In a world split between selfish humans and tough werewolves, Jeon Jungkook was born a part of the latter— thank God.
It's not that humans were the worst or anything, or that they were always only worried about themselves and not their family or friends, or that they were unnecessarily rude, or trying to put their noses in other people's business; okay, maybe Jungkook was glad to be a werewolf and not a part of them.
It's just that wolves are so much simpler, it seemed.
When they keep to themselves— their packs— they truly do. Wolves stay in their own territory and learn when not to do some dumb shit towards other packs. They pick a spot and stay close to it, not bothering anyone else, especially not other packs. Even so, if another pack or a stray werewolf needed help, there were packs willing to take them in and willing to try and help them find shelter or a friend. After all, Jungkook's pack was one of those willing to help; they had before.
And they'd do it again.
It was a late-summer day that Jungkook's six-person pack had all sat around in their usual meeting spot— they gathered around in their alpha pack leader's house, which was their ordinary place to hang out in general.
Their land was small for only the six of them; a small gathering of houses isolated from the big cities and any humans or even werewolves. They were by the lake, a long road separating them from society. Their three little houses were enough for their small pack and the woods they lived close to were perfect for hunting if they needed to.
But rearrangements had to be made that summer night after their meeting, thanks to Min Yoongi.
Yoongi, the only other alpha of the pack, had suddenly come to their alpha leader with a dilemma; his omega friend from the city was in need of a place to stay.
After lots of convincing from the others and extra convincing from Jungkook— he was the only real person affected that night because the pack was going to put the omega friend in his and Taehyung's little omega's home that they shared, forcing the stranger into his territory. His home.
Taehyung was affected as well, but he evidently didn't mind because he was simply willing to please the alphas and the pack. Jungkook was not as willing. However... he eventually agreed to it.
The omega friend surprisingly wasn't an omega that Yoongi was courting or planned to mate either. He was truly just a friend from work or something and Yoongi had somehow become close enough to the omega to want to take him in as well. He wanted to help him.
Kim Seokjin.
Jungkook had never heard the alpha talk about anyone named Seokjin before, but he trusted and loved the older hyung and packmate of his enough to accept the fact that another omega would be staying with them for a little while— so he told.
He had trusted his Yoongi hyung's trust in this omega and he'd let his own judgment settle whether it was okay or not later.
But when the time finally came and Yoongi had invited his friend to come over to their land, Jungkook had gotten a bit worried with the realization that a stranger was on his way to their little area— their home.
Everything was his, his, his. He was afraid that he wouldn't get along with another omega or that he'd get jealous of one. Jungkook very easily gets jealous and pouty at the tiniest of things; he even gets greedy and wants every pack member's scent on him at any and every second he can. Everything was his, including his packmates.
He just wasn't so sure how he would treat this new person. He at least had known omega Taehyung before he joined their pack. This Seokjin guy, he knew nothing about at all. What if the omega tried to take over?
It just didn't feel amazing.
But something like a flame flicked on in his brain the moment Namjoon opened the door soon after it was knocked on, revealing the omega— possibly the most gorgeous man Jungkook had ever seen.
Sharp facial features, soft eyes, perfect eyebrows, the most cutest and adorable awkward smile he gave the alpha as he greeted him for the first time; this Kim Seokjin guy looked perfect from head to toe.
Unlike what Jungkook thought he'd do— be jealous and huff and puff in disapproval like a brat— he instead shied behind Hoseok, the beta he'd always found comfort in when he really needed to get away from stress or anxieties. This was no stress or anxiety, but an act of nervousness. The more he looked at the gorgeous man, the more his breath was stolen.
"Welcome to our home, Seokjin-ssi."
It was Namjoon welcoming him, giving off his nice, natural earthy scent. Any other time, Jungkook would totally ease into that scent and let his eyes flutter closed in pure bliss, but today he ignored it.
He was focused on the omega's lovely scent. Seokjin's scent was like- really sweet. Jungkook loved that.
He'd always been sensitive to all smells, so that's mostly why he'd always been greedy for his pack's amazing scents, but he'd always found joy in his own scent or Taehyung's soft scent as well because he lived alone with the omega and he'd grown used to the homey scent of theirs mixed together. Like cinnamon and flowers.
But Seokjin.
Jungkook wouldn't mind having that wonderful scent of something similar to fruit— that was it— Seokjin smelled like a bunch of fruits mixed together, so amazingly good that Jungkook could just walk right up to him and take it in.
He didn't do that. He's not crazy.
But the fact that the scent was so weak because he looked a bit nervous to walk into a stranger's home had Jungkook wondering just how far his scent could go.
"Hi.. I'm so sorry to interrupt your day like this." Even his voice was like honey. He was perfect.
"You aren't bothering us," Namjoon was quick to assure him. "You need a place to stay and anyone that Yoongi hyung trusts, we're willing to help. Right guys?" He turned to the others, giving them a pointed look to which they all nodded, some saying Of course and Yes, alpha.
Jungkook simply nodded. Didn't say a word.
"Well. You'll be staying in the omegas' home. We have three small houses here. Hoseok and Jimin live in the beta house, Taehyung and Jungkook live in the omega house, and Yoongi hyung and I sleep here. We've split it this way because none of us are mated. We stick to this as of now."
Seokjin nodded, pursing his lips the entire time the alpha spoke. "So I'll stay with Taehyung and Jungkook? Who... are they..?" He glanced around at the pack, trying to distinguish their ranks.
Shit.
Jungkook had to introduce himself to the gorgeous omega.
"I'm Tae!"
