{DINOSAURS ON A SPACESHIP - 2}
Comments and votes mean the world!
The group finds a small sort of alcove area and hides in there, peeking out to watch the dinosaurs as Riddell gets out a knife.
"I could take one of them. Short blow up into the throat..."
"Or not," Willow takes the knife off him
"We've just found dinosaurs in space. We need to preserve them," The Doctor explains
"Who's going to preserve us?" Amy shushes Riddell, seeing that the dinosaurs are moving away.
"Okay, so, how and whose ship?" Rory asks slowly as the group moves out of the alcove, and into the open area again.
"Well, there's so much to discover. Think how wise we'll be by the end of all this!"
"Sorry, sorry. Are you saying dinosaurs are flying a spaceship?" Brian asks, very confused
"Brian, please, that would be ridiculous. They're probably just passengers,"
"Did we mention missiles?" Willow joins the three men.
"Missiles?"
"Didn't want to worry you. Anyway, six hours is a lifetime!" Willow tries to cheer him up
"Not literally a lifetime. That's what we're trying to avoid," The Doctor laughs "And we're all really clever!" he looks around the room and spots something "Ooo, let's see what we can find out." He walks over to a black monitor and Brian and Rory follow, Willow walking over to where Amy is examining the walls, where there's several scratches.
"How many dinosaurs do you think are on here?" Amy mutters
"More than a few," Willow answers, also running her fingers over a scratch, they both hear The Doctor rambling, until suddenly it stops.
"What happened?" Nefertiti asks, pointing to where The Doctor should be with Brian and Rory. Willow and Amy turn to look at where she was pointing.
"Oh, great," both mutter, with the same lack of enthusiasm.

Nefertiti leads the way, Willow closest to her as Amy tries her best not to strangle Riddell who insisted earlier, he should head as he's the man.
"There's clearly more than just two of these creatures," Riddle takes a drink from his hip flask.
"Hey, put that away. I need you sober!" Amy demands
"It's medicinal. And I don't take orders from females!"
"Then learn," Nefertiti demands "Any man who speaks to me that way, I execute,"
"You're very welcome to try," Riddell laughs and Willow raises an eyebrow
"Need I remind you of the incident a few months ago?" Riddell pales "then keep quiet,"
"Sorry, what was your name again?" Amy asks Nefertiti
"Lady of the Two Lands, wife of the great King Amenhotep, Queen Nefertiti of Egypt," she says proudly
"I'll be damned..."
"Oh, my god. Queen Nefertiti? I learned all about you at school. You're awesome. Big fan. High five!" Amy rambles and Nefertiti looks at her raised hand like she's gone mad "Yeah, bit behind on that. You're really famous!"
"Shush. Listen!" for once, they listen to Riddell as they can hear that something is breathing heavily nearby. Riddell lowers his touch and they see that they're all standing by a six-foot-long carnivore lying on its side, with eggs nearby.
"Okay... At a guess, T-Rex," Amy starts
"Not yet full size yet though..." Willow adds
"I'd say that we're in the middle of a dinosaur nest,"
"Yep," Willow nods
"I propose a retreat," Riddell turns back where there's an ominous shadow on the wall "Perhaps forwards?"
"Agreed. Just don't wake the baby," Riddell steps over it, but steps on something crunchy, they all think the dinosaur will awake, but it doesn't, even when Riddell almost falls on top of it and laughs.
"Oh, my god. Who are you, anyway?" Amy continues to follow Willow and Nefertiti
"John Riddell, big game hunter on the African plains. I'm sure you've heard of me, too,"
"No,"
"You clearly have some alarming gaps in your education," Riddell is shocked
"Or men who hunt defenceless creatures just don't impact on history. Face it, she's way cooler than you," Amy smiles
"And you, Amy. Are you also a Queen?"
"Yes. Yes, I am," Amy answers quickly and Willow holds back a laugh
"Really?"
"Yes, now be quiet," Amy shushes her daughter who keeps laughing.

The group of four is still walking, they enter a room with glassware and various stuff underneath ivy and cobwebs.
"Bit of weed killer wouldn't go amiss in here," Amy mutters
"Whoever was running this vessel left in a hurry," Riddell notes, looking around the room properly with a torch.
"Maybe a plague came and took them," Nefertiti suggests
"No, there'd be corpses and bones,"
"Unless the animals ate them,"
"Whoa, Chuckle Brothers. Lighten up, would you?" Amy laughs slightly before her and Willow go up to a computer. Amy presses a few buttons and the lights turn on.
