Y/n: OW THAT HURT!

Herta: I don't care.

Asta: Should we-

Himeko: It's their usual way of greeting each others

Right now, Herta was lecturing Y/n by using the other dolls to pinch him all over his body

Y/n: WHY DO YOU DO THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE?!

Herta: You acted recklessly, fought the Doomsday beast and your own and got hurt. You're supposed to be the assistant director here

Y/n grins a cheeky smile

Y/n: So you do care, i'm touch let me hug you for it.

Her eyes twitched, as she started to pinch him all over again

Y/n: OW! HEY!

Asta: I still don't know how he can handle this much without saying anything.....

Herta: I dare you to do that!

Y/n: You asked for it!

Y/n then launched toward Herta in order to hug her. But unnoticed by Y/n right when he launched at her, Herta is holding her hammer wait for the right moment. Then...

Y/n: OUCH!!!

Y/n got slammed toward to the other side of the room.

Herta: Hmp, idiot.

Himeko keep watching the scene, drinking from her cup while Asta is hiding behind Himeko.

Asta: S-she is really scary... I still don't know how he can handle this much without saying anything.....

Herta: Bring me the little twerp here, Asta.

Asta: YES!

After a minute, Asta back with Caelus next to her.

Caelus: You want to see me?

Herta: Ah, little twerp

Caelus: My name is Caelus.

Herta: Alright, Caelus. I got it. But I'm still gonna call you little twerp. The space in my brain is too valuable to store people's names

Himeko: What about Y/n?

Y/n: SO YOU DO CARE ABOUT ME!

He hugged her, lifting her up

Herta: How are you still alive?! Let me go! Or do you want another wave of lecture?

Y/n: I want to apologize.

Herta nodded, as Himeko giggled.

Himeko: They have quite the interaction, don't you think?

She looked at Caelus, and saw him smile awkwardly.

Caelus: I guess so.

Y/n: Well, can i go now Herta? Can i?

I look at her with puppy eyes, hope she will forgive me.

Herta: Go, I don't care about what you're doing anyway. You caused me a lot troubles now.

Y/n: Jeez, no need to be that cold. I'll ne going now, if you need anything, you can call me.

She doesn't response.

Himeko: You were a bit harsh there Herta

Herta: That idiot prefer to stay with a complete stranger than work like I asked him.

Himeko: Y/n have been overworking himself, he did everything he could just to see your smile Herta.

Herta:...

Himeko: You're be most important person to him. That's why he won't mind doing something reckless to protect this Space Station as well as you. And i know you also care for him.

Herta: ...Say whatever you want.

This doll walked back to her office, as Himeko smiled.

Himeko: You better thank me later Y/n.

Herta was in her office, walking back and forth.

Herta: Was I really too harsh on him? He did something reckless but he kept the station safe, and so, my research too. Should I apologize?

Herta: Y/n...

She took the decision, as another of her doll searched for Y/n.

Herta: Where did that idiot go?

She heard commotion, and mostly, Y/N's voice

Y/n: This will be the last time okay everyone!

When she came in...... She saw Y/n doing dance move on a table, while Caelus was cheering. Some childs were cheering, even adults, as he danced. Soon enough, the robots joined him in the dance, getting more and more cheers.

Y/n: Please keep this as a secret okay everyone? Don't let Herta know about it, she still has a lot of works to do, so i don't want waste her time on me.

Y/n: And this present. I want to give her for taking care of me, if wasn't for her then i wouldn't be here. Please keep this as a secret okay?

Herta didn't said anything, as she walked away

Herta: Nevermind, I'm going to lecture him again after that.

Arlan: Hmm? Director Herta, is there any reason for you to smile like that

Herta: Nothing, I'm just in a good mood.

She walked away to her research, giggling to herself

Y/n: Alright, don't worry Y/n, the worst that will happen is she ignoring you....

Taking a deep breath, I walked to Herta's office, opening the doors.

Herta: Y/n, what do you need?

Y/n: I wanted to talk with you.

Herta: You have work to do so make it quick.

Y/n: I'm going to leave with the Express.

I looked down, and nodded, before walking out of the office.

It even worse than i thought, but i haven't seen her angry like that, does she really hates the idea that much? This is suck, how can i give her this gift.

I snapped out of my thought when i saw Dan Heng in front of me.

Dan Heng: So?

Y/N: I never saw her yell like that. She was beyond furious, i wonder...

Dan Heng: Are you truly sure you want to go with us? Isn't it safer to stay here in the station?

Y/n: It is, but I've been working for Herta ever since she found me. I can't stay here for the rest of my life.

Dan Heng: I can understand that, and we'll support your choice Y/n. But i think you don't understand.

Y/n: Understand? Understand what?

Dan Heng: Our choice sometimes might hurt people care about us. Are you willing to follow the path you choose and hurt people you care?

Y/n: ...

Dan Heng: Think about it okay? We still have two day before we move, take your time.

Dan Heng then left.

Y/n: He's right...the idea of go with the Express just popped up on my head in a heat moment, i need to think about it.

Y/n: And where is the best place to think about it? My room! Let head back to my room.

Now i'm back my room, laying on the bed.

Suddenly in the dark void appeared a horrible scene that i wish i could forget. Dan Heng, March, Himeko, Welt...They died in such horrifying ways. Then i saw myself kneeling before them.

Y/n: W-w-what?!

Dream Y/n: Please save them! For me! For the Express! And for her!

Y/n: Who is her?

Dream: F-firefly...

Y/n: Who?