Only some of the pack acknowledged Taehyung's hand raising to greet the man, but as Hoseok moved to the side for Jungkook to be seen and he gestured his hand out towards Seokjin for their youngest omega to welcome him in, all eyes suddenly turned to the omega.
Including Seokjin's.
Jungkook wished that Hoseok never moved— his personal blocker betrayed him almost immediately.
Seokjin tilted his head as silence grew between them. Quickly, Jungkook straightened his shoulders and held his hand out to him.
"Hi. I'm Jungkook."
The omega stepped right up to him and took his hand into his, their eyes meeting as Seokjin shook it, then the two bowed together. "Jungkook-ssi. I'm Seokjin." His hand was a bit cold from being outside at night but Jungkook didn't care. He liked it.
He also liked that he was much closer to the scent than he was before because wow, could he take it in. Seokjin smelled like a fruit bowl and he wanted more, more, more of that. Nearly wanted too much.
"You smell nice." Jungkook froze as he realized what he'd just blurted out. "I mean you do! You... yeah." There was no saving himself.
Out of the corner of his eye, he could see Jimin and Namjoon both rest their faces into their palms and Hoseok snickered in amusement.
Seokjin smiled, though. "You do too. You smell like roses." Jungkook wasn't sure if roses or his flowery scent was good to Seokjin personally, but he said he smelt good as well and that was more than enough.
"Thank you." The smile that tugged Jungkook's lips felt almost like a sin. He already liked the omega.
Seokjin hummed to him. "You're so sweet. I can't wait to spend some time with you— with all of you, if that's alright?"
"That's alright," Jungkook was quick to say. He'd accidentally cut off whatever Yoongi was about to say to his friend but he didn't care. Seokjin was too gorgeous to care about anything else right now. The true sin here was that; his beauty.
"Great. Well... I'm glad that you guys are kind and willing to let me stay. Thank you again."
Yoongi finally got to speak. "I'm just glad you're here instead of anywhere else. I'm sure my pack will love having you here for a while."
Jungkook already did.
He had completely forgotten how poorly he believed he'd feel about the omega.
"And you're welcome," Namjoon added on. The wolves surrounding him looked up at him as he spoke. "We're really glad to have you here, Seokjin-ssi."
——
Jungkook was absolutely positive that the pack was loving Seokjin's stay after the first week and a half. The omega gave off the most loving scent and he kept saying how grateful he was to have been welcomed there, but what really got the pack was the unexpected jokes and teasing he'd kept doing with Yoongi. The omega and alpha were getting along pretty well and Jungkook had no idea that Yoongi had even known someone outside of their pack like this.
They joked around like they'd known each other for years and Jungkook wouldn't be surprised if they did. He'd never seen his Yoongi hyung acting this way with anyone outside of them. It was sort of odd, but amazing how well Seokjin brought smiles out of the alpha.
He brought smiles out of all of them, though.
From corny jokes, silly faces, funny stories about Yoongi that they hadn't heard— their first dinner as a pack, plus Seokjin, wasn't as awkward as Jungkook thought it would be. He knew that he kept underestimating Seokjin, but hell, he didn't know him; he sure as heck wasn't expecting him to be so playful and funny on top of being gorgeous and smelling so good.
Kim Seokjin was like a package deal. Judging by his constantly uplifting personality, it must be an expensive package. He was worth gold and anyone who might've kicked him out or left him to hang all by himself in a world of cruelty was insane. Jungkook wasn't sure why Seokjin was in need of a home, but he gladly opened his door for him.
"I guess I'll sleep with Jungkook and Seokjin-ssi can have my bed," was what Taehyung had said, but Jungkook immediately offered his bedroom instead, hoping the omega's scent would drown that room out of his own scent and he'd eventually go back in and be met with it later on after Seokjin left— which was what he planned to do.
Namjoon and Yoongi had both told him that he could stay for as long as he needed, but Seokjin stayed quiet, probably at a loss of what to do. He'd be leaving at some point, Jungkook knew, but after over a week of having him there, he already felt he'd be a little disappointed if he did leave.
He'd have to make the most of it.
So, after building up courage for that entire week, Jungkook finally felt he was brave enough to go and try to become friends with the other omega.
As he walked up to his own bedroom door, the fruity scent hit him like a truck and his legs felt weak. Knocking on the door was a different story, though, because as the door slowly pulled open, the scent was heavier than ever and Seokjin was standing just in front of him, their eyes almost leveled— meeting. It was so much.
Seokjin's eyes were dark brown and so inviting as they beamed at him; he smiled at the youngest.
"Ah, hi Jungkook-ssi. Do you need something from your room?" he asked, to which Jungkook shook his head no. A bit confused, Seokjin tilted his head at him. "You don't? What do you need then? Want me to leave or something?"
Again, Jungkook shook his head, but he was quiet as he spoke, "I just wanted to see what you were doing. Is that okay?" Seokjin's eyes glistened with pure joy back at him.
"I was wondering when you'd come say hi to me, Jungkook-ssi." He nodded his head back towards Jungkook's bedroom— where he was staying. "Come on. You want to hang out? Is that what you're wanting?" Finally, Jungkook nodded, glad that the older seeked what he wanted. "You're so shy. There's no need to be. I promise I don't bite, and if I do, it'll only be because you asked me to." He winked at Jungkook and he thought he'd imagined that last part, but as Seokjin laughed a bit, he realized that it was just a joke.
A joke. Of course.
Because if Seokjin bit him, Jungkook would probably lose his mind. He'd lost his mind even then, with the thought of being bit by Seokjin— that's so hot, please.