"How'd you know how to do that?"
"Well, I've spent enough time with the Doctor to know whenever you enter somewhere new, press buttons," Amy acts like it's obvious - which it is to her and Willow.
"What else have you learned from him?"
"Never stop at button pressing," Willow explains whilst Amy finds a circular disc and inserts it into the computer.
"One hundred and seventeen years..." A voice starts and Amy smiles
"Data records!"
"The ship's owners?" Riddell asks
"Could be..." Amy mutters, tapping some other buttons "Come on. Help us out..." The screen is still blurry.
Riddell turns around to inspect the area where he sees a Tyrannosaurus Rex shadow on the corridor wall behind them, then it leaves.
"How about a picture, huh? Come on, for me..." Amy keeps talking to the screen and Willow takes her sonic out, aiming it at the screen and the picture quickly becomes clear.
"Couldn't you have done that 2 minutes ago?"
"Hm...no," Willow shakes her head smiling as Amy rolls her eyes, looking back at the screen and is shocked by what she sees.
"Look. Oh, it's beautiful..." Nefertiti mutters
"I can't tell how far we have come. Far enough to avoid the destructive impact forecast for our planet. Far enough for me to feel a profound sense of loss..." The man on screen speaks and Willow gets a closer look at the screen, her own eyes widening.
"What is that?" Riddell asks Willow
"A Silurian...".
"Of the fifty species loaded, only one has had any difficulty surviving. All the others are thriving, and we expect them to be able to repopulate," the Silurian on screen is talking about the dinosaurs.
"We're on an Ark. A Silurian Ark," Amy realises
"Lizard people herding dinosaurs onto a Space Ark? Absolute tommyrot!"
"Only an idiot denies the evidence of their own eyes," Nefertiti gestures to the screen.
"Egyptian Queen or not, I shall put you across my knee and spank you!"
"Oh lord," Amy's eyes widen
"Ew." Willow covers her face with her hands.
"Try, and I'll snap your neck in a heartbeat,"
"They certainly bred firecrackers in your time..."
"Oh, no, no, please don't start flirting. I will not have flirting companions," Amy demands and Willow laughs.
"You're starting to sound like The Doctor," Willow jokes
"So are you," Amy says seriously, looking at Willow and the mood has suddenly changed
"Yeah...Not sure if out's turning out to be a good thing or not,"
Nefertiti and Riddell are still arguing behind them "If the Doctor trusts Amy, so do I. Stop doubting her!"
"If this ship was built by..."
"Silurian's, yeah," Amy nods, growing more annoyed by Riddell every minute.
"Where are they?"
"That's a surprisingly good question... Display life signs for Homo Reptilia," Amy says to the computer and a message saying 'No Life Signs Detected' pops up.
"But where have they gone?" Willow asks herself
"Perhaps they found another world, left the ship," Nefertiti suggests
"Why are the dinosaurs still on board, and why is the ship coming back to Earth?" Amy stares at the computer confused "It doesn't make sense. What's changed between then and now?"
"Wait..." Willow thinks "Computer, show me the ship at launch with all life signals," it does so "Now show me the ship today with all life signals,"
"Thousands less," Amy notices "But why?"
"Show me both images, then and now, side by side," Willow asks the computer
"What are you looking for?"
"Okay, two images. Spot the difference," Amy realises what Willow was doing "What changed? What happened to the Silurian's?" everyone looks at the ship schematics with the life signs.
"The centre," Nefertiti points
"Computer, zoom in to the centre..." It slowly does so
"Oh no..." Willow mutters
"What is it?"
"Another spacecraft," Amy answers for Willow
"This ship's been boarded before," Willow explains, looking around the room "Amy, call Rory,".
"Already on it," Amy is walking away, pulling out her phone and finding Rory in her contacts. Once she calls him, he answers almost immodestly
"Hello, missus," he jokes
"Where are you?"
"Still on board. Met some pterodactyls and some rusty robots I'm going to melt down...." it's clear he's with said robots and is threatening them.
"Rory, this is a Silurian ship," Amy interrupts and quickly starts explaining what her and the others had found. Rory soon puts her on the phone with The Doctor so he could also be in the loop.
"Amy?" he asks when the phone is handed over.
"This is an Ark built by the Silurian's. They were looking for another planet,"
"Where are they now?"
"None on board. I mean, there's thousands of stasis pods, all empty. Trust me, Willow's triple checked,"
"Okay...I'll see you soon,". Amy hangs up and pockets her phone, worry written all over her face as Riddell returns, having walked off during the conversation earlier.