Right when i asked about her everything disappear, myself, and the Express. Only darkness remains.

Y/n: Okay...i'm hallucinating, i will be wake up any second now.

Y/n: Any seconds, i just need to close me eyes and open again everything will be gone.

And that's exactly what i did, then i slowly open my eyes i saw reality...

Today is the day, i have to make my decision. And i won't regret it.

Well over the past 2 days, i can't say it went well...Herta doesn't speak to me at all, she wasn't ask me to do anything, not even a single text. Gonna lie, i kinda miss those moment where she will scold me for doing wrong.

Y/n: I'll miss you Herta.

I went back with the group

March: You're back! How did it went?

Y/n: Horrible, she didn't even talk to me over the past two days.

March: That's something serious, i haven't seen her like that be for. You're dead Y/n, i'll pray for you everyday when you gone.

Y/n: Hey! I'm still here March!!

Caelus: We can put you in a suit case and take you with us.

Y/n: I don't want to break my back.

Caelus: A big one will do.

Dan Heng: Have you made up your decision?

Y/n: I will convince her, but if she truly refuse to talk, I will go on my own.

Dan Heng: Good luck, you will need it.

I understand know Herta, the reason you called me a kid.

They walked away, as I felt someone stare holes at me, and see a doll of Herta, staring at me.

Y/n: I won't change my mind, no matter how harsh you yell.

She stopped. And turned back to look at me.

Herta: You're still a kid Y/n.

I let out a sigh, before shaking my head too, and gain a determined look.

Y/n: I'm not anymore, over the past two day i have thinking my decision. And i can say that i want to go with them, i want to explore the galaxy, the universe, experience new things, even finding my true self. I'm  can take care myself and look i'm not a lone anymore. I have my friends here, and i want to take care them too. They really precious to me and so do you Herta.

Y/n: Herta, i love you as a family, i want to protect you too, but sometime you have to let me go. If the mother bird doesn't let her kids learn to fly by themselves then how could they can fly high and freedom in the blue sky.

Y/n: Please understand me Herta.

Flashback:

Herta: A kid here?

Scientist: Yes, he wish to meet you, for some odd reasons

A child walked inside the room, confident, with a huge smirk on his face.

Y/N: Hi! My name is Y/n L/n, and I'm here to get the job as the assistant director! And to make everyone in this place smile!

Herta: Take him away.

Y/n: Eh?! Hey! At least can you be more considerate?

Herta: What can you even do kid?

Y/n: Anything!

Herta: Anything you say?

Y/n: Yes!

Herta: Then you better be working to prove that you're not a worthless kid.

Y/n: Count on me.

From that day on, the kid name Y/n was doing his best for the Station, making everyone smile, and her smile. Well none of his work could make she smiles, let me phrasing it again "NONE".  Despite his hard work, she always kept a straight face no budge by anything.

Well, that doesn't stop him from trying again and even harder than before. But it still doesn't anything, execpt the atmosphere on the station. Everyone seems to be more.. lively.

And so, for the rest of the day, Y/n tried to impress Herta with magic tricks, stories, or some talents, but no can do, since she is a doll, she won't be impressed over such trivial things?

Herta: You're done wasting everyone's time? Go back to study, you're not worth my time.

Y/n: J-Just one last!

He took a sort of orb, and some metal he was carrying in his bag, as he started to focus on it, pointing it's palm at it

Y/n: This one will surely impress you!

Herta: I told you to leave the offi-

She stopped talking, when she saw the orb moving a bit, but mostly, the look on his face.

Y/n was giving such a determined look, as he was focused at 100% on his actions.

Herta's eyes widened a bit, when she saw the orb and metal reacted, as soon, they merged to create a water orb, used on fire mostly.

Y/n: I-I did it......my first try...

He was shaking, before he started to jump around, cheering.

Y/n: I DID IT! I DID IT ON MY OWN WITHOUT THe HELP OF ANYONE!

While jumping around, he stopped in front of Herta, smirking.

Y/n: So, impressed huh?

Herta: That's the basis of a scientist job.

Y/n: EH?! I was trying my best...

He looked down, saddened, before a hand was placed on his head, rubbing his hair.

Herta: But you show great potential, and can become great. So, you better be ready.

Looking at her, he saw she was smiling

Herta: Assistant Director

His eyes widened, as tears appeard in his eyes, before he nodded, happily.

Y/n: Wait did i just see your smile?

Herta: Stop saying nonsense, go back to work.

Y/n: Yes miss Herta!

Herta: I never thought I would see an even more determined look on your face since that day.

Y/n: Hm?

Herta: Come here.

I blinked, confused, but i have no complained, and got near her.

The next action, was something i never thought would happen.

She embraced me in her arms, hugging me gently.

Everyone was at shock at this, as she whispered something to me.

Herta: Have anice trip Y/n.

Y/n: Eh?

My eyes widened even more, as tears threatened to fall from my eyes.

She then let go of me, and nodded.

Herta: Fly high and conquer the stars, Y/n.

Y/n: You bet! Oh before i go, i have a gift for you.

Herta: Oh~

I then gave her the gift that i've been working on.

Herta: This is..

Yep it's her figure but a smol version

Y/n: I hope you like it Herta.

Herta: I love it. Thank you Y/n.

I totally being caught off by her word. I felt relief.

Herta: Well this is where we goodbye.

Y/n: I'll miss you.

Herta: I'll miss you too, my idiot Assistant Director

And that's our last word as The Express was finally going off, as Herta stood there, watching it go away.

Y/n: Please watch me Herta, my journey is finally begins.