Jungkook shuddered the thought away. "I-I'm not shy!" he declared, though it seemed useless as the other chuckled. "I do want to hang out. I feel like... we should, right? You're staying in my bedroom, so the least we could do is get to know each other— so long as you don't bite me, we'll be okay." He hardly meant the last part.
"Well, I think you're right." Seokjin, instead of going back into the bedroom, stepped by Jungkook and began walking towards the small kitchen. The younger omega followed like a sheep in his own home. "Maybe since it's raining, we could make lunch and just chill with each other. Do you like the rain?"
Nodding, "I love the rain. Taehyungie hyung and I used to play in it a lot. Rain is refreshing— for me and for the planet, I guess. What do you want to eat? I'll make it for you," Jungkook said as he quickly made his way to the center of the kitchen. "You're our guest. I'll make you something."
Seokjin stood in front of the kitchen, looking over at the younger. "Um. We could just eat ramen, then. It's only lunch time." Jungkook smiled at the mention of ramen.
"I've been craving noodles all morning."
"Hey, so have I!" Seokjin was smiling as he sat at the dining table, right next to the window. It brought an even bigger smile to Jungkook's face, knowing that he and the older had been wanting the same thing.
The rain was pouring outside, hitting the roof of the house with the most amazing sound of pitter-patter. Seokjin reached up at the blinds to the window next to the table and he opened them, the view of the grey clouds and thick raindrops being their scenery as Jungkook grabbed a pot to cook their ramen in. The soothing sound of rain and the nice atmosphere alone felt like Seokjin— nice and comforting.
"I'll cook you the best ramen," Jungkook muttered to himself. Hearing Seokjin's soft hum, he figured he'd been heard. That was okay though. "So Seokjin-ssi, are you liking it here so far? I heard Namjoon hyung really likes you. He said you're really leveling to our pack— that you're really unique and he liked that. I know I can't say much because this is our first time really talking, but I think hyung's got a point, from what I've seen."
Jungkook never usually talks much, but with Seokjin sitting there and the slightest bit of nervousness, he just kept going. The other omega didn't seem to notice or mind if he did notice Jungkook's rambling.
"Your pack is really responsive with me," Seokjin told him after thinking about it for a bit. "I thought maybe I'd seem a bit too much for your pack because Yoongi's so calm and hardly reacts to me unless he's in the mood to, so I thought I was about to come into a hard, imitating pack or something, but you guys are the opposite. I'll admit that I was a bit scared, but it feels good being here. Feels... great."
Hearing that felt amazing. Jungkook's pack is diverse and welcoming— he'd always loved that about them. With Seokjin living with their pack, the diversity hit the max. Seokjin is grounding, and he's a lot like Hoseok.
Hoseok had told Jungkook that he and Seokjin got along really well and Jungkook could see why; Seokjin jokes around and Hoseok falls into every little word he says, laughing his ass off. They all do. They're all responsive to Seokjin's personality.
"That's why I wanted to hang out," Jungkook said as he stirred the pack of noodles he'd put into the pot a moment ago. "We haven't really talked and that's crazy because we live in the same house— you're sleeping in my bed! We should've already done this."
Seokjin nodded in agreement. "Well, I was a bit nervous to ask. You're the quietest out of everyone. I thought maybe you didn't like me, so I uh, I asked Yoongi about it and he told me you're normally that way, that you'd probably come around."
That snitch.
"I'm not as quiet recently," he pouted as he spoke. It's true, though! "I was just a little shy to talk to you." Quickly, he turned the stove off and brought the pot of finished ramen to the table before Seokjin could respond. "I'll get bowls. One second." He was quicker to get two bowls and chopsticks as well, bringing them to the table. Seokjin gladly accepted them and Jungkook gladly sat across from him, shivering as he sat by the cold window, rain still pouring.
They got their lunch and immediately started eating— Jungkook cooked three packs of ramen for the two of them, already planning to cook dinner for them later as well. Seokjin thanked him as they continued and Jungkook brushed it off, playing cool.
"Is it good?"
"Oh yeah," Seokjin assured him, then slurped more noodles. "You made these perfectly. I cook a lot, but I think I'd hand it off to you before me anytime." Jungkook grinned, giggling at him.
"No, no. I'll have to try your cooking sometime."
The older nodded. "Anytime you want me to, I can cook."
Jungkook had met many people in life. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. When he first met Namjoon, the alpha was huge and his thighs were as well, something to really admire in an alpha. He liked how perfect of an alpha he looked. He admired Namjoon for being welcoming and so kind, but also so alpha-y.
But meeting Seokjin was different than that. Meeting Seokjin was like seeing the most gorgeous person he'd ever seen, his breath catching in his lungs, his heart skipping a beat, maybe going a little mindless upon seeing such beauty. It was a different type of admiration that Jungkook felt with Seokjin— like a love at first sight type of feeling.
The more time that passed with Seokjin living with them, the more the admiration grew into a fuzzy sensation in his tummy. Every dinner they'd have as a pack including Seokjin at the table, the more nice things he'd heard the others say about Seokjin, the more he'd catch himself stealing glances at the older omega, and now, as he finally got to sit one-on-one with him, Jungkook knew what that fuzzy feeling was.
He was so screwed.
"The rain is really calming. I like it," he started more conversation, not wanting it to end. Seokjin nodded his head.
"I like it too." Seokjin pushed his empty bowl away from him and set his elbow on the table, resting his chin in his palm as he looked out the window. The rain was endless. "Makes me want cuddles. Doesn't it make you?" he asked without looking at Jungkook, who nearly choked on his last bite at the sudden question. He swallowed hard, then took a drink of his fruity drink— the drink smelled like Seokjin would taste.
