💕 a precious dream | jinkook

[Summary] (com)

On the night of your 21st birthday, you dream of who your soulmate is. In the midst of comeback promotions, Jungkook completely forgets about his birthday.

However, Jungkook dreams of Seokjin the night before his members greet him with a birthday breakfast, and suddenly he realizes just what his strange dream meant.

Kim Seokjin is his soulmate.

Something feels odd, but Jungkook can't quite point it out.

Days seem a little longer, he realizes a weird sensation within him, and there's a strange shift in the atmosphere around. It sounds unbelievable, but he really does feel it! He feels the air changing, but he can't figure out why. Can't figure out the shift.

Their schedules are so packed and promotions are all over the place. Jungkook can hardly focus on anything other than his voice, practice, the cameras, and the fans cheering them on in the crowds of their stages.

Even with such a busy schedule, he can feel it.

What is it?

He sleeps it off for days, trying to ignore it.

But tonight when he goes to sleep, it feels much heavier. A part of him is terrified that he's experiencing some sort of intuition thing– that he feels this way because something bad will happen in his sleep. It's hard to sleep on this particular night, but eventually after having his eyes closed for countless minutes, he drifts off.

He drifts off into such a beautiful slumber despite how anxious he was before falling asleep.

Sleep turns into a safety net and that safety net holds him so incredibly well. Sleep turns into a gorgeous little dream.

A nice sensation finally settles over him in his dream world. But it's odd; Jungkook hardly ever remembers his dreams, yet this one feels like paradise– like he's meant to be here– and it feels like he's really in this world, like he'll remember it for forever.

This dream world is beautiful.

It's set outside. Jungkook's sitting at a little picnic table in the middle of a grassy field. The sun is setting and it creates the most unrealistic shades of blues, pinks, and purples in the sky. There are rabbits jumping over the grass and a trail of wildflowers.

Jungkook follows where the bunnies are jumping off to, where the flowers lead to. But for some reason, there at the end of the flower trail is his bandmate. His hyung. Kim Seokjin.

"Hyung?"

The dreamworld version of Seokjin walks up to Jungkook. He walks unhurriedly and he's got his cheeky little smile on his face, his warm brown eyes set on Jungkook as he simply sits next to him after such a long walk.

Seokjin turns to look at him. "Jungkook-ah," he says. His voice is so realistic. It sounds just like him. And his features are even more realistic– almost like Jungkook can't look away from him in this dream world. His eyes are locked in on Seokjin, who smiles off into the distance. "You're staring at me."

It's then that Seokjin starts laughing to himself, that familiar and humorous laugh of his, and Jungkook realizes that Seokjin's laugh makes him feel just like the safety net of this dreamworld does; nice and safe.

"Hyung," Jungkook lets out, "what are you doing here in my dreamworld?"

Dreamworld Seokjin just looks at him in confusion, his eyes suddenly wide and his smile dropping.

"Dreamworld? Jungkook-ah, what are you talking about?" Suddenly, his hand is being picked up and Jungkook watches in awe as dreamworld Seokjin intertwines their fingers. "So silly. Why would I be in your dreamworld, Jungkook-ah?"

He lifts Jungkook's backhand up to his lips, but the moment Seokjin's lips brush against his skin, Jungkook rushes up into his bed and gasps to himself as he feels tingly all over– also lightheaded from rushing up like he did.

It was a dream.

Jungkook first wonders just why the hell he'd dream of such a thing. Then, he grumbles to himself as he realizes his phone alarm is going off.

Deciding to push the weird dream aside, he simply turns his loud, annoying alarm off and sighs into his room as he realizes he has to get up early for yet another schedule. At least this time it's just a performance and not another awkward interview.

He sits there for a few minutes staring at his blankets before he finally gets out of his bed and walks straight out of his bedroom and to the group's shared bathroom. He washes up in there and yawns to himself as he lazily makes his way towards the kitchen.

For some unknown reason, he smells something amazing.

"Jungkook-ah!"

Jungkook flinches the moment he walks into the open kitchen. It's Jimin and Hoseok who cheer right in his face, but Jungkook blinks in pure confusion once he sees a plate being presented to him which has a delicious-looking pastry and some toast on it. He doesn't ignore the fact that all of the members are standing either in the kitchen or living room already.

They're all here..?

"Happy birthday to you–"

The moment Hoseok starts singing, Jungkook drops the toast he'd just picked up and he freezes as he tilts his chin up and instinctively locks eyes with Seokjin, who's standing next to the kitchen island.

As the familiar birthday song is sung and replays in his head a million times over, Jungkook shudders once he realizes that today, he turns a big number. A huge number, even. The biggest number that everyone waits impatiently for, for like– years.

Twenty-one.

The night you turn twenty-one, you dream of who your soulmate is.

Jungkook can physically feel himself turning white as he blocks out all noises from anyone around him. All he does is look at Seokjin, who refuses to look him in the eye now. All Jungkook can do is think about last night's dream; he dreamt of Seokjin and Seokjin only.

Kim Seokjin... is his soulmate..?

That can't be right, can it? Seokjin can't be his soulmate. There's no way that can be true. Seokjin is... Seokjin. How could they possibly be meant to be?

Did Jungkook dream wrong? Was something mixed up? But why is Seokjin avoiding his eyes? Why is Seokjin so silent– a lot more silent than he usually is? Why isn't he singing or celebrating Jungkook's birthday?

Is he avoiding Jungkook because he doesn't want Jungkook as a soulmate? Did he know about this? Has he known all this time?

"Who did you dream of?" Taehyung is the first to ask him.

Jungkook nearly stumbles over nothing as he goes to put his plate down on the counter. He follows Seokjin's strategy and ignores the question, averts his eyes from the oldest so he can try to think straight.

"Jungkookie?" Hoseok concerns.

Jungkook gulps as he feels one of the members rest a hand on his back and someone else questions him. "Um. Nobody," he lies as he pulls himself away from the counter. He ignores the way Seokjin finally decides to look at him now as he backs away. "I-I'm sorry but I don't feel good. I'm going to rest for a little longer. Thank you guys for the breakfast. You can have it."

He pushes the plate in Taehyung's direction before rushing out of the kitchen and back to his bedroom.

The dream from last night plays in his head over and over again, endless as he hides himself into his pillow.

Did Jin really keep this from him?

Jungkook waited twenty-one years of his life with a countdown to find out who his soulmate is, yet he's been right next to him for these last few years? Or what if Seokjin doesn't know? What if he never got his dream–?

