First of all, before I say anything else, I'm so sorry for not updating! I have been drawing, but nothing has been good enough to publish (in my opinion) or I just didn't finish it. The last time I posted art here was on 11th February, so over a month ago, and I'm really sorry!

I watched Beetlejuice (the original movie, with Winona Ryder) a little while ago, and Lydia sort of reminded me of Celia, and Beetlejuice a little of Bill. But I didn't really like their relationship as much in the film, it was a little dated (and a bit creepy), so I never really did anything with it. However, I was listening to the musical today, and watched some clips from bootlegs yesterday, and Lydia's character really matches Celia's in certain aspects. Plus the relationship between Lydia and Beetlejuice is a lot more dynamic and interesting, in my opinion.

Plus I really love Lydia's dress.

So without further ado, here's a Beetlejuice musical-based AU for Gravity Falls, including Celia!

The proportions are a little off and her head is in a weird angle to her body (normally I correct it if I'm doing digital art, so I didn't really think about it) but I am very happy with how it turned out! I loved drawing the dress and her outfit in general, I tried to get in a lot of detail without it seeming too much for the cartoonish style.

In this AU, Bill would be Beetlejuice, Celia would be Lydia, and Mabel and Dipper would be Barbara and Adam. Obviously Bill and Celia wouldn't marry, there'd be a more deal-based way to make that work, and neither would Dipper and Mabel, again for obvious reasons. This AU only works in terms of the dynamics/relationships and personalities of the characters, though it's still very fun to draw and think about!!

The song at the top is "Say My Name" from the BJ Musical, where the original inspiration came from.