"Cuddles? Yeah, cuddles as it rains. Sounds good. Mhm."
Wonderful, even.
Seokjin turned to Jungkook, their eyes finding each other as he did. They were both full and done eating, their bowls set to the side and conversation holding them in. It was Seokjin who broke eye-contact, looking back out the window.
Jungkook wasn't sure what to say.
He leaned back in his seat and glanced out the window as well, but as he stretched, his feet brushed up against Seokjin's and it gave him an idea; a very basic idea.
As if it was nothing, he leaned his chin on his hand just like Seokjin was doing and he peeked at the omega as he pushed his foot a bit further. They both wore only socks, Seokjin with fuzzy grey ones and Jungkook with regular white ones, not that that information was important. Jungkook's foot met Seokjin's soft sock and he gently brushed up against it, biting back his smile as Seokjin froze with his eyes widening like he'd noticed Jungkook's game.
It was something Jungkook could pass off as an accident if Seokjin were to get upset about it, but thankfully, the older pressed further into the touch as Jungkook tried to slip away. Their feet met again, this time with Seokjin rubbing gently against him. Jungkook bit so hard onto his bottom lip that he felt it would bleed— Seokjin was playing footsie with him! Seokjin's fuzzy sock made Jungkook tingle as it slowly slid up and just under the bottom of his sweatpants, brushing against his leg.
Seokjin turned to him again just as he let his foot fall back next to his. Their eyes met again, Seokjin's with a sign of kindness in them, including his soft, kind smile. He looked too kind to be rubbing his foot against Jungkook's right then; it was almost like he was playing it off.
"I'm really glad you asked to hang out today, Jungkook-ssi."
Jungkook swallowed the lump in his throat. Seokjin was playing it off. Something about that only made Jungkook want more, but Seokjin was the first to pull his feet away and begin gathering the dishes they'd messed up for lunch. As Seokjin got up and walked off with the dishes, Jungkook sighed quietly to himself.
"I'm glad I did too."
——
Jungkook was worried.
After nearly a month of Seokjin staying with them, he just kept on liking more and more about him. He couldn't stop thinking about Seokjin and he didn't care if they were both omegas. He didn't care if Seokjin wasn't a part of their pack. All he cared about was the fact that Kim Seokjin was so delightful and perfect.
At some point, he'd even started to get jealous because of this liking.
Jealous of Yoongi.
It just sucked. Yoongi is Seokjin's friend from the city and he knew much more about Seokjin than any of them. The thing that sucked was that whenever the pack hangs out with Seokjin, the omega is usually seated by Yoongi or talking to Yoongi or even talking about Yoongi. It's because they're friends, he knew, but still. A part of his mind thought otherwise.
Jungkook wanted to talk too. He wanted Seokjin to share stories about him too. He wanted to be noticed.
Seokjin and Yoongi had talked about how ignorant and useless humans were, and that Seokjin was originally living with humans who had no clue how werewolves worked and always thought about themselves over their friend, and the humans eventually kicked Seokjin out because they got annoyed with things about him— his heats, tendencies, the way his tail and ears would shed too much when he had them out to breathe. They complained so much and eventually kicked him out because he was a wolf.
Freaks.
Seokjin deserved to be there with them instead, in a pack of wolves who would accept him.
But they were all so accepting and had gotten so comfortable with Seokjin, which was truly hard for Jungkook to do. He was shy and a lot of the time quiet, so of course the others had gotten touchy and had gotten closer to Seokjin quicker than he did. It wasn't fair.
It wasn't fair that Jungkook was too anxious and too afraid to like someone so much.
He'd talked to Seokjin a few times since they first hung out, but it was never for too long and he kept not mentioning anything about their little footsie play and he kept not flirting like he wanted to try and do. By the time he'd get to it, he was sure that Yoongi would have him first.
They're perfect for each other, Seokjin and Yoongi.
Alpha and omega. They'd be the first mated wolves in the pack, if Yoongi went through with it, which was what Jungkook was afraid would happen. He was afraid he'd get crushed to see it happen, too.
If only he could court Seokjin.
... He could.
Jungkook could totally do that. Omegas are usually the ones being courted, but they've also done it before plenty of times. It was more common recently than ever, so Jungkook started to think that maybe he could beat Yoongi to it; not that Yoongi ever mentioned or showed signs of wanting to anyway.
But Jungkook could totally do it.
How the fuck would he, though? Seokjin showed the slightest sign that he'd maybe take interest in Jungkook, which was surprising on its own, but Jungkook had no idea where the hell he'd begin to try and court an omega. And what if Yoongi got upset with him? What if his pack got upset with him?
He'd have to run it by them first and he knew that if he mentioned it to them, it would be hard to be subtle towards Seokjin— Jimin and Hoseok would probably tease him every time he's near Seokjin if he told them he was interested like that.
Oh God, what if they're interested in him too though?
Too many worries. He had no clue what to do other than worry about it.
——
His timing couldn't have been worse. Jungkook knocked on the alphas house door, finally having the courage to ask Yoongi about whether he could court Seokjin or not, and as soon as he was invited into the alpha's house he could smell that beautifully sweet fruity scent and he saw Seokjin standing behind Yoongi, curious with his wolf ears out and pointed forward.
"Ah, Jungkook-ah, hi!"
"Why are you here?" the alpha asked, ignoring his friend. Seokjin huffed and Jungkook nervously laughed.