There's a small knock on Jungkook's door before it opens away. Seokjin doesn't even give Jungkook enough time to hope it was a mixup.

"Jungkook-ah?"

The maknae shudders as he watches Seokjin step quietly into his door, then just as quietly closes it. He still doesn't look at Jungkook and the bright light of the bedroom reflects over Seokjin's blond hair that he dyed for their Idol comeback; the blond somehow makes it a million times easier to see that Seokjin's ears are bright red.

There's a sinking in Jungkook's stomach as Seokjin walks in because even if he's possibly his soulmate, that's a problem. Everything's a problem with this. Right?

"Hyung," he calls out lightly as the older walks towards his bed. Seokjin's steps are carefully silent and he still refuses to look at Jungkook as he sits on the very edge of Jungkook's mattress. "You knew, didn't you?"

Seokjin's head falls impossibly further.

He knew.

"You knew that I was your soulmate?" Jungkook asks louder this time, even more confusion laced in his tone.

"I did..."

Of course he did. Jungkook just wanted to hear it from him. It still doesn't make things any better, though.

"Are you mad at me?"

Jungkook frowns at the question and at Seokjin's suddenly smaller voice. He doesn't like to see Seokjin with his head down, Seokjin without a smile on his face, or Seokjin who thinks anyone is mad at him.

Truth be told, there's no way Jungkook could be mad at Seokjin. He can get pouty and upset over the littlest things, but never in a million years could Jungkook ever be mad at Kim Seokjin– or any of his members.

"I'm not mad at you," he utters under his breath. He pulls his blanket up towards his face as he pulls his knees up to his chest. He tries to hide as Seokjin finally looks at him with a hint of worry in his eyes. "Hyung, I don't know what to do about this. I- I wasn't expecting you to be my–"

He stops himself from saying the word. It sounds too real that way.

"I wasn't expecting it either, you know."

"Hyung.. Can we just.."

Jungkook doesn't know what to do. He isn't sure what Seokjin expects from him. He doesn't know what Seokjin wants. For as long as he can remember, Jungkook has wanted to be with his soulmate, to treat them like the most precious person in the world, to love them with everything in him, and to kiss the life out of them because of that love.

He wasn't expecting to dream of Kim Seokjin.

"Can we just what, Jungkook?"

The sinking feeling is constant now, weighing Jungkook's entire body down. Seokjin's voice sounds tired and Jungkook can't help but wonder if he is, if his weak and worn voice is because he doesn't know what to do with the soulmate he may or may not want.

Jungkook can't imagine Seokjin wanting him.

After so many years of knowing about this, Seokjin didn't say a word. Maybe he didn't want to because he didn't want Jungkook. Maybe he still doesn't.

"Can we just wait and talk about this later, please?" Jungkook finally asks. "We have promotions for Idol and so much going on lately. I don't want to be distracted, hyung. We can talk about this mess later, right?"

Seokjin gives him one good, long and hard look. It makes Jungkook a little nervous, the way he stares for a moment, but he eventually looks away and makes a noise that sounds almost like a scoff. Jungkook can't see his face anymore, but he hears him clearly,

"Yeah," he lets out in a slightly stern voice. "Yeah, we can wait. I can wait even longer."

Genuinely, Jungkook doesn't understand why Seokjin sounds that way or why he gets up from Jungkook's bed without looking back before walking right out his door, maybe closing the door a little too hard– maybe harder than Jungkook would like to hear.

Is he upset with Jungkook?

What's going on?

Did Jungkook say something wrong? All he wants to do is wait a little longer to sort out the mess they're in. He doesn't want them to stress out during the rest of their comeback or any other schedules– just like Bon Voyage coming up in a few days.

What does Seokjin expect from him?

He couldn't possibly be upset because of the situation, right? It's something he said, right?

What did Jungkook say wrong?

———

The boys stop questioning Jungkook's dream or who his soulmate is because not only does he tell them repeatedly that it's nothing, nobody, but Seokjin cuts in one last time and tells them all to drop it, to leave Jungkook alone.

They don't ask anymore.

Recording for Bon voyage is coming up tomorrow and they've been informed of it, told to get ready for filming and that they'll be packing tomorrow evening. Jungkook doesn't really have as much energy as he'd like, but he notices that the others are excited to be going on vacation and it makes him lighten up a bit. It makes him smile a little more.

"This is the best part about work," Taehyung says loud and proud as he wraps his arm around Jimin, his soulmate. "We get to go on these trips and I get to be with you guys. What're we gonna do first, Jiminie?"

Jimin smiles as he scrolls through his phone– he's been looking at things to do in Malta. "First thing I'm going to do is sneak in a kiss with you, if I can."

"Aw, Jiminie~"

Something stirs within Jungkook as he listens to the two chatting away.

It seems so natural, the way Taehyung and Jimin act towards each other. Jungkook and most everyone else had sensed it from miles away– They're totally going to be soulmates. Even they had said it many times before here recently, when they found out and started officially dating each other.

So how come Jungkook and Seokjin didn't feel or act the same way?

How come Jungkook didn't know that Seokjin was his soulmate before he dreamt of him? Why don't they act like they're stupidly in love and why don't they hold hands and cuddle up to each other like Taehyung and Jimin do?

How come they aren't in love?

How come Taehyung and Jimin get it? They understand each other more than anyone. They knew exactly how they felt and who'd they be with. They knew they were soulmates for so long now.

How come they can be in love and be together but Jungkook can only sit and watch them, thinking about how much he'd love to love his soulmate as well.

And he isn't crazy! Jungkook loves Seokjin a lot!

But how would a different type of love work between them? Jungkook never once thought about the possibility of being in love with one of the members or one of them being his soulmate.

Could Jin love him like that?

Could he even love him?

It's not that he's totally jealous of Jimin and Taehyung– except he is. How did they go about it so easily? How did Taehyung sleep in Jimin's arms the night he knew he'd dream of someone, manifesting his love into Jimin's soulmate-dream on that night? How were they so confidently soulmates?

Jungkook thinks it isn't fair.

He should be able to confidently love his soulmate as well. Would Seokjin want that? His love?

Would Seokjin hold his hand? If Jungkook went up to him and asked him for his love, would he be as confident as Jimin and Taehyung? Could he truly be as confident in something like that? Would he accept Jungkook? Kiss him? Hold him like they do in the movies?

Or...

Could Jungkook do those things in return? Could he love his soulmate? He has to, right? They're meant for each other, aren't they? Are they?

"Jungkookie?"

