Great Grandkids

Growth, like sprigs on an old tree

Regeneration

Each unique but still one family

A renewal of memories past

Toasting each new addition

Gathering them around for stories

Regaling each eager little ear

As eyes grow round and wide

Never doubting what they hear

Days pass far too quickly

Kids grow up and leave

I find those sprigs now branches

Displaying their own leaves, and

Starting another generation
