Darling...

Narrator's POV

Instead of leading him to the dining room like Astre assumed, Ciel led his brother up a flight of stairs and down a hallway —the bitter feeling that he had only been a few doors from this room when Undertaker caught him crossed the living twin's mind but he quickly pushed that aside— before knocking on a door.

Lizzy answered the door a few moments later and greeted them with a smile, "Good morning, Ciel! Good morning, Astre!"

The twins greeted her in turn before going to the dining room together.

The table was laden with all sorts of fruits and pastries, the table set for six diners.

Ciel, naturally, sat at the head of the table, Lizzy sat at her right and Astre to his left.

The moment they were sat, servants flittered into the room and served them their meal and brought them cups of tea.

Astre looked at his plate, at the smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and a scone and began to eat.

His uncovered eyes glanced to the empty three chairs, wondering who the other mysterious Star Lords were and if they were Bizarre Dolls like Ciel.

While they ate, Astre had no idea how much the pair he was sitting with truly loved him.

As far as the younger twin was aware, Ciel was his protective and possessive big brother.

But in actuality, Ciel was absolutely obsessed with him and wanted him as both a brother and lover.

Lizzy's feelings for Astre was slightly more complicated compared to Ciel's.

While the blonde loved Ciel deeply and her only desire in life was to be his wife, she agreed with him that Astre was a precious gem meant to be hoarded away —by them of course.

Astre was as beautiful as a porcelain doll and as delicate as one too, she had no idea how he managed to pretend to be Ciel so well these past few years.

When she had thought the twins were dead, Lizzy had been devastated as her life crumbled around her, but happiness returned when 'Ciel' had returned alive.

But she had also been so upset that darling Astre had been lost before she and Ciel could love him properly.

When Blavat had brought her to Ciel and she had learned the truth of Astre's lies she had mixed feelings: she had been sad that Astre had lied, and happy to be reunited with her real fiancé as well as know that Astre was not gone, but she had also been a bit embarrassed.

Astre had played the part of Ciel so well but the details she had glossed over never quite fit:

The fact that 'Ciel' had taken to chocolate sweets instead of his favored strawberry ones.

The uncharacteristic kindness he displayed towards his servants and others.

Little things like that that could easily be brushed past but never felt right —which in hindsight made sense since those were things Astre did but Ciel never did.

But the biggest thing she should have noticed was actually on the Campania.

Ciel had always been a strong person that never needed anyone to protect him —if anything people needed protection from him.

Whereas 'Ciel' had needed her to protect him from the attacking undead after he sprained his ankle.

That alone should have clued her in that 'Ciel' was actually precious Astre all along.

And now that she and Ciel had their darling back and theirs, he was never leaving their side again.

After breakfast, the three teens went to the library and sat in the back hidden by a few bookshelves.

As they made themselves comfortable on the couch together, Ciel immediately removed his diadem and veil, putting them on the nearby coffee table, "Finally."

They stayed in silence together for a few moments, Astre feeling Ciel and Lizzy's eyes on him —almost like a rabbit trapped between two foxes.

Their hands were on his thighs, possessively yet silently claiming him as theirs.

Astre tried to brush the feeling off, Ciel and Lizzy were only interested in each other romantically and he was just being disgusting for thinking about his brother and cousin like that.

But as ashamed as he was to admit it, a part of him wanted to be loved like that too, to join in on what he had been excluded from his entire life.

He wanted to stop looking through the metaphorical window and actually be with them in the metaphorical garden.

"Is something wrong, Astre?" Lizzy asked, tilting her head slightly

Said blunette's cheeks flushed red, "N-No, I am fine."

"Are you sure, starshine?" Ciel asked, his other hand draped over Astre's shoulders, "You can tell us anything that might concern you."

"It is nothing, just a stupid thought." Astre brushed off

"Still, you can share anything with us." The blonde assured

The living blunette still said nothing, a bit flustered.

Ciel tsked, "Still keeping secrets, Astre? I thought you promised to be a good boy?"

Astre's mind flashed back to being trapped in the dark closet all alone, he did not want to go back!

"N-No." Astre denied, "Just scared."

"Of what?" Lizzy sweetly asked

"That you both will think I am disgusting." He admitted, looking down at his lap

"What could make us think that?" Ciel inquired

"When Lizzy thought I was you, she loved me romantically. I-I miss that." Astre answered, his cheeks even more flushed as his eye watered with tears, "A-And I want you to love me like that too."

"Oh, starshine." Ciel began

Tears spilled from Astre's eye, landing to his shorts as he awaited rejection and to be mocked for his incestous desires.

But no such thing happened as Ciel pressed his lips against Astre's.

The younger twin was shocked, tears still rolling down his cheek as he kissed back.

When they parted, Astre just stared at his brother and then to Lizzy expecting her to be grossed out, but she was just smiling.

"Oh, starshine." Ciel repeated with a smile as well, "We wanted that too."

"R-Really?" The living blunette asked in disbelief

Lizzy nodded, "Really, bunny."

Astre did not know what to say, so he just let himself be cuddled by them while they pressed kisses to his cheeks and lips...