He flinches into reality at Taehyung's voice. "Huh?" he wonders. Taehyung and Jimin have their eyes set on him in the same exact way. They're always in sync. Soulmates.

"What are you thinking about over there?" Jimin asks him, worry evident in his voice. "You're zoned out again."

Jungkook clears his throat and avoids their eyes. "Nothing. Just bored."

"Nothing?" Taehyung sounds more worried than Jimin. Jungkook doesn't have to look at him to know he's frowning or pouting as he speaks. "You say that a lot ever since you turned twenty-one, you know."

It's not a question, but a statement. All Jungkook can do is shrug.

He'll tell them what's going on after he talks to Seokjin about what to do. For now, he stays silent despite the worry from the others. He'll keep quiet.

———

Bon Voyage goes by slowly.

Nothing seems to go right, but Jungkook fights through filming. It just feels so bad because hardly a few weeks ago, he and Seokjin had been on Run BTS, had been on a team together, and had cheered and played together like they typically would.

But here, behind the scenes and when the cameras are off and they're separated into different rooms, Jungkook can't stop himself from thinking about Seokjin– his precious soulmate.

He has a room to himself and too many thoughts on his mind. It's dangerous to be left with his thoughts alone, but he also sort of feels relieved to not be sharing a room with Seokjin at least. He'd probably feel suffocated if he were.

It doesn't help that Seokjin sends a photo to the group chat of the drink he's having– the same one Jungkook had earlier. It doesn't help when Seokjin sends a photo of the amount of shots he took a few days later. Unwanted worry sinks into Jungkook's heart as he realizes his soulmate is out in an unfamiliar place; dunk, judging by the way he types messages.

Seokjin is out there getting drunk with nothing but a cameraman by his side and all Jungkook can do is sit on the bed he's occupied for the last few days, the fresh hair dye on his head causing his headache to become much worse.

When he finally does see Seokjin later, he comes in drunk. He looks over at Jungkook who's in the kitchen for a moment, but averts his eyes as he also walks in to get a glass of water. He then quickly heads upstairs to his own temporary bedroom.

For the first time, he doesn't speak to Jungkook at all.

It's odd.

It's so odd that it leaves Jungkook leaving the kitchen from where he was about to make himself a cup of noodles; he suddenly doesn't feel hungry anymore. Instead, his stomach sinks and it doesn't feel good, not one bit. Seokjin never just avoids him.

Besides, Seokjin knew about this all along, so what's changed now?

Is it because Jungkook knows?

Are things really going to be this way now? He can't avoid Jungkook for forever like that. It has nothing to do with Jungkook's own feelings, the way his stomach feels tight and his heart feels heavy, or the way he thinks; it has to do with the fact that they're BTS. They're a group, friends, and family.

Seokjin can't ignore Jungkook like this.

The others will definitely notice if they haven't by now. Their armys will definitely start to question it and so will the media. Everyone will notice if Seokjin and Jungkook aren't how they usually are, which is goofing off and playing around.

Why can't they still be like that now?

It's not like Jungkook said anything bad, right?

He only told Seokjin that he wanted to wait until after their promotions, schedules, and interviews had passed by. Just a few weeks or maybe a few months– it shouldn't be worthy of ignoring each other over, though.

Jungkook would rather skip promotions than have Seokjin avoid him like this. He'd rather say to hell with everything and work things out with Seokjin first. He just didn't know that Seokjin would be upset like this.

Why is he upset?

———

Filming for Bon Voyage ends today and they're sad to leave, but also happy to return back home once they finally do.

Jungkook is especially happy.

But even back at home, they still have to film and do performances. Practice, recording Run BTS, going on talk shows, doing interviews, and singing up on stages to promote their album. Jungkook isn't complaining, though. He'd rather be able to focus on singing and interviews than accept the fact that Seokjin sits as far away from him as possible at any given chance.

But even if he tries to focus on other things, he feels the constant tug in his heart no matter what. His soul feels crushed and weighed down hard as his soulmate ignores him.

Maybe the tug in his heart has something to do with loss.

Has he lost his soulmate?

Is Seokjin ignoring him because he doesn't want him? Is he ignoring Jungkook and plans to do it forever now? Even after all they've been through? Could he seriously just drop Jungkook like this? Would he? Would Seokjin reject Jungkook that hard? Before he even has a chance to accept his soulmate?

Just thinking about being completely dropped by Seokjin hurts. Thinking about not only losing one of his closest friends, but also his soulmate– it hurts his heart to think so.

And it's that which makes Jungkook think about the situation over and over again as he's trying to sleep every night. Would he accept Seokjin as his soulmate: yes. Would he try his damndest to love Seokjin: yes, it wouldn't be hard, he concludes.

Seokjin is perfect for him, he shortly realizes. He realizes this the more he thinks so much about it.

Kim Seokjin is someone who Jungkook could not live without. He has such a unique personality, loves to make others smile, and he never fails to make Jungkook do so.

Kim Seokjin is one of the most handsome people Jungkook has ever seen– he's got a face sculpted by a god, such a nice smile that makes you want to return it, the most perfect body proportions, and Jungkook is positive that– if it ever happens– Seokjin's lips would feel like nice pillows against his own soft little lips.

The last thought makes Jungkook think more.

How would Seokjin be as a boyfriend?

Would he want to kiss Jungkook? Would they hold hands, confess how much they really like each other, hug lovingly in the middle of the living room for no reason at all, and melt into each other's arms? Would they cuddle up in bed, give each other kisses to the forehead and cheek, and talk all night until they fall asleep together, limbs tangled beneath the sheets?

Would Seokjin tease Jungkook with kisses– kiss him hard and deep to lead into something more? Would he treat Jungkook nicely in bed, sit up above him and look him in the eyes before giving him a lovely time? Or would he let Jungkook take control, let him on top of him and give his soulmate the best night of their lives? Or maybe he's kinky like Jungkook unknowingly is; maybe he'd give in to Jungkook's wants.

Jungkook shouldn't think these things, yet he does.

He thinks that maybe, since Seokjin is his soulmate, they'd do everything seamlessly. Seokjin and Jungkook would know each other by just one look; just like Taehyung and Jimin sometimes do.

Jungkook is excited to have a soulmate. He's waited for this moment for years, to dream of his perfect person. The person made for him.

So why the hell is he sitting in his room wishing he hadn't told Seokjin that they should wait and talk later? Why is he sitting in his room with a heavy heart and a constant pout on his face?

Why is Seokjin upset with him?

He just can't figure it out.