"Hi hyung. Yoongi hyung, I wanted to uh, talk to you. I guess it'll have to wait for later—"
"It's just me and hyung here. What is it?" Yoongi asked. Jungkook could've punched the alpha in the face for not magically reading his mind. Dummy alpha.
Jungkook waved him off. "It's okay, hyung. Later."
Something flashed in Seokjin's eyes as he looked back and forth from Jungkook to Yoongi. His scent grew a little bitter, which made both Jungkook and Yoongi frown at him, but Seokjin quickly spoke, "Oh, I'll leave. I was just about to go anyway."
Yoongi furrowed his eyebrows as Seokjin slipped by him, probably hating the bitter scent just as much as Jungkook did. Seokjin left without another word and Yoongi didn't question him because he instead waited for the omega to have walked far enough to the omega's house to say anything.
"Hm," the alpha hummed as he opened his door wider. "Weird. Did you do something to him?"
Jungkook's lips parted in shock as he stepped inside. "Of course not!"
He was afraid that Seokjin's scent became so bitter because he knew what Jungkook wanted, to be alone to talk with Yoongi. He was afraid Seokjin was bitter to have another omega alone with Yoongi.
Fuck.
"Namjoon hyung isn't here?" he asked. Yoongi shook his head and Jungkook sighed to himself. "Hyung, I wanted to talk to you about something important." As they sat down on the couch, Yoongi simply nodded for him to continue. Again, Jungkook took a deep breath and let out a slow sigh. "Does Seokjin hyung like anyone?" Yoongi shook his head once more, thankfully. Jungkook was terrified he'd say yes to that.
"Why?"
"Well." He crossed his legs, sitting criss-cross on the couch. "Hyung, I'm asking you first because he's your friend. Would it be alright or too much if I tried to court Seokjin hyung?"
Yoongi's eyes widened and his lips parted into a gasp. "Holy shit, I wasn't expecting that." Jungkook chuckled nervously and Yoongi chuckled as well. "Jungkook-ah, you're the best person I know. I never thought you'd want an omega— thought you had a thing for alphas— but sure, go ahead. Maybe talk to Namjoon first, though."
Namjoon first; no problem. Hell, Yoongi was the one who made him so anxious. He was just glad that the alpha hadn't planned on courting Seokjin himself, because he'd worried about it for weeks.
"Thanks hyung."
Yoongi actually seemed pleased that Jungkook wanted Seokjin in that way. "Good luck, Jungkook-ah."
——
It was nearly two months after Kim Seokjin had been invited to stay with the pack that Jungkook stood at his own bedroom door with intentions to start courting by doing something nice for the omega.
He'd talked to only Namjoon and Yoongi about this, positive that the others would ruin it for him— because if anyone knew how important it was to him, it would be the alphas of the pack. They were both surprised, but both agreed and congratulated Jungkook on finding someone he thought was special enough to take so seriously.
He knocked on that special person's door.
Maybe it would look a bit weird to suddenly be wanting to court him. They'd hardly talked but only a few times but they live together and Jungkook had seen more than enough these past two months to know he'd love to keep Seokjin there and he'd love to have Seokjin.
The door clicked, then opened.
Seokjin tilted his head, confused as he realized it was Jungkook knocking on his— the door so suddenly. "Jungkook-ah?" he questioned.
"Hyung." Jungkook stood straight and puffed his chest out a bit to look more confident and put-together for Seokjin. "Hi. I noticed you liked chicken last time we cooked it with Yoongi hyung, so I asked him how he made it and I cooked it. It's ready."
The older omega blinked, not sure of what to say to him.
"What?"
Jungkook exhaled the breath he'd been holding, his chest no longer as full and broad as he was trying to keep it. "I made you chicken, hyung," he let out, a bit defeated. He meant to be smooth and it wasn't working at all.
"You made me food? Why?"
He didn't want to mention courting just yet. First, he'd see just how Seokjin would react with him trying to show signs of want towards him and then he'd talk to him about it if the reaction was good.
"I just wanted to be nice and make you some chicken, hyung. You don't have to eat it if you don't want to—"
"No, no! I'm coming to eat," Seokjin said a little too quickly. He ran his hand through his hair and left the bedroom door open as he stepped towards the younger. "Thank you. You really didn't have to."
Yes, he did.
"No need to thank me. I hope you like the chicken. I tried to make it just like hyung did."
They walked to the dining table and Jungkook watched as Seokjin's eyes widened at the great amount of food laid out on the table for him— Jungkook had to swat Jimin's hands away from it earlier and he refused to tell him why he was making such a huge dinner.
"This is amazing, Jungkook-ah," Seokjin muttered. His scent smelled so great as he walked by and took a seat at the table. "Did you really make all of this? How long have you been cooking in here for?"
Jungkook shrugged. "Don't know. Doesn't matter." He went to the fridge and got them both a drink out, then soon sat across from Seokjin, smiling as he set the drink down for him. "Lots of chicken for you, hyung. Lots of side dishes too."
"Just for me..?"
He nodded. "Eat up."
And oh, did Seokjin have a meal that night. He ate so much that it nearly made the younger feel full just watching him. Even better, he kept telling Jungkook how delicious it was and how grateful he was that he'd made such a feast for him.
Though Jungkook could eat just as much, he ate much slower than he normally would. He wanted to make sure that Seokjin got all that he wanted and was satisfied with the meal.
He clearly was satisfied. Thankfully.
It warmed Jungkook's heart to see the other omega so pleased and to have that amazing scent give off to him to show him how happy he was with everything. He'd done well.
But that was just the first thing he wanted to do. He had many more ideas and he wanted to make sure that satisfied smile stayed on the older's face for good.
——
Jungkook bought Seokjin a pretty coat.
