I made this pattern by myself! This is my first pattern so if something doesn't work for you please let me know and I'll help you!

Materials
Worsted weight yarn in colors
Blue, yellow, black, white and gray
H hook (5mm)
Darning needle
Scissors
Stitch marker
2 black buttons or Velcro

With color one (blue)

Chain 21, SC in 2nd chain from hook and in each chain across, ch 1, turn (20 SC)
Row 2: 2 SC in first stitch, SC in next 18, 2 SC in last, ch 1, turn (22 SC)
Row 3: SC in each stitch, ch 1, turn (22 SC)
Row 4: 2 SC in first, SC in next 20, 2 SC in last, ch 1, turn (24 SC)
Row 5-11: SC in each stitch, ch 1, turn (24 SC)

Change to color two (yellow)

Row 12-17:  SC in each stitch, ch 1, turn (24 SC)

Change to color three (black)

Row 18-19: SC in each stitch, ch 1, turn (24 SC)

Change back to color two (yellow)
Row 20-29: SC in each stitch, ch 1, turn (24 SC)

For the first bib strap

Row 30: SC in first 10, ch 1, turn (10 SC) – this is the start of your first bib strap

Row 31: SC Decrease, SC in next 6, SC Decrease, ch 1, turn

Row 32: SC in each stitch, ch 1, turn (8 SC)

Row 33: SC Decrease, SC in next 4, SC Decrease, ch 1, turn

Row 34-54: SC in each stitch, ch 1, turn (6 SC)

Row 55: SC Decrease, SC in next 2, SC Decrease, ch 1, turn

Row 56: SC in each stitch, ch 1, turn, (4 SC)

Row 57: SC Decrease over last 2, fasten off leaving long tail.

For the second bib strap

Skip 4 SC after your first bib strap in Row 30. Attach yarn and SC over last 10, ch 1, turn (10 SC)

Do row 32-56 again

Row 57: SC Decrease over last 2, continue to SC around bib. when you get to color 1 (blue) at the bottom, you will want to switch to that color and continue to SC around the edge, switch back to color 2 ( yellow) when you reach the other side. 

If making a button closure: Chain 8 when you get to the top of the first bib strap (to create a loop), join back to the top of bib strap and continue finishing your SC around the edge.
Sew button on other bib strap for chain loop to connect to.

Or you can sew on velcro pieces. I like to use the stick-on ones. But used whatever kind you like!

Eyes (make 2 or 1 depends on if you want your minion to have two eyes or one)

Make a magic ring and work six SC in the ring (6 SC) (place stitch marker in your first SC. I don't use I stitch maker simply because I count my stitches instead.)

Row 2: work 2 SC in each stitch around
(12 SC)

Row 3: work 1 SC in the first stitch, work 2 in the next stitch, repeat around (19 SC)

Change to gray

Row 4: work 1 SC in the next two stitches, work 2 SC on the next stitch,
Repeat around (25 SC) finish off and leave a long tail for sewing your eyes to your bib

Use a black button for eye ball OR using black yarn Magic Ring, Make 6 SC in ring, pull tight and join. Sew onto your eyes.

Sew your eyes onto the black rows of your bib

For the mouth I just took my black yarn and surface crocheted a mouth