———

Today they have a schedule for an interview.

Most of them have dyed their hair back to natural colors now– Jungkook and Seokjin both have black hair. Something about that fact makes Jungkook feel a little more connected to his soulmate, even in the slightest.

They go through endless practicing and soundchecks for everything and more, it feels like. Many errors and mistakes come about and it just makes Jungkook's already sunken heart feel much weaker than before.

But today, something happens and his heart is weaker than ever.

They all wake up and head to where their interview will be, soon letting the stylists work their magic with them. Jungkook wears matching outfits with the members, all white, and he feels decently well as he's had some rice with meat earlier and a cold drink to satisfy him.

In the room where they're getting dressed, Seokjin is talking to Namjoon and Hoseok at the opposite end from where Jungkook's sitting. It comes as no surprise to him by now. Seokjin doesn't really say much to him and he hasn't for the past few weeks.

It's fine. Everything's fine.

What isn't fine, however...

The time comes and they finally make their way towards the guy who will be interviewing them. There aren't any fans or anyone else other than cameramen around. Nobody else except for BTS and the middle-aged man sitting alone, waiting for them to come out.

He smiles immediately upon seeing BTS, welcoming them and giving them a low bow. The members return the gesture and everything feels pretty nice to start with. The man is kind and has a pleasant smile.

Jungkook and Seokjin sit far apart.

It's whatever.

"How are you boys doing? I heard your album has broke records yet again."

It's Namjoon who answers first and Yoongi who follows, but Jungkook kind of just stares at the back of their heads and waits patiently for the interviewer to ask something he could possibly answer.

"What was the inspiration behind the album?"

Questions that they've answered repeatedly for the past few weeks. Jungkook could care less to answer it yet again or to hear the same thing repeated over and over by the other members. He sits in a daze and simply listens, letting the older members do most of the work.

Out of boredom, he turns to glance over at Seokjin just to see what he's doing, but to his surprise Seokjin turns at the same time and their eyes meet from over Taehyung and Hoseok who sits between them. Immediately, Jungkook averts his eyes and swallows away the heating of his cheeks as he's been caught peeking.

But Seokjin looked at him too.

At the same time.

It must be fate working against the two soulmates right now. Maybe Jungkook wouldn't mind, if they weren't avoiding each other so much. Maybe he wouldn't mind, if Seokjin would look at him like he used to.

"So, time for a question that I'm sure many armys would be curious to know." Any time an interviewer brings up a topic with an opener like this, Jungkook's ears perk up and his heart races– just like right now. He's still sort of terrified of questions like this. "You know, I actually have no soulmate of my own. I never dreamt of anyone. But you guys, your soulmates... what about them, huh? Anything?"

The question makes all the boys chuckle or smile nervously, all except for Jungkook, who stares hard at the interviewer as he thinks what a dumb question to ask. But also... Jungkook glances at Seokjin again and he sees the look in his eyes, the way Seokjin just tugs his lips into a weak smile.

"Ah," Jin answers his first question, "I don't think my soulmate wants me," he tells the interviewer. Not only does the older man's eyes widen, but the boys also turn to Seokjin with questioning looks. Hoseok openly doubts him, but Seokjin ignores it. "You know, you could be my soulmate. I wouldn't mind that," Seokjin tells the man.

Jungkook doesn't mean to let such a simple joke get to him, but his shoulders physically fall and his eyes sting a little as he stares over at Seokjin much more unashamedly now.

Why does he think Jungkook doesn't want him?

Why would he rather have some random interviewer over Jungkook?

Why did he say that? For everyone to hear? To armys?

Is he that embarrassed to have Jungkook as a soulmate?

Now, not only does Jungkook zone out through the interview, but he sees Hoseok give him a slightly knowing look before he feels a hand on his back, and Hoseok must see the way Jungkook's head falls, but not a single soul here could possibly imagine that Jeon Jungkook is trying his damndest to hold back tears right now.

None of the questions get answered by Jungkook– he refuses to talk because he knows his voice will break.

Once the interview is finally over, Jungkook is the first to stand up, the quickest to give his goodbye, and the fastest to leave the room– he also refuses to let anyone see how upset he is in fear of giving himself away.

It's dumb, he feels.

He shouldn't be upset.

He shouldn't wipe away tears in the bathroom, shouldn't feel jealous of Seokjin saying he'd be someone else's soulmate instead of his, shouldn't be upset over Seokjin not wanting him, and he shouldn't rush to the vehicles to be driven home first before anyone else.

Jungkook goes straight to their dorms and straight to the bathroom to take his shower before the rest get here. When he gets out of the shower, he sees that Yoongi and Seokjin are now home, talking to each other in the kitchen.

By the time he goes and puts his dirty clothes away, dries his hair, and puts on his skin care, Jungkook walks back out of his room to see that the two have started cooking. This time, after being ignored for weeks now, Jungkook inhales deeply as he steps up to the kitchen and eyes Seokjin.

"Hyung."

Both Seokjin and Yoongi turn to him, but Yoongi looks back at the meat he's preparing once he realizes Jungkook wasn't talking to him. Seokjin, however, locks eyes with Jungkook. The younger has to gulp to gather more courage to speak.

"Can I talk to you for a minute?" he finally asks.

Seokjin suddenly looks like he's never been asked such a question. "Um. Why? I'm helping Yoongi right now–"

"Hyung," Jungkook repeats, this time more stern. Yoongi minds his business, but the room goes silent as the soulmates simply look at each other. "I wanna talk to you. It'll only take a moment."

Slowly, Seokjin sets down the spoon he was holding and he tells Yoongi that he'll be right back. He follows Jungkook as the younger turns for his bedroom door and walks towards it.

He lets Seokjin into his room and even though he's anxious of the silence, he closes his bedroom door once they're both inside. It's too quiet and Jungkook doesn't know if anyone else is home, so he decides to speak low after he sits with his legs crisscrossed on his bed.

"Why did you say that earlier?" he asks as he looks up at Seokjin.

"Say what?"

A frustrated pout settles on Jungkook's lips. "Hyung, you know what I'm talking about. What you said about your soulmate earlier during the interview."

"Oh." As expected, Seokjin averts his eyes, but unlike what Jungkook was expecting, Seokjin rolls them and scoffs. "What? Why say the truth?" That I don't think my soulmate wants me?"

Why would he say that, though? Jungkook not once showed any signs of not wanting him, did he? "Hyung... You don't even know how I feel about all of this. It's just really difficult for me."

