{THE GIRL WHO WAITED - 4}
A/N: So...I'm still deciding on what I said on the last chapter. Either way, I need more interaction. If I do it, new chapters won't be posted until the goal is reached. But, if I don't, and I really don't want to, I'm going to need maybe a few more comments or votes to keep me going so I don't have to add goals. and feel motivated. And like I say, it doesn't have to be a raving review, it can just be some emojis or little things reacting to paragraphs or certain things that happen.
So, as always, Votes and comments mean the world!

"Do not be alarmed," a handbot starts speaking and Rory's eyes widen.
"Incoming!"
"This a kindness,"
"With me!" Older Amy instructs and she picks up her stout staff and snaps it in two, handing each half to Willow and her younger self.
"Do not be alarmed, this is a kindness. This is a kindness,"
"Amy, Kate Hayler, year ten hockey!" Older Amy shouts as she starts hitting bots, and Willow does so as well - knowing exactly how to fight.
"Go for the shins," Amy mutters, doing just that and soon all that handbots that appeared, are gone, their heads, arms and bodies sprawled across the floor. But, knowing their luck, more beam in.
"They're cutting off the Departure Gate. We can't get back to the TARDIS!" Rory shouts as they start running.
"Side door. We'll go behind them!" Older Amy explains and they rush out and down a stairwell.
"So, you think you're going to come with us, just like that?" Amy asks, clearly mildly annoyed
"Yeah, just like that!"
"Rory, talk to her," Amy instructs
"Rory, talk to her!"
"Now, ladies..." They rush out into the basement "Willow, talk to them!"
"No thanks,"
"Where are you going to live?" Amy asks angrily
"Not with you, don't worry. I'll go travelling. Pop back for Christmas, maybe Easter,"
"Amy, you always say, cooking Christmas dinner, you wish there was two of you!" Rory adds and Willow laughs.
Eventually, the four reach the gate room and Older Amy starts fiddling with the central controls.
"Can't we just teleport in?" Rory asks as Willow and Amy guard the way they came in, preparing for more handbots
"It's not a teleport, it's a time jump," Older Amy explains
"They can't shunt within the same timestream," Amy adds and Older Amy gives her past self a look, almost as if she's shocked she was still smart then.
"Yes,"
"The TARDIS is in the Gallery," Rory explains
"Gallery closed," the interface informs them when Older Amy presses the button.
"The controls are stuck. They've locked them from outside...."
"Can you unlock them?"
"Yeah, give me a minute," Older Amy then proceeds to flirt with Rory, Rory claiming she's 'old enough to be his nan'. Willow and Amy give them both a look - uncomfortable.
Handbots start to enter via all the portals and Rory tries to sonic the control column, proceeding to press the gallery button.
"Do not be alarmed. This is a kindness. Do not be alarmed. This is a kindness. Do not be alarmed. This is a kindness..." Amy throws her future self her half of the staff and Older Amy and Willow go through the portal first; swinging at the handbots as sparks fly.
"Come on!" Rory shouts back and Older Amy looks at her daughter
"Go! I've got your back," Willow nods and catches up with the younger version of her mother as the TARDIS is in sight. Handbots are waiting by the TARDIS though and one of them touches Amy, things seem to go in slow motion as Rory shouts out, catching her.
Willow picks the Mona Lisa off the wall, and smashes it over the Handbot that touched Amy whilst Rory runs his wife into the TARDIS, Willow following as Older Amy finally gets through the portal. She stops and stares at Willow holds the TARDIS door open, looking at Amy with worry and as Rory doesn't look back, focusing on bhis fallen wife and daughter next to him, making sure she hasn't been hurt either.
Alex rushes over to Amy, checking her over "Ah, it's just an anaesthetic. She'll be fine," Willow rushes into The Doctor's arms, hugging him tightly, forgetting about any problems she had with him at the moment. She was just happy to be with him, in the TARDIS and safe. He kisses her forehead and rushes to the door; Older Amy throws away her weapons and starts running.
"I'm sorry, "The Doctor shuts the door and locks the latch, leaving her out there, banging on the door.
"What are you doing?!" Rory asks, him Alex and Willow surrounding an unconscious Amy who's covered in The Doctor's coat.
"I lied to her, Rory. There can never be two Amy's in the TARDIS..."
"The paradox is too massive," Alex says sadly
"You can't leave her. She'll die!"
"Doctor, let me in!" Amy shouts from outside
"No, she'll never have existed. When we save our Amy, this future won't have happened,"
"But she happened. She's there," Rory rushes up to the door
"I trusted you!" Amy keeps shouting
"No, she's not real..."