It had been raining a lot recently and cold weather also started coming in. He'd seen Seokjin wear coats of all kinds, so he went shopping online to find the perfect color, perfect reviews, perfect look, and perfect size for Seokjin.
The coat was a medium grey, which Jungkook had seen on him before, and he loved the way the color looked on him. It was a long coat with perfectly placed pockets and it had a solid fabric on the inside, no pattern to it. It was a simple gift and he'd gone to the store to buy a gift bag and a little bow to decorate the bag with.
Seokjin was wide-eyed and very excited as Jungkook presented the gift bag to him.
"For me?" he asked.
Jungkook nodded as the omega took the bag and placed it on the picnic table— they were outside of their house and were sitting at the table because they'd finally gotten a day where the weather wasn't cloudy and rainy. The three houses surrounded them and even though they were all alone outside, he felt like the others were watching them.
They weren't.
Seokjin opened the gift bag and made the most delighted noise as he took the coat out and held it up to look at it. It was just long enough for Seokjin's body.
"This is so amazing! Thank you so much, Jungkook-ah."
He wrapped his arms around Jungkook and squeezed tight, the younger frozen to the seat as he was hugged. It was safe to say that Seokjin liked the gift.
——
The next thing Jungkook got Seokjin was a pack of gummies because he'd seen him eat them before. Then he cooked him another meal, bought Seokjin a pair of decent slippers to walk around in, and he'd tried his damndest to hang out with Seokjin or talk to him more if he could.
Seokjin started getting comfortable with him and vice versa, which was amazing for them. But... with the way Seokjin started joking around with him and teasing him playfully, Jungkook felt like Seokjin didn't realize that he was showing romantic interest in him.
Maybe the gifts and cooking weren't enough for him.
Jungkook needed to flirt, but it was hard to. Or maybe he should've just told Seokjin that he was courting him to begin with. He'd only made it difficult for himself.
It wasn't until weeks after Jungkook started courting him and the pack members started questioning Jungkook that something had to be done because Seokjin mentioned to Namjoon something about maybe going back to the city and living on his own to "get out of their way".
Immediately after hearing that, Jungkook went to the closest shop— which was pretty far away— and he came back home that night with shaky hands wrapped tightly over a bouquet of mixed red, white and yellow flowers. It was hard as hell to find flowers at that time of year and they were expensive, but he didn't care.
Tonight, he'd tell Seokjin.
It was awkward, though. Jungkook walked into his house thinking Seokjin would be in his bedroom, but he was caught with flowers in his hands, staring back at Seokjin and Taehyung, who were sitting on the couch and watching TV together.
"Flowers?" Taehyung immediately questioned.
Jungkook bit his tongue to not curse at him. Seokjin looked up at him with the prettiest, biggest, and most curious eyes. Those eyes fell to the flowers and since Seokjin was very animated with his expressions, it was very noticeable, the way he frowned. That was... good? for Jungkook.
"Yeah," Jungkook muttered, "hyung— Seokjin hyung." Confused, Seokjin's eyes widened a bit. "Um. Could you come in here with me for a minute?" He pointed to his own bedroom, where he hadn't gotten to sleep in a while, but he didn't mind sleeping with Taehyung.
Seokjin didn't say anything as he got up from the couch and made his way to the room with Jungkook tagging along. When they stepped inside, the scent of strawberries, bananas, apples— fruit— hit him. He closed the door and slowly breathed it in as Seokjin turned to him.
"Flowers?" the older questioned as he sat down on Jungkook's bed, eyeing the pretty boquete. "Did someone buy you flowers?"
Jungkook gulped. It felt like a watermelon was stuck in his throat as he held out the flowers, right in front of Seokjin. "They're for you. Hyung, if it's alright, I'd like to start courting you," he said quickly, in one breath, and without looking Seokjin in the eye. Seokjin gaped at him the more he spoke.
"You—" Seokjin's mouth shut as Jungkook urged him to take the gift. He did take it, instantly breathing in the flowers and smiling down at them. But he glanced back at Jungkook in confusion. "Me? You want to court me? Why would you want to do that?"
"Well," Jungkook inhaled, "you're funny, really nice, and extremely gorgeous. Every time I'm near you it feels harder to breathe and I can't stop thinking about you whether you're right by my side or out in the city. I- I like you. That's why." It was very blunt. Very scripted; Jungkook said it in his head for days.
Seokjin seemed to not believe a word he was saying. Yet, by the end of Jungkook's last statement, the omega smiled up at him.
"You seriously like me too?"
Too? Jungkook's wolf ears pointed straight towards Seokjin, wondering if he'd heard correctly. "Too? Like you too? Like- also?" He heard Seokjin chuckle behind the flowers, hiding his smile with them.
"Yeah? I kind of had a feeling that you were courting me already or that you liked me too, but I didn't want to get ahead of myself. I actually thought you liked Yoongi until... now, I guess."
Jungkook mentally cursed to himself. "I thought you liked him! I was courting you— well, not officially. I'm a mess, oh my gosh."
Seokjin shook his head. "You're not, you've done a great job so far."
"You didn't even realize what I was doing."
"I told you I had my suspicions!" Seokjin reminded him. "And it's okay. It's totally okay to court me. I'd love to be with you." It was such a heart-melting thing to hear straight from Seokjin. He wanted Jungkook back and though Jungkook thought it was a possibility, he didn't think Seokjin would like him that much.
"I'll try my hardest for you, hyung."
The older's eyes slowly closed and the smallest smile tugged at his lips. "I won't have to worry about that." His eyes reopened and met his, so sincere and kind. "I know you'll do well, cutie."