"Difficult?" Seokjin scoffs again. "Jungkook-ah, you don't know how I feel about all of this either. I just–" He sighs heavily to himself. "I've got dinner to cook, Jungkook. We can talk about this later, just like you asked."

And just like that, just as quickly as Jungkook had gotten him in his room, Seokjin opens the door and walks out.

Just like last time.

Is it Jungkook? Is it something he said? Is it because he doesn't know what Seokjin feels? Is it because he decided to wait or something? Because he never asked Seokjin how he feels about it?

How does Seokjin feel about him?

———

Jungkook sits around for days in pure confusion.

He doesn't know what Seokjin wants.

Obviously he should just ask, but Seokjin became much more intimidating after he walked out of Jungkook's door. Jungkook can almost feel the frustration from Seokjin– from himself as well.

It's all so tiring and Jungkook just wants it to be over with.

Every time he builds up the courage to ask Seokjin if they can talk again, it simply fails. It's times like these where he just wishes Seokjin would take it upon himself as the oldest to settle things with him. But Jungkook is the one who asked if they could talk later and he's respecting that.

Jungkook reckons his past self is dumb. They should've just talked then. He didn't want stress, so he instead multiplied it for no reason at all.

Seokjin goes about his days as normal, except he's somehow quieter than he was before. It drives Jungkook insane to see Seokjin act such a way. It makes himself grow quiet too, which is never good.

All it takes is one question from the members that makes Jungkook decide to end this whole issue:

"Why have you two been so quiet lately?"

It's Namjoon who asks them that and it makes the oldest and youngest both look at the leader in awe. For Jungkook, that awe masks the anxiety and withering of his heart as he thinks that maybe he's hurting the group just by being Seokjin's soulmate.

But they don't even know.

"I'm just really sleepy," Jungkook lies to Namjoon. However, he doesn't lie because he won't tell Namjoon or the others the truth soon, but he lies so he can talk to Seokjin about it first.

He will talk to him.

Later on after Namjoon questions them, Jungkook refuses to let Seokjin closing his bedroom door be the end of this conversation. Jungkook refuses to let Seokjin get away with closing himself in his bedroom to avoid him.

This time when Jungkook builds up his courage, he keeps letting it build up. If Namjoon notices that something is wrong, that means everyone else in the group most likely has as well.

Jungkook won't let this hurt the group.

He stands in the living room and inhales, exhales, lets his heart stop racing for a moment just to have it start racing even faster as he walks towards Seokjin's bedroom. Suddenly the walls of their home feel much smaller as he lets his feet carry him forward.

Once he gets in front of Seokjin's door, he simply stops.

It's difficult, but he has to do it. He has to confront the situation or else it will get worse and worse. Seokjin is behind this wall and all Jungkook has to do is knock on the door and say, "Hey hyung, I'm ready to talk now."

It's a simple thing to do.

So why does he feel so scared of doing it?

There's too many things he's worried about; whether Seokjin is upset or angry with him, whether or not the talk will go as bad as the last one had, if Seokjin will just ignore him, if things will go so badly that he'll just run off to his room and cry, or if Seokjin even wants his soulmate in his bedroom, in his sight, or even connected to his soul at all.

As if it's magic or Jungkook's soulmate felt his uncertainty, Seokjin's door clicks and swings open, revealing the oldest so effortlessly.

It was that easy.

"I knew it," Seokjin mutters to himself. His voice is slightly unstable as if he hasn't talked at all these past few days, but Jungkook knows he has. His voice is weak and Jungkook doesn't really know why. Maybe it's for the same reason that Jungkook's heart is weak. "Why are you standing in front of my door, Jungkook?"

Jungkook's shoulders visibly slump. "I.. I'm tired of not understanding what it is you want from me," he mumbles to the floor.

There's a silence between them that weighs even heavier on his shoulders. Seokjin merely stares at him and Jungkook can feel it. Jungkook can feel it, as he's got his eyes locked on the floor, that Seokjin has his eyes set hard on the top of his head.

"Jungkook-ah." The silence is broken. The weakness in Seokjin's voice is broken as well; this time it sounds lighter– not in a happy way, but in an exasperated way that makes Jungkook's lips fall into a frown. He doesn't like it when his hyungs sound this way. "You don't understand what I want because you didn't want to talk about it."

"I- I didn't want to worry about it while we were doing promotions–"

He shuts his mouth as he hears another door click from across the dorm. Seokjin sighs and opens his door more, inviting Jungkook in as he just leaves the door open and goes to his bed.

Jungkook slowly steps inside and closes the door, shuddering as he turns around to Seokjin already staring back at him– sitting from the edge of his bed.

"Hyung," he mumbles. "I don't understand what I did wrong. Is it me? Is it because you don't want me as a soulmate? I- I didn't mean to be. I had no idea it would turn out this way."

Seokjin's gaze only gets darker as his eyebrows crease together. He's throwing daggers at Jungkook. "Are you kidding me? Jungkook, that has nothing to do with any of this. You are the most precious person to me– ever. You know that, don't you?"

Jungkook has always felt precious to the members, but Seokjin treats him like he's his baby. Like he's his precious doll.

Seokjin used to make his lunches for school, used to cook meals filled with love for them alone, still pats Jungkook's head and hugs him like nobody else does. He still plays around with Jungkook, never fails to make him smile, and never fails to encourage or compliment him when the chance is there.

Still...

"Then why are you upset with me, hyung?"

Seokjin falls onto his back, hitting the mattress and sighing out as he instead stares at the ceiling. "I waited for years," he suddenly states. Jungkook is silent as he leans against the door, not knowing what to feel or where Seokjin is going with this. "Can you imagine how I felt when I dreamt of you back then, Jungkook? It was way too weird back then, when I hardly knew you. I couldn't tell anyone because I was too scared to. Especially you. And after all these years, I started to realize why you were my soulmate. But..."

For some reason, Jungkook knows what he wants to say– that Jungkook didn't feel the same way all this time.

"Can you imagine the frustration of waiting so many years for you, only to be told to wait more? To wait longer? To see that you weren't excited at all?"

"Hyung." Jungkook steps away from the door and makes his way to the bed as well, laying down beside Seokjin. "What about me?" he asks. Seokjin turns to look at him, a bit puzzled by the question. "You had years, hyung. I've only had a few weeks to process, yet I'm here talking to you about it, aren't I?"

He feels a soft nod on the bed.