"She is real. Let her in,"
"Look, we take this Amy, we leave ours. Only one Amy in the TARDIS. Which one do you want?" The Doctor puts Rory's hand on the door latch "It's your choice,"
"This isn't fair. You're turning me into you!"
"Your choice, Rory," The Doctor walks away to the console and Willow follows.
"Rory, please..." Amy cries in the other side and she puts her hand against a glass pane in the door. Rory does the same "The look on your face when you carried her. Me. Her... When you carried her away. You used to look at me like that. I'd forgotten how much you loved me. I'd forgotten how much I loved being her. Amy Pond, in the TARDIS, with Rory Williams. And the way you looked at Willow, making sure she was safe as well... you're her dad and she's her mum."
"I'm sorry, I can't do this!" he unlatches the door.
"If you love me, don't let me in. Open that door, I will, I'll come in. I don't want to die. I won't bow out bravely. I'll be kicking and screaming, fighting to the end,"
"Amy. Amy, I love you,"
"I love you, too. Don't let me in. Can you get Willow?"
"Er, yeah," he looks over to the brunette and she rushes down
"I'm here,"
"You told me my life was more important than yours, and that's not true. you're my daughter and Alex is yours, you have a family and I saw the relief on her face seeing you were safe. Your life has value and I don't want you to forget that. From one mother to another, you need to realise your life maters to your children. if you care about them, you care about yourself. Can you remember that? Can you never forget that?"
"I won't" Willow promises, tears forming "I won't forget it mum,"
"Don't let me in," Amy repeats "Tell Amy, your Amy, I'm giving her the days. The days with you two, the days to come,"
"I'm so, so sorry," Rory sobs
"The days I can't have with my family. Take them, please," Amy cries "I'm giving you my days."
"I'm so, so sorry," Willow takes Rory's hand as a comfort as Amy walks away. Willow hugs Rory and he cries into her shoulder.
"Do not be alarmed. This is a kindness' Handbots keep repeating themselves and Amy stands near them "Interface?"
"I am here, Amy Pond," Interface flashes up
"Show me Earth. Show me home," Interface does so "Did I ever tell you about this boy I met there, who pretended to be in a band? Did I ever tell you how in love he was when he looked at me holding one of our daughters?" A Handbot touches Older Amy, and she collapses, gently closing her eyes as she's injected with the medicine and The TARDIS dematerialises.
----------&----------
Amy is passed out on a chair, The Doctor's coat still hangs over her as The Doctor, Rory, Willow and Alex sit around her.
"Did you always know it would never work? Saving both Amy's?" Rory asks suddenly
"I promised you I'd save her, and there she is. Safe,"
"Yeah, there she is..."
"We'll leave you two alone," Willow tells her Father and The Doctor pats his back and Alex smiles, the three walking out as Amy starts to wake up, The Doctor turns around and sticks his tongue out at her and she laughs.
"Just giving you two some space," he explains and they walk away.
"You all right?"
"Mm hmm," Amy hums, sitting up
"How are you feeling?"
"Where is she?"
----------&----------
"So... A cuppa and a DVD?" Willow asks her boyfriend and daughter as they walk through the halls of the TARDIS.
"Um, actually I think I'm going to head to bed early,"
"Are you okay?" Willow asks Alex, putting her head to her forehead "Are you sick?"
"No! Nothing like that, I just think you two need to talk...alone," she gives The Doctor a look and walks away "Night!"
"What was that about?" Willow asks and The Doctor grabs her hand, pulling her into a small cupboard.
"I'm sorry," he says quickly "about what happened with Amy and Rory all those months ago, I should have told you what I was doing and I should have spoken to you about it sooner, not waited this long. I wasn't going to let them die, I promise, I just wanted Melody to -"
"I know," Willow grabs his face "I'm smarter than you think. I figured it out after, I just...I wish you'd told me whilst it was happening,"
"I know, I'm so, so-"
"Don't apologise. Just tell me in the future. I trust you, so trust me,"
"Okay," The Doctor nods before smiling "water under the bridge?"
"Always," Willow leans up to kiss him and he wraps his arms around her "hm, missed this whilst I was ignoring you," The Doctor laughs as Willow kisses him again before backing away "it seems you did as well, is there a reason you chose a small closet to have this conversation in?"
"No!" he tries to deny but Willow raises an eyebrow "okay...maybe," Willow giggles, connecting their lips again and it gets quite...steamy, quickly.
"Not joking, I really have missed this,"
"Well..." the Doctor bites his lip nervously "maybe we can go and make up for lost time?"
"Are you inviting me into your bed mister?"
"Maybe,"
"Good," Willow snogs him again and they both laugh. The TARDIs was calm once again, both couples content, and both mothers and daughters happy.
