjoy a rainy day?
I'd enjoy a rainy day by getting super cozy in my bed with a cup of steaming-hot chamomile/green tea or hot cocoa, and my laptop to write :)
6 what's your schedule regarding your writing?
My schedule regarding my writing is pretty hectic. School's just started up for me, and I'm not exactly sure how that will turn out. But I'm writing whenever I can.
7 what's a good piece of advice for a newcomer?
A good piece of advice for a newcomer is to not give up. There will be times when writing is hard, and LET ME TELL YOU I've experienced that all too well. There will be times you want to give up and just feel like you can't write anymore, I can promise you that. But you can write more. Give it a day or two even. Or ask for help from friends or mentors. You will get over those rough spots with persistence and positivity.
8 what's your favorite thing about Wattpad?
My favorite thing about Wattpad is probably the community. You can write stories on here for free, and they don't have to be finished. This community also helps me stay motivated to continue writing because I have people reading my story and liking it and that is probably the best feeling an author (or aspiring one) could ever ask for.
9 what's your favorite movie?
My favorite movie is on Netflix called Before I wake. It's a horror movie, and a PG-13 one too, and it's SO scary but it has a beautiful ending.
10 how would you celebrate a publishing deal?
I'd celebrate a publishing deal by calling up my friends and family and having a huge party (of course I can't do that rn bc of COVID-19).
11 what's your favorite story?
My favorite story (or more like story collection) is Caraval by Stephanie Garber. It is like, SO good, and it's about carnivals and tarot cards (in the next two books) if you're interested.
Request time
So I currently have one ongoing book called Demented [A Gothic Fairytale]. It's as the title says; a Gothic Fairytale, but it's so much more than that. The main character, Ebony, is a newly-exiled Princess of Absinthe (the land she was princess of) and she's not exactly sure why. Then, all of a sudden, the Great Goddess of the five realms steals her away and assigns her a truly impossible task: To find her stolen heart, hidden away in one of the realms. Along the way she is forced to team up with the cruel Prince of Death, her only option to find the heart. But as the adventure unfolds not only does she meet magic, mystery, and heartbreak, but she also discovers herself and who she is destined to become.
This is a story that's been in my head for over a year, with many, MANY changes and different ideas. I'm still debating over how to do certain scenes and how I want to present the story.
But when I come out with the final product I can promise you will not be disappointed.
Can't wait to see you there!