"I'm sorry," Seokjin quietly tells him. Jungkook turns his head to really look him in the eye, undoubtedly melting at the sight of Seokjin's soft brown eyes which also soothe an apology to him. "I wanted to give you time, but I don't think time is going to do much. I don't think you could ever like me like that."

Gently, Jungkook presses his forehead against Seokjin's and after what seems like forever, he smiles at the older.

"I've waited for my soulmate for years, hyung. And I don't have a single doubt for the possibility of me liking you like that. You're precious to me too, you know?"

Seokjin shakes his head just as gently. "I don't want to force you into something just because I want it."

"You're my soulmate," Jungkook reminds him. "If that means just as much to you as it does to me, then you should know I'm serious when I say: shh." He holds his index finger up to Seokjin's plump lips and giggles as the older furrows his brows in confusion. "Ask me on a date before you go saying nonsense about me not liking you, because I do."

Seokjin pouts, his lips pressing against Jungkook's finger even more.

"I was supposed to be the one who asks you on a date. Not you asking me."

"Then ask me."

Jungkook brushes the hair out of the older's eyes and melts yet again as Seokjin's lips tug into a little smile.

"Just go on a date with me, you dork."

———

Their first date will be today.

Jungkook confidently wears a pair of black skinny jeans and a white, silky button-up tucked in to show off his waist. He isn't exactly sure why, but something told him that maybe Seokjin would appreciate that choice.

He feels real nice and he even got a fresh haircut for this date– to look amazing for his soulmate.

When Seokjin got to his apartment, he texted him to open the door and boy was Jungkook surprised when he did. Seeing Seokjin all dressed up was nice too, seeing how they wore similar fits, but what was really nice was the surprise in Seokjin's hand.

A single red rose.

Red roses are common for soulmates to give each other– red is a color that represents love and the rose flower itself is such a nice little gift to give anyone. Jungkook wasn't expecting Seokjin to show up with one but it for sure brought the brightest smile to his face and a sweet, calming sensation over his heart.

"Hyung, you didn't have to."

"Yes I did," Seokjin declared as Jungkook carefully took the rose and sniffed happily at it.

"Well.. I love it. Thank you."

He ended up putting it in his kitchen and making his way back towards the door with Seokjin so they could officially start their date.

Their date would be simple and they had talked about how they'd go about things. Seokjin told him it would be just like they normally hang out except he wanted to try something new: flirting.

Normally, Jungkook is unfazed.

However...

"You look really pretty, Jungkook-ah," Seokjin says as he wraps his arm around his waist and gently brushes his fingers along the hem of Jungkook's pants– right where the shirt is tucked in. It feels nice to have that touch and compliment, but now Jungkook thinks about it as romantic and not platonic.

Of course, he feels a little shy as his soulmate holds him and says such a thing; and more times over, as well. Seokjin continues making him shy throughout their entire date out at a cute restaurant.

"I've thought about asking you on a date for a while now, but I thought it seemed a bit weird considering you didn't know."

"You're so cute when you eat so well."

"I guess I've just had a crush on you for a while. Can't help but pay attention to my soulmate after all these years, you know?"

"I'd love to just admit to everyone that you're my soulmate. I've wanted to tell someone for ages, but now I get to experience only the two of us knowing. Isn't it a little fun that way?"

Jungkook sort of chuckles at that. "Hyung, I can't believe you waited that long." But Seokjin just smiles at him.

"It was worth waiting for."

Their date goes almost too well and Jungkook knows it isn't so normal for other people. He knows of so many people's awful dates and awkward moments, but he and Seokjin know each other so well that all they do is smile and talk through their dinner. They're soulmates, after all.

That's the best part about this date, Jungkook believes.

It's with his soulmate.

Some people have no soulmate at all, some people's soulmates are dead before they ever get to meet, or some of their soulmates completely ignore fate and ignore their dream.

But Jungkook got Kim Seokjin.

Honestly, he wouldn't want anyone else.

"Hyung," he says as they're sharing a dessert. Seokjin glances up at him and hums, so Jungkook continues, "I really wanna go on more dates with you. I-If that's alright with you. If that's something you'd want too."

Seokjin smiles big as he holds up some cream from the dessert for Jungkook to eat, which he does. "I'd love to date you, Jungkook. I'd give anything to finally be with my soulmate."

Jungkook's heart melts upon hearing that. "Me too, hyung."

He'd give anything for this, exactly.

The date goes well and Seokjin takes Jungkook back home, the two standing in front of the apartment door in silence. Jungkook is silent because he doesn't know what to say– he wonders about how dates in the movies end with a kiss or something more.

"Well." Seokjin clears his throat, his lips pursing in the way that makes little dimples appear for a split second. "Guess we can message about another date sometime?"

Jungkook wants to invite him inside, to tell him that they shouldn't be awkward now, but even he feels a bit shy.

"Is that all, hyung?" he asks.

Perhaps Jungkook is a sucker for romance. Perhaps he loved this date, wouldn't want anything else, and perhaps he'd love it if Seokjin pecked his lips to tell him goodbye.

But perhaps he feels his cheeks burn and he inhales sharp as Seokjin takes a step towards him and lifts his hands. Even if Jungkook wished for something like this, it doesn't stop him from being shocked as Seokjin's warm hands cup both of his cheeks. It doesn't stop him from holding his breath as Seokjin looks him in the eye, asking for permission.

Jungkook barely nods his head, afraid of moving too much, and Seokjin slightly lowers his head just before the younger's eyes flutter closed– and when Seokjin's lips meet his, Jungkook melts into the soft, plump flesh. He melts into the lingering kiss, the warmth of his soulmate against him.

Seokjin kisses him slow and easy, long to savor the moment.

Just when Jungkook lifts his hand to hold onto Seokjin's shirt and pull him in for more, the older detaches his lips and pulls away, the kiss ending just under Jungkook's fingertips.

"Hyung," Jungkook is breathless as he speaks, "do you just want to come in with me? And do that a hundred times more? Please?"

Seokjin chuckles and Jungkook loves the sight of Seokjin's smile, his red cheeks, and his red ears. He can tell Seokjin liked kissing him and Jungkook loved it as well.

So, Seokjin does end up staying with Jungkook for the evening. He does end up kissing Jungkook more and more, randomly as they watch a drama or play video games like they usually do.

Jungkook gets the joy of having his soulmate's kiss.

It's the best feeling he could possibly imagine.

———

The next step to do was to tell the other members about them– them being soulmates and now dating.

