Only one more chapter until this book's finished! I actually can't wait to start writing for 11 (he may or may not be may favrouite).

Poppy runs forward but the shield throws her back into the other side of the shield. It sends an electrical current through her and she passes out

"Poppy!" The Doctor and New Doctor shout, along with Martha. "Destroy the weapon," Davros commands and a Dalek obeys "I was wrong about your warriors, Doctor. They are pathetic,"

"How comes there are two of you?" Rose asks

"Human biological meta crisis. Never mind that. Now we've got no way of stopping the Reality Bomb,"

"Stand witness, Time Lord. Stand witness, humans. Your strategies have failed, your weapons are useless, and. Oh. The end of the universe has come,"

The Supreme Dalek starts counting down but suddenly an alarm sound. Poppy opens her eyes and smiles when he sees Donna alive.

"Mmm, closing all Z-neutrino relay loops using an internalised synchronous back-feed reversal loop. That button there," Donna appears by the panel she was thrown about. A sudden giddiness about her

"Donna, you can't even change a plug,"

"It took you a whole day to fix the lightbulb when I was busy. And it broke in ten seconds,"

"Do you want to bet, Time Boy, History Girl?"

"You'll suffer for this," Davros tries to threaten but Donna just lifts a lever and his electrical zap goes to him instead

"Oh, bio-electric dampening field with a retrograde field arc inversion,"

"Exterminate her!"

"Exterminate. Exterminate. Exterminate," Donna presses more buttons "Weapons non-functional,"

"Macro transmission of a K-filter wavelength blocking Dalek weaponry in a self-replicating energy blindfold matrix,"

"How did you work that out? You're..."

"Time Lord. Part Time Lord," The New Doctor explains

"Part human. Oh, yes. That was a two-way biological met crisis. Half Doctor, half Donna,"

"The Doctor Donna. Just like the Ood said, remember? They saw it coming. The Doctor Donna,"

"Kind of wish I'd been on that trip now," Poppy mutters.

"Holding cells deactivated. And seal the Vault. Well, don't just stand there, you skinny boys in suits. Get to work," Poppy stands up and runs forward, hugging Donna tightly

"Oh God I thought you were dead!"

"oh, I don't go down that easily!" Donna squeezes Poppy before turning back to the console "right, to work boys!"

"Stop them! Get them away from the controls," Donna pulls a lever and presses a button "And spin," The Daleks then start spinning around. Everyone smiles and laughs in relief

"And the other way," Poppy says before doing the same on the other side

"How did you do that?" The Doctor asks Poppy as The New Doctor asks Donna what she did. Poppy shrugs

"Trip switch circuit-breaker in the psychokinetic threshold manipulator,"

"But that's brilliant!"

"Why did we never think of that?"

"Because you two were just Time Lords, you dumb, lacking that little bit of human. That gut instinct that comes hand in hand with Planet Earth. I can think of ideas you two couldn't dream of in a million years. Ah, the universe has been waiting for me. Now, let's send that trip switch all over the ship. Did I ever tell you, best temp in Chiswick? Hundred words per minute," she wiggles her fingers and Poppy laughs

Jack runs past them into the TARDIS

"Come on then, boys. And girl since you know what you're doing," Donna winks at Poppy "We've got twenty-seven planets to send home. Activate magnetron,"

Jack then comes out of the TARDIS with the huge guns which kill the Daleks. Him and Mickey arm themselves and the other companions push the Daleks around

"Off you go, Clom," The Doctor exclaims whilst the four of them rapidly pull, push and type away.

"Back home, Adipose Three,"

"Shallacatop," Donna starts

"Pyrovillia!" Poppy makes a harsh pull on the lever

"and the Lost Moon of Poosh. Sorted. Ha!"

"Ha!" The New Doctor repeats

"We need more power!"

"That we do!" Poppy shouts up from nearly, under the panel

"Is anyone going to tell us what's going on?" Rose asks impatiently, slightly jealous of Poppy and The Doctor working in the same area and grazing hands occasionally.

"He poured all his regeneration energy into his spare hand. I touched the hand, and he grew out of that but that fed back into me. But it just stayed dormant in my head till the synapses got that little extra spark, kicking them into life. Thank you, Davros! Part human, part Time Lord. And I got the best bit of the Doctor. I got his mind," Donna explains

"So, there's three of you?"