Fuck.
——
The rest of the pack found out that Jungkook was courting Seokjin and they went absolutely nuts over it.
Namjoon and Yoongi already knew so all they could do was watch as Jimin and Hoseok were dramatically talking about how grown up and how adorable it was that Jungkook was courting someone. They both went all pouty and huffed once they realized that Jungkook had already told the alphas about it. Taehyung was pretty silent about it, but he was smiling along with the others, nodding at everything they'd say, agreeing that it was precious.
Seokjin's ears turned red when it was mentioned to him and Jungkook couldn't stop smiling every time.
The courting was going so well.
It became much easier to flirt because Seokjin was always the one to initiate it and they'd tease each other or even sometimes cook together and feed each other. Jungkook loved every single bit of it and by the end of every night, Seokjin would be smiling and that's all that mattered.
They convinced Seokjin to stay with them for longer and he agreed immediately, telling the pack that he appreciated and loved them all so much for helping him out. It was Jimin who mentioned Jungkook to him, "You can't leave him, he'll probably cry to us every night if you do." Jungkook got payback on him by stealing some of his food later on, but Seokjin simply smiled at Jungkook when Jimin had said that to him.
And so, it pretty much went without saying from then on: Kim Seokjin was a part of their pack, especially if he was going to be with Jungkook.
He was going to be with Jungkook.
Ho-ly-fuck.
——
After so much courting and endless flirting, it was Seokjin who deemed it enough; he wanted more, apparently.
They'd agreed on no intimacy for now— no kissing, scenting, things like that. It was Seokjin who had set that rule, but it was also Seokjin who threw it away one night after so many weeks of having it set.
They were resting on Jungkook's bed, casually talking to each other to pass time before the night came. Seokjin was lying back on the bed and Jungkook was sitting criss-cross and leaned over, staring hard at his tablet as he doodled on it with his touch pen. They were comfortable, simply relaxing together.
The bed dipped a bit behind Jungkook and he hadn't even realized it until he saw Seokjin inch closer out of the corner of his eye. Seokjin had sat up beside him, slowly closing the distance between his nose and Jungkook's shoulder— he nuzzled into the younger, the touch and his intense scent making Jungkook shudder.
"Hyung?"
Seokjin hummed as he was called out. "I want you. Really like your scent, Jungkook-ah." Jungkook loved the way he spoke to him.
"Your scent is like a drug," Jungkook muttered back as he let go of his pen, letting it drop onto his tablet. "What is it you want, hyung? I'll give you everything if you ask me to." As he spoke, Seokjin burrowed his face into his neck and Jungkook tilted his head to the side, letting his eyes fall shut as the warmth dug in close to him.
"Wanna be yours," Seokjin told him. His voice was light and low. Dreamy. "Want you to be mine, too."
It sounded almost too good. It felt too good, for sure. Jungkook's mind was racing with every gentle touch and he hadn't even fully been touched yet— it was merely Seokjin nuzzling into him and he was already finding it hard to breathe.
"I'll be yours, hyung."
A soft kiss pressed to his neck and he shuddered again, a hum in his throat as Seokjin began rubbing against him. He was soon rubbing his scent all over Jungkook and fuck, it smelled amazing so close.
Seokjin scented him, letting their sweet omega scents cover each other. At some point, he brought Jungkook closer and allowed the younger to begin scenting him as well, to which Jungkook was glad to do. He fell into Seokjin's neck and took in the fruity scent, almost wanting to whine at how good it was. He honestly sort of hated to cover it with his own scent, but he knew Seokjin wanted to smell like him in return.
After he felt the scenting was good enough, he finally leaned back and met eyes with Seokjin for the first time in a while. The omega's eyes were lit bright like stars were in them as he gazed at Jungkook.
"Come here."
Seokjin pulled him in by his sweater and closed the gap between them, both of them letting out sighs of relief as their lips met for the first time. His lips were soft and plump, something Jungkook hardly knew if he could handle— Seokjin's lips were perfect to kiss and he never thought he'd get to, but Seokjin kissed him back with just as much passion and he lightly moaned into the kiss just as much as Jungkook did.
Their tongues met, hot and needy as they deepened the kiss. Jungkook's hands rested on Seokjin's neck to pull him closer, fingertips brushed against his hair and his moan needier than before.
The slightest whiff of slick scent hit Jungkook's nose and he gripped onto Seokjin's hair, tugging and earning a moan from the older. Seokjin pulled away from his lips.
They breathed hard against each other's mouths, hardly backed away. "Jungkook-ah," Seokjin muttered, sounding breathless as their eyes met. His pupils were dilated a bit and Jungkook could still smell that slick. It made him get worked up as well. "Jungkook, you're so much."
So much, huh?
He tugged harder on Seokjin's hair, pulling his head back and exposing his neck more. "I think you like it though, don't you?" Seokjin whined out in response.
"Love it. Want more."
"How much more?" he asked. Seokjin's slick scent became much stronger and Jungkook felt himself start slicking up as well, clenching over nothing but the warmth.
"Fuck." Seokjin pressed his face into Jungkook's shoulder, whining. "Anything. Everything. I just want you."
Jungkook pulled Seokjin onto the bed, setting his tablet to the side, and they both laid down facing each other. Slowly, he slotted his thigh between Seokjin's and leaned in, connecting their lips as he began to rock his thigh against the omega's crotch.
His scent was strong, lust mixed with the purest of sugary-sweet slick as Jungkook led their kiss. Soon, they both took off their pants and were rutting against each other, slick and their scents filling the room as their dicks slid together over and over. Jungkook whined a few times too, wishing he was being filled instead of empty right then.