Taehyung, Hoseok, and Jimin all looked like they would pass out from such a shock, and how they've kept it from them for so long now. Namjoon was extremely happy for them and hugged them tightly, told them how proud of them he was, and how adorable it is that things happened this way. Yoongi had the same shock as the first three, but it turned into the biggest smile ever and the nicest of compliments.

All of the boys offered compliments.

"You two have never been able to live without each other. It makes sense, honestly."

"I'm so happy for you guys!"

"You two are so adorable! I can't believe you kept your date a secret. Have you kissed yet?"

"Hey! Don't ask them questions like that! But... have you?" Hoseok giggled as he questioned. "I wanna know now. I know you have. You're both glowing glowing." He attempts to wink.

The two had to go through endless questions and they didn't hesitate to at least hold hands around the boys, but refused to kiss every time Jimin or Taehyung would tease and ask them to.

Telling the others went well and Jungkook was so incredibly happy.

He's happy because he and Seokjin are boyfriends now. He's happy every time he sees Seokjin, he gets to run up to his boyfriend and wrap his arms around him into a tight hug every time. Gets to share a big smile with him.

He's happy with Seokjin.

It's on a late night months later when Jungkook is being held close by Seokjin while they're watching a movie that Jungkook just turns to his soulmate and his heart feels full by merely looking at him; it's on this night with the TV shining over Seokjin's gorgeous face and his focus is taken away as he feels Jungkook's eyes on him; it's on this night that Jungkook just smiles up at his boyfriend and pecks his lips.

Seokjin is confused, of course, but not for long.

"Hyung."

"What is it, baby?" Seokjin asks as he turns down the volume of the movie. He looks with uncertainty at Jungkook as if something is wrong, but Jungkook just pecks his lips again, trying not to smile.

He ghosts against his lips. "I love you," he whispers to his soulmate.

He can hear Seokjin take in air and hold his breath, but the older eventually reaches for Jungkook and pulls him closer until Jungkook is climbing over his lap and straddling his thighs on the bed. Seokjin presses his lips back to his, pecking him a few times on the lips.

"Is that what you wanted to tell hyung?" he asks, then kisses Jungkook's cheek as well once he nods his answer. "You're so damn cute, Jungkook. Hyung loves you too, you know?" He pecks his lips, lingering before he pulls away and looks Jungkook in the eyes. His eyes are dark and serious, yet still so easy to melt into. "I'm in love with you. So in love with you."

Jungkook feels like melted chocolate as his boyfriend lifts a finger to his chin and brings him in for another kiss.

This time they don't stop.

Seokjin's tongue licks out against Jungkook's lips and laps over a few times more, tasting and sucking gently at his skin. Jungkook loves it when he does this. He loves Seokjin's plump lips pressed against his own. He loves everything about kissing him.

But he's never gotten the chance to love Seokjin's touch.

He's never felt Seokjin's fingers slip under his shirt and never felt the pads of his fingers tickle at his smooth skin. He's never shivered like this before, feeling his boyfriend graze up along his waist and pull him closer for more kisses. They've never come so far.

"Hyung.."

Seokjin trails his kisses from his lips to his jaw, slipping his tongue out over Jungkook's neck as he settles there instead.

It's instinct, the way Jungkook's body reacts, the way he feels himself instantly shift from soft and cute to horny and eager. They've never had sex– Jungkook is a virgin who wanted to save himself for his soulmate if he could and now that his soulmate is kissing and sucking at his neck, Jungkook can't help but tug a little on Seokjin's hair and raise his chin for more kisses. He can't help but want to rock his ass against Seokjin's crotch.

"Is everything okay, baby?" Seokjin asks against his hot neck, licking up from the very bottom to the top, just under his ear and earning another shiver from him.

"Never had anyone do this to me before," Jungkook mutters, already a bit in a daze. "Never felt so good, hyung."

Seokjin continues, kissing and sucking into his skin, taking in his earlobe and swirling his tongue around it just to make Jungkook finally give in and rock his hips back and forth, begging for more.

"H-Hyung, let me make you feel good."

Jungkook rocks his rips against his boyfriend, hoping to get him hard and hoping to make him feel good. Seokjin does curse and grip tight onto Jungkook's constantly moving hips, but he soon holds even tighter to slow him down.

"Baby, I'm the one who's supposed to make you feel good."

But Jungkook just shakes his head and rocks his ass against Seokjin's crotch more, his cock growing hard as he feels Seokjin's doing the same below him. "No, hyung. Let me make you feel good first."

And he does, to begin with.

Seokjin's head falls back against the headboard of the bed and he moans as Jungkook circles his hips and gets him hard. Jungkook feels like he's achieved it all, having his boyfriend let him do this, but then Seokjin gets a grip and looks up into Jungkook's eyes, his gaze stern.

"Let me help you first, baby," he says. Jungkook ignores him and instead kisses his lips, holding back a smirk as Seokjin moans into his lips. But Seokjin pulls away and to Jungkook's surprise, Seokjin pushes him to the side and flips over on top of him, right in between his legs. "Stop being such a brat and listen to hyung."

Jungkook squirms a little beneath him as Seokjin rocks his hips, their dicks rubbing together through the thin fabric of their pajamas. Jungkook is hard in his pants and especially feels turned on as Seokjin calls him a brat– yes, he is one, he admits.

"I- I want hyung to feel good though."

"And I will." Seokjin continues dry humping him, both moaning as he leans into Jungkook's throat and kisses him there. "Hyung's gonna make you feel good first though, okay? Need my innocent little baby to be fingered well for me, don't I?"

Needy for just that, Jungkook bucks up into Seokjin's hips and whines as he thinks about being touched, being fingered by him. "O-Okay, please. Hurry up, hyung. Wanna ride your dick."

A sudden smack hits Jungkook's ass and he gasps, his dick twitching as the sensation hits him. "No. I'm gonna go slow, you brat. We have all night. Slow down, you needy little thing."

"I- I want you, hyung. Wanna feel you."

"I know," Seokjin lets out in a reassuring and sweet tone as he pushes his fingers under Jungkook's shirt again. "I know you do. And I promise I'll fuck you, baby. Let hyung make sure you're ready first, okay?"

Jungkook pouts in return. "Okay.."

He lets Seokjin slip his t-shirt off of him and throw it to the side. The air is cold against his skin, but Seokjin's palms are warm as they grab ahold of his waist and his lips are even warmer as they attach to his skin, trailing kisses up his tummy and to his chest.

A soft gasp slips from Jungkook's lips as he feels Seokjin's against his nipple, sucking ever so slightly on it. He brushes his fingers along Seokjin's hair and tugs just a bit to make Seokjin moan against him.

