Chapter 13: Kiss kiss fall in love
"I think I might've started liking you differently, Sarang."
You squeezed your eyes shut. No, this was just a nightmare but, wait, you didn't even get any sleep last night.
Everything that happened the previous night made a quick recap on your mind for the nth time. Nope, definitely not a dream.
You groaned in a low voice turning your head to other side as it rested on top of your hands. Resting/ sleeping in the public library. Yeah, that's how pathetic your life had become.
Was this a joke to him? How could he say something so serious when he knew close to nothing about it?
Why was he shaking up your heart!
But the expression he gave, sad yet meaningful. His dark eyes genuine and warm. It was scary. How everything was happening so fast was scary for you.
So you did what you were best at doing. You ran.
You ran away practically shoving a good night to his face, as if the conversation didn't even happen and then you locked yourself in your bedroom. It was the longest night of your life.
And as soon as morning came, you escaped again. To here, the public library. As if you'd be here to study anyway.
Letting out a deep, exhausted sigh you stirred. Turning your head to the other side again to find comfort that you were bound to not find here. But your eyes shot up to your forehead when you saw a familiar figure sitting next to you.
The person put their hands atop the table too, slowly they put their head down. Making your our eyes align with their beautiful ones.
Taehyung.
Blonde locks falling on his forehead ever so gracefully, a clever smirk slowly made its way on the corner of his rosy lips.
"I found you," he whispered in his velvety low voice.
You were too exhausted to run away again. It was enough running for you. And you realized, it was finally time for you to talk. To talk him out of it.
"How did you find me?" Though you could only ask that, your voice laced with tiredness.
"I'm a fairy you know." He smiled again and your heart wrenched a little. You didn't even know why.
There were so many things you wanted to say, bring up the topic from last night but you just couldn't. You couldn't start talking about it out if the blue so you waited for him to speak first.
But he didn't. He kept silent with his head down on his fluffy white full sleeves. Eyes locked with yours and they'd never leave.
"Taehyung...," you mumbled preparing your heart to talk about it.
"I'd be a good boyfriend to you, if you're doubting that," he whispered again.
"Tae, I am...,"
"What should I do to make you believe me?" He cut you off, eyes giving you a more serious expression, brows a little scrunched.
But then all of a sudden his face became really sad. He looked heartbroken. "Or is it because... you don't like me?" He said with his breath hitching on his throat.
Your heart broke into million pieces seeing him sad like that. "No! That's not it, Tae."
"Then don't deny me." He brought his face a little closer and your heart dropped, right then and there. You could feel his breath on your skin.
"Don't break my heart, Sarang. This is my first time falling in love."
His breathy low voice made a shiver run down your spine. But when his eyes raked down to your lips, your mind became blank.
And he got closer, until his lips met yours.
Despite seeing that coming, you couldn't move away, you couldn't tell him to stop. You were mesmerized by his beauty and before you knew it this happened.
Your stomach turned, breathing stopped, eyes became wider than ever feeling his soft lips pressed against yours. His sweet fragrance devouring your every rational thought.
He put a hand around your head and kissed you harder this time. There was no where to escape, you didn't even want to escape.
Nauseated, you closed your eyes. Kissing him back as you couldn't help it.
And then you woke up. All of a sudden.
Your reflex action made you jump when that itty little bit of your rational side told you what you were doing was wrong. And that made you wake up from your slumber also.
A harsh slap made your ear buzz, cheek red stained when your own hand met your skin. Looking ahead with your dead eyes you saw the whole library full of people staring at you intently, giving you the weirdest look.
You could only put your head down again in embarrassment, crying as you did that.
You were absolutely going crazy.

And again, God just had the perfect timing.
As soon as you had stepped outside after your shift was done at the cafe, it started pouring without any kind of warning. Yet again, God wanted to pour some spice on your frustration.
Putting your hands over your head as a failure of an attempt to cover yourself from the harsh daggers of water droplets you started running towards the bus station, curses leaving your mouth like bullets from a machine gun, curses that were particularly directed towards no one.
In the dark on a street where there was nothing but rain pouring and tall buildings getting soaked with you too only made you feel that the bus station was more distanced than ever.
Long steps, rushed footwork, but then, suddenly you were halted when you bumped into someone. Letting out another curse word for the umpteenth time you looked up to see the beautiful man half drenched, holding a red umbrella on top of your head.
"T-Taehyung?" Your lips trembled in the cold. But that was only a second wasted for recognition, immediately after that you shoved him away and you felt the cold rain washing over you again.
Was this a dream again?
"I must be going crazy!" You yelled at yourself looking at the latter's confused face. "Why are you here? Are you really here?"
His brows became furrowed as he took a step close to you and you took one back. "Sarang, what's wrong...? I came out because it started to rain, and you weren't coming home. I was worried."
There he went again.
"Stop saying things like those so carelessly," you trembled in the harsh rain. Another step back when he tried to get close to you.
"No one ever said those to me. No one missed me at home. Heck, there even wasn't anyone at home. And you came along. I was fine until now, I was enjoying your company, u-until..."
"Until what, Sarang?" He could only get more confused.
"Until you said those stuff to me last night!" You finally snapped, throwing your backpack on the rain soaked street. "It was easy for you! It must've meant nothing to you! But no one ever liked me that way! No one ever cared for me and said that they liked me that way!"
"I.. I meant every word I said Sarang," he mumbled looking at your eyes wide eyed.
"No, you didn't," you grumbled. "In fact you don't know anything about love. Do you know how people date? What a relationship means? Hell, I don't know myself but at least I watched dramas!"
"I know a lot more than you think."
You saw his jaw clench and for the first time, he looked a little angry. But you didn't let it get to you.
"You don't, Taehyung. So stop saying things you don't unders-"
You couldn't finish as he threw the red umbrella to the ground and took rushed steps closer to you. His fluffy blonde hair getting wet in the rain in no time when he got closer to you than ever. Cupping your cheeks with his large hands he leaned his head a little.
Putting his forehead against yours and the next second, kissing you, ever so gently.
You've never felt anyone this close to you. In the cold harsh rain, his lips gave you the warm soft feeling that made you forget everything for a short while. Taking you to Utopia where other thoughts didn't exist.
Then he pulled away but his forehead was still gently pressed against yours. Even in the dark and rain pouring over you both, you could feel his face warm and red.
"I... I really like you, Sarang," he muttered.
You couldn't protest this time. Your mind was still caught up to the moment that happened before.
So this is how a kiss feels like.
