I sprinted up the steps and focused on my breathing. I kept thinking about how I would apologize to Captain Levi if he caught me. But of course, me being me, I didn't pay attention to where I was going.  As my boots pounded against the cold stone steps, I felt myself collide with another person, and I bounced off of their chest, indicating that they were a large male, most likely. I looked up as I fell backwards, and my eyes widened in horror as I saw Commander Erwin looking at me with a concerned face.

 Everything seemed to go in slow motion, and I saw him reach out for me to try and prevent me from tumbling down the stairs, but he as his fingertips brushed mine, I couldn't get a firm grasp, and continued on my terrible journey down the steps. I instinctively curled myself into a ball, as to not break anything. I closed my eyes, only to shoot them back open again as I realized what this means, and how very terrible it would be for me if I couldn't stop in time.  

Captain Levi was still behind me, and if I didn't stop, I would run straight into him! I would knock him over for sure! This hallway was too small for him to dodge and I am much taller than him. I desperately tried to grab onto something that would slow me down, but I didn't want to risk getting hurt badly. Suddenly, I heard Levi mumbling about how much he hates potatoes, and I yelled as loud as i could, 

"LEVI! WATCH OUT!"

Levi looked up as I came barreling down the stairwell, and he was caught off guard. I smashed into him, and luckily the impact was enough to stop both of us. I heard Levi groan as he got up from the tangled mess I had just created. 

"(Y/N)- wait, WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!" he yelled at me.

Erwin came running down to where we were and asked if we were alright. 

"Are you guys ok? I'm so sorry for knocking you down miss (L/N), it created such a mess I see" he chuckled. However I was far from ok. I tried to think of ways to stay alive, to not die from Levi's hands. I started to wonder what kinds of flowers I would have at my funeral, until I thought of something.

I stood up, only to fall back down, and pretended to pass out. Levi couldn't ask me anything if i was unconscious! That gave me a lot of time to think of a excuse, and to arrange my thoughts.

"Oh dear, (Y/N)? (Y/N)?? Oh dear.." Erwin said, concerned. " We should take her to Hanji Levi."

"Whatever, I'm not carrying her." Levi said, obviously mad. " It's her fault anyway for running away when I tripped."

Erwin picked me up and started down the stairs, Levi following close behind. Erwin questioned Levi about the whole situation, and Levi explained that he tripped on a potato, who put it there was beyond him, but he had a idea. He said how he saw me run away as he fell.

"I wonder if she was scared of you taking your anger out on her, or if she really did put that potato there?" Erwin said.

" When she wakes up I'll get Hanji to ask her. If I asked her she would probably just lie to save her own skin." Levi stated.

When i felt them stop and place me on a bed, I finally could relax a little. I heard Hanji come into the room and check me over. 

"(Y/N)? You can stop pretending now, the're gone." Hanji said.

I cracked my eyes open and saw no one but Hanji in the room. I sat up and let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding.

"What a mess" I exclaimed.
