series promotion: Demonic Series @KrazySkittz
1.) What is the title of your series?
"Demonic Series"
2.) What inspired the idea of your series?
It was a variety of things, such as the music I listen to, anime shows that I watch, and mainly just my imagination of being creative. Though I never planned on it being a fantasy, it was a whole new experience and challenge for me to write, but I truly enjoyed it.
3.) How many books are in your series?
There are currently three.
4.) Is it the only series on your profile?
Yes, I haven't written any other series, I'm not sure if I plan to either. But you never know what the future holds...
5.) What do you desire readers to take away from your series?
The last thing I want anyone to feel is to be uncomfortable, my work is complete fiction and should only be read for enjoyment and nothing more. I just want my reader to not feel judged on the things that they like, and sometimes my work could be their escape from reality. So when anyone reads this series, I just hope they have an open mind.
6.) is your series complete or ongoing?
The series is currently ongoing on Wattpad, though it's complete on Amazon. Anyone could read it for free with Kindle Unlimited.
7.) What are your plans for your series?
As of now, it's come to an end. Though things in a story could always change, all I could do is wait and see if I want this series to continue or not.
8.) What would be a good piece of advice for someone who desires to begin to write a series?
I'm about to sound hypocritical when I say this, but if one plans to write a series. I highly suggest they practice first in writing short novels to get the hang of it first. Learn how to plan the whole story where it will make sense because it can get confusing. I don't recommend starting off in writing a series first as I did, it was a huge setback on my part since I had no idea what I was doing when I first began to write. It took me three years to finish the series, it was very stressful, and there were times when I wanted to quit. So again, if a writer is certain about creating a series, make sure you are prepared.
9.) Do you prefer writing a series over a standalone novel?
To be honest, I never planned on creating a series. It was actually supposed to be a stand-alone novel in itself. Never planned on it being a trilogy, although I did enjoy writing the series. A stand-alone novel is just as good since they aren't as long as a series would.
10.) Who is your main character? Are there any similarities between you and your main character?
My main female character has the complete opposite personality that I would be, the only thing we have in common is having the same name.
11.) What does your character go through in the series?
There's a lot of emotional trauma and heartbreak that she will never be able to recover from or forget, I never wish to go through what she has gone through. I would have gone insane, but it's all about the limits of what your mind can handle before you break. Not knowing what is right and what is wrong? The moral of the story is that to grow, one must face the challenge to understand. And her story will help her become more mature, but it's not always a happy ending...
12.) What does having readers for any of your stories mean to you?
I gain a lot of motivation, the last thing I want is to disappoint my readers. It's not that I want to give them perfection, but more so that I want them to just be excited when they ready my work. Whether they cry, smile, or have a temper tantrum...it's the emotions that I created through the words of my story when the read. And that alone is enough to make me feel satisfied...and happy.
1.) What type of stories do you like to read?
I love reading a wide variety of genres, thriller, sci-fi, romance, non-fictional, fantasy, etc.
2.) What type of music do you like to listen to?
My taste in music is constantly shifting, one day I'm hearing rock, the other day I'm listing to techno. But lately, I've been hearing a lot more melodies that are calming, it help's me write.
3.) What is one of your favorite stories that you've read on Wattpad?
I don't have a favorite book on Wattpad, though there is a story that I first read on Wattpad that I did enjoy reading long ago. I believe I was 19 when I first read it, so it's been a few years. But it was called "The Vampires Pet". Though would I read it again, most likely not since the writer has gone hiatus on the story, unfortunately. It's been several years since they last updated the series, but it's completely understandable. Us writers do have a life out of Wattpad so it's unavoidable.
4.) What do you believe is better for a story? {Quality or Quantity}
A longer story doesn't always make it amazing, but a short novel doesn't always mean it's complete. I think it's important to have the two's balance; don't drag the story so long where it starts to get boring. But also don't make it short where you have to rush it so quickly. Be consistent with both parts, know when it's about time to end the book where it matters most.
5.) Are you more likely to check out an ongoing or completed story?
I would always prefer reading a story that is complete since ongoing stories tend to go on hiatus a lot. That's unless if the author gives time schedules of when they update their stories, if that's the case then I would most likely read the book whether it's complete or ongoing.