He slid his hands from Seokjin's hips to his back and slowly, his fingers slid closer and closer to his ass, giving enough time for Seokjin to reject it but he only moaned instead.
He used his middle finger to rub circles on Seokjin's rim, the heavy slick coating his finger the more he did. Seokjin pulled away from the kiss, letting out the prettiest noises. But soon, Seokjin's hand reached around Jungkook as well, easily pushing his finger into the younger's hole. Jungkook moaned at the quick touch, thrusting closer against him and pushing his own finger between his slicked hole as well.
They fingered each other messily, both hard and clenching over fingers. Too good; it felt too good as Seokjin massaged and bent his fingers inside him. After three fingers, Jungkook finally gave in.
"Let me ride you, hyung. Can I?"
Seokjin took his fingers out and Jungkook did as well, the older already turning over onto his back and tugging onto Jungkook's hips to haul him over onto his lap. Jungkook gladly straddled Seokjin and wasted no time— he stroked Seokjin's dick a few more times and lined up to him, then sank down slowly onto his dick.
As he slid easily inside of Jungkook, Seokjin moaned. "So tight." He gripped tight onto Jungkook's sweater as the younger clenched his hole over him, making it even tighter as he reached the bottom.
Jungkook began bouncing effortlessly on Seokjin's cock, slick covering the older's skin as he rode him. They were a moaning and whining mess, both scents flooding the room. Seokjin's wolf ears and tail were hidden but Jungkook's wasn't, his tail raised in the air and out of the way, like he wanted to present himself as he was fucked.
So, Jungkook took presenting himself to a new level– he turned around on Seokjin's lap, sinking back down onto Seokjin's dick and riding him the other way around, his tail raised and his ass presented to the omega as he went slow with his moves.
"Hyung," he breathed out, "come on, do something. Spank me. Pull my tail. Show me how good you are, omega."
The moan that left Seokjin was different, much needier, and Jungkook felt precum leak inside of him. Seokjin lifted his hand to Jungkook's fluffy grey tail and pulled at the base, the slight pain making Jungkook shudder down onto his dick. The more Seokjin pulled, the faster he rode and the more he felt close to coming.
His dick was throbbing and he knew Seokjin was close, but so was he.
"Good omega," he moaned out, to which Seokjin responded with both hands gripping his hips, jerking the younger down as he thrusted up, his hips stuttering as he began filling him with come, one last loud moan on his lips because Jungkook clenched his hole over him again. "You like that, huh? Omega filled me so well. Did so good for me."
Jungkook stroked himself as he sat on Seokjin's dick, clenching over and over as his head fell back. He twisted around to see Seokjin and with the fucked-out look and sweat glazed on Seokjin's gorgeous face, Jungkook started to come, his thighs tense and hole tight on Seokjin's softening cock.
It felt incredible, feeling so full as he spewed come all over himself. "God, I wanna fuck you too, hyung."
Seokjin groaned at the idea of that. "I'd give anything for you to."
Jungkook chuckled at him as he pulled off and laid down next to him. Seokjin wrapped his arms around Jungkook and pulled him close, nuzzling into his neck.
"Maybe later," Jungkook muttered, smiling contentedly to himself. "We need to shower, hyung. I'm filled with come and we're covered with slick." Seokjin pouted and whined against his skin.
"I want to cuddle though."
"Exactly." Jungkook ignored his own words and wrapped his arms around Seokjin's back. "We need to shower so we can cuddle and maybe I could sleep in here..?"
They laid there for a while with those words in mind, but eventually, Seokjin huffed as he forced himself from Jungkook's hold. "Fine, fine. Let's go shower then."
And so, they both showered together, shy as they helped wash each other off. After they were done, Seokjin helped Jungkook into his clothes— he brought the omega his own hoodie because Jungkook mentioned how much he loved his scent, so Seokjin pulled one of his hoodies over the omega's head to let him sleep in. Jungkook loved the scent and the fact that he could wear Seokjin's clothes.
When they got back into the bed, they rubbed their scent all over each other again. Jungkook's bed smelled like Seokjin from where he'd been sleeping in it and it was like heaven that he was in— especially now.
At some point while he cuddled up against Seokjin and pressed kisses to his shoulder and neck, the older started to buzz, purring under his hold. Jungkook's heart skipped a beat the moment he realized just how comfortable Seokjin was with him.
Very.
"Hyung?"
Seokjin's purring stopped abruptly. Jungkook's breathing stopped for a second as well. He didn't want the purring to go away, he didn't mean to startle the older. "Yes, Jungkook? What is it?" he asked. Jungkook pushed away the thought about his purring.
"You'll stay with us, right? You'll be mine... right?"
"Oh wow," Seokjin let out. He sat up a bit and looked down at Jungkook, their eyes meeting. "I'm staying here, baby." Slowly, he leaned over and placed his lips on Jungkook's forehead. He pulled away and kissed his cheek as well. "You know I'll be yours. There's no need to ask at this point. I'm all for you."
With those words in mind, Jungkook grinned happily up at him.
"You'll never regret being with me. You'll never regret being with us."
Again, Seokjin kissed him, except this time it was his lips; the softest peck that lingered for a bit. When he pulled away, he rested his forehead against Jungkook's and the younger giggled as their eyes met, the two looking goofy as they tried to look at each other so close, nearly crossing eyes.
"I know that, baby. Trust me, I know where I belong. You don't have to worry about me leaving you guys. Not even a bit."
It's where he belonged, there in Jungkook's arms.