"Three Doctors?"

"I can't tell you what I'm thinking right now,"

"I can," Poppy mutters and the two make eye contact before pissing themselves laughing at the shared thought

"You're so unique the timelines were converging on you. Human being with a Time Lord brain," The Doctor explains the timeline problem

"What about Poppy? "Martha asks "how come she's suddenly really smart. Not that she wasn't bloody brilliant before,"

"Dunno. The cell hold thing gave me a small electrocution and it's woken up some memories. Not personal ones. But smart ones," She shrugs

"But you promised me, Dalek Caan. Why did you not foresee this?" Davros asks Caan

"Oh, I think he did. Something's been manipulating the timelines for ages, getting Donna Noble to the right place at the right time," The Doctor guesses

"This would always have happened. I only helped, Doctor,"

"You betrayed the Daleks," Davros says with spite

"I saw the Daleks. What we have done, throughout time and space, I saw the truth of us, Creator, and I decreed, no more!"

"Heads up!" Jack shouts and they look to see the Supreme Dalek lowering himself down into the vault.

"Davros, you have betrayed us,"

"It was Dalek Caan," Davros defends

"The Vault will be purged. You will all be exterminated," He zaps the control panel

"Like I was saying, feel this!" Jack fires an extended pulse from his gun and the Supreme Dalek explodes.

"Oh, we've lost the magnetron. And there's only one planet left," The Doctor tells them in panic and Poppy kneels down to see "Oh, guess which one," They look to each other in exasperation

"Why's it always us?"

"Don't know sweetheart, but we can use the TARDIS!" The Doctor runs into it and Rose mocks him in jealously

"Sweetheart?"

The Doctor runs into the Tardis.

"Holding Earth stability. Maintaining atmospheric shell," The New Doctor says

"The prophecy must complete," Caan taunts

"Don't listen to him,"

"I have seen the end of everything Dalek, and you must make it happen, Doctor,"

"He's right. Because with or without a Reality bomb, this Dalek Empire's big enough to slaughter the cosmos. They've got to be stopped,"

"Just, just wait for the Doctor," Donna says

"I am the Doctor,"

"no, you're not," Poppy mutters and The New Doctor feels a tang of pain

"Maximising Alkanium power feeds. Blasting them back!"

Daleks start exploding all over the Crucible and all over the Medusa Cascade. The Doctor runs out of the Tardis.

"What have you done?!"

"Fulfilling the prophecy,"

"Do you know what you've done? Now get in the TARDIS! Everyone! All of you, inside! Run!"

The New Doctor pulls everyone in

"Sarah Jane! Rose! Jackie! Jack! Poppy! Mickey!"

"And off we go," The Doctor runs in and starts pressing buttons and pulling levers, Donna and Poppy either side of him.

"But what about the Earth? It's stuck in the wrong part of space," Sarah Jane reminds him

"I'm on it. Torchwood Hub, this is the Doctor. Are you receiving me?"

"Loud and clear," Gwen appears "Is Jack there?"

"Can't get rid of him. Jack, what's her name?"

"Gwen Cooper,"

"Couldn't you ask hr that yourself?" Poppy asks and Gwen thanks her

"Tell me, Gwen Cooper, are you from an old Cardiff family?"

"Yes, all the way back to the eighteen hundred,"

"Ah, thought so. Spatial genetic multiplicity," him and Rose smile at each other. "Yeah, it's a funny old world. Now, Torchwood, I want you to open up that Rift Manipulator. Send all the power to me,"

"Doing it now, sir," Ianto appears

"What's that for?"

"It's a tow rope. Now then. Sarah, what was your son's name?"

"Luke. He's called Luke. And the computer's called Mister Smith,"

"Calling Luke and Mister Smith. This is the Doctor. Come on, Luke. Shake a leg,"

"Is Mum there?" Luke comes up to the screen

"Oh, she's fine and dandy! Now, Mister Smith, I want you to harness the Rift power and loop it around the Tardis. You got that?"

"I regret I will need remote access to Tardis base code numerals,"

"Oh, blimey, that's going to take a while,"

Sarah runs around to the scanner "K9, out you come!" He appears by Luke

"Affirmative, Mistress,"

"Oh, good dog!

