Stefan's Pov
Danie stood in the living room her arms crossed. She was waiting for a reply but everyone was quite. Then she walked closer to her father so that she was only a couple inches away.

"What you didn't see that coming? I mean what's some family time am I right" She said and her boots clicked as she walked to couch and hoped on it.

"Why don't you just tell us what you're doing here?"Caroline asked her, last time her voice was filled with sympathy for her because she lost but after fishing out pieces of wood from my chest, her opinion changed.

"Now where would the dun be in that? Anyway daddy dearest where do you keep the good stuff and I'm talking about B- negative" She said and got up from the couch realizing she's hungry. Me and Caroline smirked at each other and then looked back Danie who seemed really confused.

"Well since your little ripper bender-" I start to say but I'm cut off by Danie.

"Which wouldn't happen if you didn't pass on this gene"

"So after it we decided that we're going to store the blood somewhere else"I reply to her and that only angered her. She was a hungry ripper and in no mood for bargaining. She was about to speed to me when Caroline had her pinned against the wall.

"Hey, humanity or not you are not attacking your family"She said but Danie doesn't look like she's taking her seriously so Caroline thightens her grip on my daughter's neck making her grasp for breath. "Do you understand" She says and Danie nods she releases her and she falls down onto the floor. I rush up to her and help her up even with her humanity she's still my daughter and my father's instinct wouldn't let me just let her sit there. I grab her under her arms but she pushes me away.

"I can get up on my own" She hisses at me and I back away.

"Now will you finally tell us what got you to come back"Valerie says from the other side of the room. She's been observing this whole situation. I know it can't be easy to see your daughter like this. I know it's not easy for me.

"I missed my mother and father isn't that enough" She says and smiles innocently. Something definitely happened in the woods when Lexa sped off to search for her. Then her smiles falls and she turns to look at us. "Now someone better tell me where the blood bags are or I'm just going to use him" She says and a guy walks in. He is visibly scared. Me, Caroline and Valerie stay there shocked she ran to the closest town and compelled someone. Damn and I thought I was bad as a ripper.

"Danie don't do this you don't know what it will do you, the guilt when you turn it back on. Please stop before it becomes too much. Take it from me, I know how that goes" I told her just wanting to help I can't have her eaten up by grief. I may not know my daughter for a long time but I know that she's kind and caring and she would never hurt someone just because she can.

"10......9.......8.......7"She starts saying. "Danie please" Caroline begs, if we tell her then she'll have an endless blood supply while we dessicate. But I can't let an innocent human die."6....... 5....... 4..... 3......2.....1" She says and extends her fangs about to bite guy but I vamp speed over to her taking her by suprise. She releases the guy and Valerie rushes away with him. "Nad move now I'm hungry and enraged" She says and she goes to bite me in the neck but I jump away. She looks at me with hate in her eyes. It makes my eyes water a little while my body is angry that she's this other personality. The ripper Danie.

"I want my daughter back" I say to her my voice is angry but I feel my eyes are getting watery. I just my babygirl, the same girl that would rather take her own life then allow any of us to be harmed.

"I want my father back" She says and almost screams and then I realize that she's slowly coming back. In one moment I could see it in her eyes, it was like she was begging me to help her get back but then her expression became colder meaning the non humanity side won. She speeds upstairs and me and Caroline are left with questions as to what just happened here.

I look towards Caroline and say. "We have to find out more, I saw it Caroline"

"Okay,but how she's not gonna just tell us if we ask"Caroline retorts. And I nod. I know I know think Stefan think.

"I'm not liking this idea but can't we just look into her memories?"I propose with a hesitant tone. I know looking into someone's mind is invading their privacy but we're out of options.

"What- Stefan" Caroline says and thinks for a moment, I can see that she's trying to find another solution. But she sighs when she can't. "I can't think of anything else"She admits and I motion for her to get closer to me and she buries her face into my neck while my hand is going through her hair.

At night we sneak into her room and see her sleeping soundly on the bed. Me and Caroline place each of our hands on hers as we enter her memories.

We're in the woods and I can see my daughter feeding on a person before his head pops down. She shrugs and places him down onto the floor and head right on it. This gives me unwanted flashbacks of my own ripper time. One I don't want to think about.

"It's strange you know. Putting them back together like you care"Lexa is saying coming from behind. She looks over my daughter who's clothes are covered in the blood of the people she drained.

"Ohh don't give me that crap again, Stefan and Valerie both tried to convince me and you you're never successful. You always use mind control"Danie says and me and Caroline look at each other. Mind control? "You sneak inside my head and you make my life a living hell, but not this time. This time I won't feel the pain of loosing my parents. Again."She tells her and I felt my heart break.

"Do you think Elizabeth your mom who raised and loved you would be proud of the monster you are now. Do you think she would like how you're treating your parents now" Lexa asks taunting her friend to show any emotion.I have to admit it hurts to know that I wasn't there to see her grow up. Danie backs up shaking her head. "No do not bring her into this"She says her voice slightly breaking.

"Why? Afraid she'll judge you?" Lexa smirks and Danie vamp speeds to her snapping her neck. "Who's the strong one now" She says and runs away.
The scene fades and we're back in the room. We walk downstairs and sit on the couch while discussing.

"Her humanity is flickering you saw that too, she just needs a strong push" I say and Caroline looks at me.

"Stefan what are you suggesting?"Caroline looks at me with a questionable look like she doesn't like what I'm about to say.

"That we call two people to help" I tell her and we hear the door opening and Valerie steps inside. "Why am I not liking this already" She says and I look at her sympathetically.

The next my daughter comes down to the living room and she groans annoyed when she sees all of us standing in the room.

"What now?"She asks annoyed and I nod to Caroline who whistles and Tyler emerges from the shadows, his eyes glowing. Danie looks at him with a rather scared expression and starts to back away until she hits the wall. I close my eyes and prepare myself for the venom. Tyler lunches and I feel his fangs digging into the side of my neck. Involuntarily I scream out as he bites me. He releases me and I can feel the venom traveling in my system. It's so strong that Caroline has to hold me for support before placing me on the sofa.

"No, no no no, Mom I know you're doing an illusion spell" She says and looks straight at Valerie who shakes her head. "Stop it, okay point made you want me back, Now Stop it please Stop the spell" Her voice is now breaking. She steps closer to me and I take her hand.

"Hey it's okay, if the last thing I do on this earth is bringing my daughter back then it's worth it"I say and close my eyes feeling they're too heavy to keep them open.

"Dad, wake up. Wake up. Please, please someone do something", I hear her beg with a tear filled voice as she shakes my body I want to open my eyes but Tyler's now a hybrid the venom is a lot stronger. "Please someone. Mom, Caroline wake him up" She screams and I use the last bit of energy to push my hand so that it thouches hers. "Ahhhhhhh" She screams and breaks down her humanity fully coming back.

I feel a liquid being pressed to my mouth and I'm forced to swallow. I swallow Klaus's blood and open my eyes to meet my daughter's which are all puffy and red from her cries. I gently pass a hand on her back and make it go up and down. She takes a moment to realize before hugging me and crying even harder.

"Shhh, it's alright sweetie, it's alright" I start telling her in order to help calm her down. She grabs my shirt thightly and I place soft little kisses on her head. "I'm okay, you're gonna be okay" I keep telling her while having a firm grip on her so that she doesn't get out of my arms. Not again.

This chapter took a fair amount of time writing it but inspiration struck me like at 10pm yesterday so I was like I have to write it now or I'll forget tomorrow, kinda how ended up going to sleep at midnight 😁. Have nice day and enjoy summer vacation.