"Now, these are what we need. Dinosaur protection," he brings out what looks to be two rifles.
"No weapons!" Amy prepares herself to have a go at him, but he passes her a box to go in the weapon.
"Anaesthetic? These are stun guns?" Riddell looks proud of himself "You're almost clever,"
"Enough to make a dinosaur take a nap. Even the Doctor couldn't object to that!"
"You and The Doctor, are you his Queen?" Nefertiti asks Amy
"No, I'm Rory's Queen. Wife...Wife. I am his wife. Please don't tell him I said I was his Queen. I'll never hear the end of it!"
"Ah yes, Willow is The Doctor's Queen?"
"Well...If Amy's a Queen, I would have to be a princess," Willow laughs
"Oh, shut it!"
"No, I am so telling dad this," Willow keeps laughing
"No! You won't, I'm you mo.-"
"You're seriously not about to pull the mum card, are you?"
"You bet I am!"
"Fine...I'll just tell The Doctor. Anyway," Willow turns to Nefertiti "I thought you had a husband?"
"The male equivalent of a sleeping potion," Amy and Willow smile
"You clearly need a man of action and excitement. One with a very large weapon!" Riddell shows off his riffle before walking away.
"So, human sleeping potion or walking innuendo," Amy gives Nefertiti her options
"Take your pick!" Willow laughs as the screen starts making static noises before changing to show the group The Doctor.
"That's very bad indeed. Completely unhelpful!"
"Doesn't the ship have any defence systems installed?" Rory asks him, looking at the computer, meaning he's looking right at the group.
"Good thinking, Rory!" The Doctor kisses Rory full on the mouth.
"Nothing like watching your husband kiss your dad,"
"Nothing like watching your husband be kissed by your son in law," Amy says after Willow as they watch.
"Computer, show us weapons and defence systems," 'No Systems Available' pops up on The Doctor's side of the computer
"Oh, well, that was a waste of time, wasn't it? Getting my hopes up like that!" The Doctor gently slaps either side of Rory's face.
"What ship doesn't have weapons?"
"Ah, they're an ancient species, Rory. Still full of hope..." The Doctor says sadly.
"What about the control deck? You said we should go to the control deck next," Brian suggests
"It's too late. It won't make any difference,"
"We could at least try,"
"It won't work, Rory! The missiles are locked on,"
"So, what, we're just giving up?" Rory asks, confused.
"I don't know.... I don't know,". There's a bright flash and two robots and an older man neither Willow, Amy, Nefertiti or Riddell recognises appear. The older man is called Solomon, and The Doctor had spoken to him earlier. Solomon is leaning heavily on a pair of metal crutches.
"You were telling the truth, Doctor. Earth has launched missiles. This vessel is too clumsy to outrun them, but I have my own ship,"
"You won't get your precious cargo on board, though. Just be you and your metal tantrum machines,"
"We do not have tantrums!" one of the robots defends
"Shut up! You're right, Doctor. I can't keep the dinosaurs and live myself. But I had the IV system scan the entire ship, and it found something even more valuable. Utterly unique," Solomon advances on The Doctor and Willow closes her eyes, assuming he'd want the TARDIS "I don't know where you found it, or how you got it here, but I want it..."
"I don't know what you're talking about,"
"Earth Queen Nefertiti of Egypt," Amy, Willow and Riddell look to the woman standing by them, who seems rather shocked.
"A face stamped across history...Give her to me, and I'll let the rest of you live,"
"No," The Doctor answers simply
"You think I won't punish those who get in my way, whatever they're worth?" The robots shoot a Triceratops which is nearby. The Doctor glares at Solomon, quickly rushing to the dinosaur, stroking it gently and whispering in its ear as it dies, trying to comfort it. He stands, and applauds sarcastically.
"You must be very proud,"
"Bring her to me, or the robots will make their way through your corpses. Bring her now!"
"No,".
Back in the laboratory, Nefertiti had stepped forward as soon as the dinosaur was shot. "Neffy, what are you doing?"
"I will not let these creatures be murdered for my protection,"
"We don't know what he's going to do to you!" Willow tells her, stepping in front of the computer, stopping her from teleporting.
"I demand you step aside,"
"No," Willow stays there.
"Willow..." Amy warns "It's queen Nefertiti of Egypt. She will kill you,"
"I'd like to see her try," Willow looks the queen dead in the eye
"So, would I," Riddell laughs and Willow slaps him, meaning Nefertiti has time to teleport.
"I demand to be taken -".