"A robotic dog!" Poppy exclaims "that's so cool! Oh my God! Brilliant!" Sarah and The Doctor smile at her.

" K9, give Mister Smith the base code,"

"Master. TARDIS base code now being transferred. The process is simple,"

"Now then, you lot. Sarah, hold that down. Mickey, you hold that," He instructs everyone

"Because you know why this TARDIS is always rattling about the place?" He comes back over to where he started

"Rose? That, there. It's designed to have six pilots, and I have to do it single handed. Martha, keep that level,"

"But not anymore. Jack, there you go. Steady that. Now we can fly this thing," he then gets to Jackie "No, Jackie. No, no. Not you. Don't touch anything. Just stand back," He was mad - not insane

"Like it's meant to be flown. We've got the Torchwood Rift looped around the Tardis by Mister Smith, and we're going to fly Planet Earth back home. Poppy," he starts to instruct her

"Hold this down whilst pulling this up," she says before doing it

"Exactly! Right then. Off we go,"

They fly the Earth back and Donna walks around supervising, considering she knew exactly how to fly it now "That's really good, Jack. I think you're the best,"

They drop It off by the moon and the room erupts in cheers. Poppy and Rose actually happen to be the first to hug, Poppy then moving onto The Doctor, Then Donna, then Martha and even Jack and Sarah-Jane.

Four of the ex-companions have already left and The Doctor goes to go back inside but Poppy steps out. She had her glasses on now.

"Hi," she says shyly

"Hi,"

"Um, not really sure how I'm gonna say this,"

"I can take a guess,"

"She can't keep all that knowledge in her mind, right?" The Doctor nods slightly "what are you going to have to do?"

"Memory wipe," The Doctor chokes out "she won't remember anything we've done. And if you tell her ; her mind will overheat,"

"Right," Poppy wipes some tears "she won't know who you are?"

"No," The Doctor looks to her sadly "what ae you going to do now?"

"Well, you know. Bits and Bobs. I asked Martha to wait for me.," They look down the street where Martha, Jack and Mickey were sat on a bench "Might be nosey in UNIT for a bit, might help Torchwood, might continue being a teacher. Who knows,"

"Well, I have a passing gift then," Poppy raises an eyebrow and The Doctor pulls out a TARDIS key and physic paper "thought you could use these finally," Poppy smiles happily and puts them in her coat pocket with her secret screwdriver and her diary.

"Thank you,"

The Doctor stares at her for a bit "I don't know if I'll see you again," he confesses

"Well, River said we will so, chin up," Poppy smiles

"Speaking of other things River said," The Doctor leans down and kisses her gently on the lips. Poppy's eyes widen but she wraps her arms around his neck and deepens the kiss.

"Well, that's new," down on the bench, Martha and Jack stare at them in shock

"Good luck," Poppy mutters before kissing the Doctor on the cheek and walking down to Martha, Jack and Mickey. "What?" she asks when they stare at her.

"All right. Both of you, answer me this. When I last stood on this beach, on the worst day of my life, what was the last thing you said to me? Go on, say it," Rose, her mother, The New Doctor, The Doctor and Donna stand at Bad Wolf Bay.

"I said, Rose Tyler," The Doctor tells her bluntly. He was still slightly hyper from his kiss with Poppy but didn't want to show it.

"Yeah, and how was that sentence going to end?"

"Does it need saying?"

"And you, Doctor? What was the end of that sentence?" She turns to the new Doctor

Him and The Doctor look at each other. The New Doctor was early enough to still love Rose like a friend, but late enough to know about his possible feelings for Poppy. He could learn to love Rose like that again.

The New Doctor whispers something in Rose's ear, and she kisses him. The Doctor and Donna take the opportunity to get into the TARDIS. It dematerialises.

The Doctor still wouldn't let himself cry about Poppy leaving until he was floating through space, alone again. Him and the TARDIS. But even the TARDIS missed Poppy, her room was left untouched. The Doctor didn't even see the note inside by her green Converse.

The Doctor loved Poppy, she loved him. But she was human and it would never work.

The next time he'd see her. He would get his reward.
