Caroline's Pov
Does she have her father's genes? Or will she be more like Damon? Thoughts like these cross my mind as I try to figure out how to get her to turn it back. We all had our switch off at one point she's not gonna want to do it. Especially after what happened these last few days. It's good thing Mystic falls is empty at this point. Less people get hurt and if she wants something fresh she's gonna have to go to another town. Ohh god. Why now Danie? Like we don't have enough problems. I slap my hand on the table as I try to think of any possible outcome to this situation but there is none. Where is Valerie I called her like half an hour ago, she should be here by now. If there's any other person then Stefan who can bring back her humanity it's Valerie.

I hear a knock on the door and Valerie comes in. Finally. I stand up with a worried face and she stares at me.

"So what's the problem?" She asks me and walks further into specious room made of dark wood. I lean against the old table where countless other documents are because Stefan and Damon don't want to clean them.

"Julian stabbed both Stefan and Damon with the Phoenix sword" I say and she gasp.

"Is Danie okay?"She asks but I lower my head. How do I tell her, her daughter turned it off.

"Well, relatively speaking yes but she turned off her humanity after Nora stabbed Stefan"I tell her and I see she's still shocked.

"Okay how do we flip it back?"She asks me but I shake my head. I wish I knew.

"Well that's not the only problem we have"I say and she looks at me confused. "She's a ripper"I say and take out a newspaper that I found only. "The ripper of Monaco"I finish.

"Okay, we'll figure something out okay, we have"Valerie tells me and I nod. In a few minutes Bonnie's going to be here to help us figure out how to get Damon and Stefan out of the Phoenix stone. We know it has something to with the stone which we have now so that should make things easier.

We're currently sitting in the living going through Bonnie's grimoirs and any and every book that has the slightest mention of hell or hellstone or any connection to Phoenix stone. But so far no luck. I slam the book shut when the door opens and Danie walks in with her shirt covered in blood.

"Hey Danie where were you?"Valerie asks her in a calm voice as she approaches her daughter. She's pretending she doesn't know about the humanity flip. Well it didn't work last time someone tried it doubt it will work this time.

"Out. Eating. I was hungry as you can see. And the nearest food was about an hour of vamp speed" She says her voice totally lacking emotions.

"Well as you can see we're trying to get your father and Uncle back so you can change and maybe help us?"Valerie proposes. Damn she is good I almost believed that she didn't know.

"No thanks, I've got better things to do then sit around day night trying to save someone who's not food" Danie says and turns on her heal. I see Valerie speeding towards her about to stab her with a syringe full of what I'm guessing is vervain but Danie turns around and break's her mothers hand causing the syringe to trop onto the floor and spill on the carpet.

"Nice try mother. But I'm way stronger,and faster when I'm not on the pathetic bunny diet"Danie says and walks back upstairs while Valerie sets her hand right. I walk toward her and scold her.

"Why did you do that now she knows we're onto her. It's gonna be even harder" She just smiles up at me and I stare down at her confused. Why is she smiling?

"Now she won't expect us to strike again so fast. We've got an opportunity"She tells me and stands up and goes back to the table to read through the books.

"So what happens after we successfully vervain your daughter. You want to lock her up in the basement and tie her up until she shows any kind of emotion?"I ask her madly as I step into the room.

"Of course not are you crazy Caroline. But I can't let my daughter slaughter another town it's going to ruin her when it eventually flips back" Valerie continues and J have to admit she's right. If she keeps this the guilt is just going to get stronger when she turns it back on.

"Here, I got these from downstairs"She says and gives us all a syringe full of vervain. I don't like this idea but it's the only that will work. Danie is technically my step-daughter but how else would we deal with a ripper?

After hours and hours of scrolling through the books we couldn't find anything that say's anything even close to a Phoenix stone. Then out of nowhere a girl steps through the door. She's dressed in a style that would have been in in the 80. She has long sleeved pink sweater and light blue jeans styled with a brown belt. Around her neck she's wearing what looks like a mood ring.

"So I was in town to visit my sisters grave when I saw a bunch of bodies ripped and arranged back together so some tell me where can I find Danielle Morlow" The mysterious girl with golden hair and green eyes tells us. Her hair is in a single braid on one of her sides.

"And you are?"I ask her suspiciously. No one just walks into someone's house and demand's information especially not if it concern's my step-daughter.

"Ohh sorry I'm Lexa Branson" The girl answers. Branson like Lexi?

"Lexi had a sister?" I ask Lexa who looks a bit suprised that we know about Lexi.

"Yeah I'm the younger sibling. She's 2years older then me"Lexa answers.

"So do you know how to turn Danie's humanity back or not?"Valerie asks her impatient, clearly not having the energy to deal with the stories of the past.

"Yes I managed that after her mom's passing I can do ir now too. I just have to know the reason"Lexa tells us and Valerie explains to her everything from how she found her family to how Julian stabbed her father and Uncle.

"Okay so she turned it off because she saw the people close to her going to hell trying to get revenge for they did to her?"She ask and we nod. "It's gonna be harder now. Last time it was because she was sad that her mom died I mean Elizabeth, so I was able to use her memories against her and I convinced her that life with humanity is much better but now we have very little material to work with plus she's going to know right away I'm in her head" Lexa says and she groans.

"Okay so you altered her memories like her mom was still alive to stie up an emotion?"I ask her. That sounds kinda harsh I don't want her to go through that again.

"Basically but this time it won't work because she wasn't here that long she's going to know something's wrong the minute I try to manipulate her mind"Lexa explains to us. Well at least we someone that wad there when she did it and knows how to get even close to bringing it back.

"Any other options?"I ask her and before she can answer Danie comes downstairs and groans when she sees Lexa. Well that confirms that she is who she claims to be.

"What are you doing here?" She asks her annoyed.

"You know I was visiting my sister when I noticed a trail of bodies so I came to check up on you see why you're off the rails again"Lexa said and Danie stood there with a bored expression.

"Well I'm fine and I don't need your help infact I've never been better, although I am hungry"Danie says and smirks as she finishes her sentence. She turns around about to leave the house but Lexa vamp speed to her and knocks her head over the wall breaking her neck.

"We'll I'm older and stronger"She tells the unconscious girl laying on the floor.

"Now what do you want to do with my daughter?"Valerie asks still not fully trusting her. None of us do completely, but at least she has an idea unlike the rest of us.

Lexa put Danie's body into the cellar on the bed. The both of us were surprised she didn't tie her up but that was explained the moment she stuck a vervain syringe into her arm.

"But won't she try to get out"I ask Lexa who shakes her head. She had probably done this before.

"She'll be too weak to even move let alone get out"Lexa explains and closes the door of the cell.

Now we can focus on both things getting Danie back without her having to massacre an entire village and getting the boys back to help us with her humanity.

Hello,good morning/or night idk what is where you're from but it's morning here😁. Here's another chapter. I absolutely love writing Danie without her humanity she was a fun character to write. Also the next chapter will be more focused on Stefan's hell cause I plan on changing that.