"Okay baby," he says as he sits back on his knees and simply holds his hand up and prods his fingers against Jungkook's lips. Naturally, Jungkook's lips part and he hums as Seokjin allows his fingers into his mouth, allowing the younger to coat his fingers with his saliva as he sucks and licks at them.

Seokjin's fingers feel heavy on his tongue and Jungkook's eyes flutter closed as he loses himself to the sucking and licking.

It doesn't take long, however, before Seokjin slides his fingers out and a string of saliva breaks off from them.

"Pants off for me, baby."

Immediately, Jungkook obeys, deeming this moment not the time to be a brat. Now he's too needy and eager for more, so he takes his pants and underwear off– it's not like they haven't seen each other naked already, but Jungkook still feels incredibly naked as his hard dick is now free and Seokjin lifts his legs to rest over his shoulders, then lowers his hand to his ass.

Jungkook's head pushes against the pillow once he feels the cold saliva and gentle touch of Seokjin against his hole, circling around teasingly to ease him into his touch.

"Being all good now that you're the one getting touched, huh?"

He bucks up into nothing as Seokjin pushes his middle finger through. The stretch is small, but it's the fact that it's Seokjin's touch and the heat of his boyfriend that has him moaning out.

"More," he mutters, trying to rock his hips down onto Seokjin's finger as it slowly pumps in and out of him.

Seokjin shakes his head slightly. "Impatience gets you nowhere. Do you wanna be spanked again or do you want hyung to take care of you?"

"I want you to fuck me. Like, now though."

"Fine," Seokjin huffs out. He pushes another finger into Jungkook and speeds his pace a little, earning breathless moans below him. "Such a needy little virgin you are. Can't be patient for nothing."

Jungkook can be patient, he just doesn't want to. There's no way he could be patient with his boyfriend's fingers in him, with him fully clothed and not pounding inside of him right now and through the night yet.

"Hyung," he breathes through near-choked swallows. "I- I can take more, I promise. Just- Please, another finger."

It's so dirty, the way Seokjin spits onto his fingers and pushes past his rim once more, fingering him open with three fingers without hesitation. Jungkook closes his eyes and takes it in, hardly even noticing how his leg falls from Seokjin's shoulder and the older catches it mid-air. All he can do is sit in pure satisfaction and pleasure as Seokjin continues.

"W-Want your dick," he mumbles nearly incoherently, in such a daze that Seokjin taking his fingers out is the only thing that brings him back to reality.

He lazily opens his eyes and watches as Seokjin releases his legs and strips his own shirt off himself. His shoulders are as broad as ever, as well as his chest. His body is built so perfectly and Jungkook loves that so much about his soulmate– he's built just how he likes.

Seokjin is perfect.

He undoes his pants as well and tugs them down, revealing the bulge in his underwear that makes Jungkook shudder. Just thinking about having Seokjin fuck him makes his leaking dick twitch over his tummy.

"You want it?" Seokjin asks as he pushes his boxers down and his cock is revealed, stroking it slowly as he looks into his boyfriend's eyes. "Ready for hyung to fill you full? Want it, baby?"

Eager, Jungkook nods his head and pushes his hips up a bit into nothing. Seokjin is completely naked and so is he– Seokjin is just right there, right in the perfect position to fuck into him.

"Come on, you know I want it."

Seokjin hums as he lazily strokes his dick. "Sure do. Never thought I'd have you begging under me like this."

"Fuck me. I wasn't begging."

"Yeah?" Seokjin raises Jungkook's legs again. "You will be, though."

He makes Jungkook cross his legs over his back, dismissing the pleased hum leaving his boyfriend as he lines the tip of his dick to his hole. Jungkook locks his legs tight around Seokjin's waist and places his hands on his shoulders, holding back a moan as Seokjin pushes into him slowly.

The moan does slip, though, as Seokjin rocks his hips back and forth into him and as his length stretches around his hole.

"H-Hyung," he breathes heavily as Seokjin fucks up into him. "Please."

Seokjin starts slow with his thrusts, but he suddenly goes silent as he speeds up his pace– other than letting out breathy moans and a few light curses. Jungkook is the same, having all the words stolen from his mouth as he's being filled so full for the first time by his soulmate or anyone at all.

It sends a constant pleasure through him and he grips tighter onto Seokjin's shoulders, letting his lips part in endless moans as he goes deeper and harder. He whines as Seokjin clings tight to his thigh and reaches between them to finally touch Jungkook's dick– to circle his fist around Jungkook's achingly hard dick to jerk him off.

"I-I'm gonna come," he warns, so Seokjin just groans and keeps fucking up into him faster. He jerks Jungkook off until he's got heat coiling in him and he's twitching under his hold, coming all over himself and Seokjin's hand with the neediest mewl he could muster.

"Good." Seokjin grits his teeth together, jaw clenching as his head falls. "So good, Jungkook-ah. So good for hyung."

He presses his face into Jungkook's neck and sucks at his neck, moaning as his throbbing cock starts spurting cum inside of him, moaning as he comes hard inside of his soulmate.

Jungkook feels like he's in a whole other world as he feels Seokjin's cum filling him full. He never knew he needed this and he's sure as hell happy that it's Seokjin he's doing it with. He wants nobody else.

Seokjin pulls out of him and they're both in a complete daze, but Seokjin makes sure to lean in and kiss Jungkook on his cute little lips. Makes sure to kiss Jungkook's cheek and tell him how amazing of a job he did.

"Just lay right here and I'll go get something to clean you off, okay baby? I'll get you some pajamas and come back soon. Just one moment."

Quickly, Seokjin rushes to get Jungkook clothes and a wet cloth, but all Jungkook can think about is how cute his soulmate is for running out of the room completely naked to try and take care of him first. All he can think about is how much love he has for Seokjin.

After he's all cleaned up and they're both in their pajamas, Seokjin lets Jungkook under the blanket and crawls right in beside him, immediately wrapping his arms around his boyfriend and kissing his shoulder.

"I love you," he promises him. "So much, Jungkookie."

Jungkook feels warm from Seokjin's hold and Seokjin's undeniable love. Perhaps Seokjin is his first real love, but he'll also be his last. He doesn't think it'll ever fade for a second. What he and Seokjin have is something special.

They're soulmates for a reason, after all.

"I'll love you for the rest of my life, hyung," he mutters sleepily. Seokjin kisses the nape of his neck and then snuggles close behind him.

"I will too, baby. I'll love you forever."
