It was a dark and windy on the night of Halloween in Maine. I was out doing a haunted trail with my friends Conner, Apple (aka isis), and Gage. Us four went inside to be greeted by the escorter through the haunted forest. I kept following him until he came to a sudden stop.

« Have you ever the the story of this haunted forest? » He said in a low spooky voice.

« I know! It was a dark and stormy night and the forest was spooky, to be continued... » I said in a dramatic voice with a Dracula voice.

          Conner and Apple giggled and the guide was also trying not to laugh but gage was terrified by my terrible voice. He cowered behind his hands and whimpered.

« No, » the guide said with a grin that reached ear to ear. « Some villagers wandered through here and some died and they say they haunt this forest, »

          Gage was terrified and started shivering and trembling. I tried not to laugh on how adorable he was. Conner and Gage were brothers, Conner comforted Gage, as soon as Gage calmed down, Conner dropped him and went along with his business.

« here are some of the suffering villagers that came through here, » he said turning his gaze at the creepy dying villagers.

« Oh! Hello! hows it going? » I said creeped out by how they're dressed and creeped out about their makeup.

« These villagers believe that their dolls will save them, unfortunately it never will or never has happened, » he said. « Let's move on, »

« Okay see you later guys keep it creepy! » Conner said waving them goodbye. The guide suddenly stopped and I didn't notice so I bumped into Conner and I stood there.

« What are you doing, » he hissed. « Your warm, » I said shivering my hands were freezing. He turned around and I can just see that color in his cheeks brighten.

« Aww, your blushing! » I said putting my hand on his cheek. « No I'm not! Also your hand are cold! » he said gently pushing me away. He turned around and kept on walking while I giggled.

« here is the scare crow, even though she really scares everyone actually, » the guide said. I looked at the scare crow and I bet five seconds later she opened her eyes.

« Woah! Hello there, how's it going? » I said backing up as she grabbed my wrist. I learned a trick on YouTube on how to get out of a wrist hold. So I did it and I think I hurt the scare crow. Good.

« Don't.touch.me. » I said through gritted teeth. The scare crow whimpered while Conner and Apple dragged me away.

« Next is the graveyard, » the guide said showing us the tombstones. Then he moved his torch to the ground and we saw dead people. When they moved forward I was scared of stepping on them so I took longer.

« Cyan hurry up, » Apple said. « sorry i just don't want to step on them, » and right after I said that I tripped right at the end of the river of zombies. Conner caught me and I was blushing.

« Aww, are you bwushing? » He teased. I started getting frustrated. But then he got his face so close to mine i felt his warm breath against my face. But, I made sure he saw in my eyes that I was going to murder him.

« Hey cyan I want to tell you something, » he said looking deep in my eyes while Apple was taking pics of us while fangirling. « You should have seen you face!! » Conner said through tears of laughter. To shut him up I punched him. « I deserved that, » he admitted. And we walked along.

The guide stopped and turned his torch and gaze upon a man with a bloody knife through his head.

« Oh um sir, you got a little something in your head, » I said pointing at his head. I went forward to see more up close. And he turned his head. I made it a game and started turning my head too mocking him. I guess the actor was bad because I saw his smile and his body jump with his breath of laughter.

We were moving on to a tent were two people were fighting and one had a knife while the other screamed. My eyes were baseballs as they bulged out of my head. I shivered and remembers they were actors. Then some kid ran through screaming and Conner got scared and jumped onto the side of me clinging to me with his nails digging into my skin. I shoved him off and kept moving.

There was a sign that said you did it and then some candy at the end. I took one and shoved more down my pocket. Apple looked at the activity sheet and she said aloud.

« OMG THERES A BONFIRE!!! LETS GO GUYS!! » then she dragged us all to the quote unquote bonfire. We all looked at it and were disappointed on how tiny it was.

« This is lame lets go, » Gage said. « We can all use my car to get to our houses! »

« That would be great, » I said.
