Akira POV


"Okay let's hear some ideas" I said in my most authoritative voice as I held the pencil in my hand.


Professor Shanks had given us the rest of class to discuss and work on the project. All the other groups were bustling around, mixing crazy things and filling the air with puffs of smoke, but the four boys in my group sat absolutely still in the circle of desks.


Kid was glaring at Law with his arms crossed over his chest. Law ignored him, which only further aggravated the red hair teen. Luffy was munching on another piece of meat that he magically pulled from his shirt pocket, and Ace leaned back watching quietly.


I cleared my throat again, gaining everyone's attention. "Come on guys, what do we want our explosion to do?"


"Burn things"

"Make meat!"

"Splatter everywhere"

"Blow up Law."


Law twisted his head to face Kid, glaring at him, as they started another intense stare down.


I sighed with annoyance before standing up and bonking both of them hard on the head. It was enough to snap them back.


"Akira!" Kid grumbled as he rubbed his head, " what the hell was that for!?"

"For not focusing." I replied as I repositioned Law's cap on my head.


It was the wrong thing to do. Kid's frown darkened as he remembered the cap. "I'll focus better if you take off that bastard's hat." he mumbled.


I felt a twitch at the place where my stitches were and made an effort not to touch it. "No, I don't want to." I stated as I pulled down firmer on the cap.


"Can't blame her, if she likes it, Eustass-ya." teased Law, earning a glare from me.


Kid stood up angrily as if he were going to fight.


*Ring* *Ring*


I let out a sigh of relief as the bell rang for the next class. Students around us started leaving the classroom, but both Kid and Law stood rooted in their positions.


"For those of you who didn't finish." Professor Shanks said as he made eye contact with our group, "The explosion will be due on my desk tomorrow or it will be a zero."


I mentally groaned as I thought about all the work I would have to do. These guys probably didn't even care.

Third POV


The class quickly emptied as people began to move to their next course.

"Hey Akira." called Luffy's voice as he swallowed his last piece of meat. The black haired girl stared up with a raised eyebrow.


"So what class do you have next?" Luffy asked.


Akira glanced at her schedule with scrunched eyebrows, "Hmm... Home Ec. " She mumbled as she let out a small sigh. "I don't know where that is either."


"I can take you." Chorused all four boys at the same time. Kid scowled at the fact that the other three had also offered. He was Akira's friend, not those bastards.


He quickly grabbed Akira's arm and dragged her towards the door. "I'm gonna take you." he said loudly, stressing the word to warn the other guys to back off. Akira just nodded, surprised at Kid's strange actions.


Ace and Law caught on to the subtle warning, but of course they didn't listen, and Luffy was just thick headed. The three guys followed Kid and Akira through the door and down the hallway.


Ace came up on her left side and looped his arm around her's much to Kid's displeasure. Akira gave the raven boy a questioning look.


"I'm just making sure you don't trip and fall." Ace said with a sly wink.

Akira rolled her eyes and kept walking calmly, trying not to draw attention. But it wasn't working in the slightest.


The other students in the hallway were staring in awe at the fact that the four highest ranked hotshots were walking together without killing each other.


A group of girls sighed as Ace and Law passed by them. Ace flashed the group a flirtatious grin and Law nodded to them with no expression.

"Oh my God!" squealed one of them as she fanned herself. "They were totally looking straight at me!"


The guys were standing, staring at Kid with admiration and fear. Kid glared at one of them with crimson eyes, and the guys almost fainted on the spot. "Oh my god." he said as he gripped his heart and placed his hand dramatically on his forehead, "Kid totally glared at me."


"Dude," asked another teen. "How did it feel?"


"Like I died on the inside and then got reborn." the guy replied as his eyes sparkled.


A bunch of students, girls and guys were handing Luffy meat.


"Luffy-sempai, take my meat!" said one blonde girl. Another darker haired girl suddenly rammed her out of the way. "No Luffy-sempai, take mine!" She said as she held out her hand to keep blondie back.


A guy pushed both girls away. "Luffy-sempai! You have to take mine!" He said as he handed Luffy a huge chunk of meat.


Luffy just grinned and filled his arms with all the slices of cooked food. Akira sweat dropped at the sight, but at least she now knew how Luffy kept getting food.


She was surprised that these four guys were so popular. As they kept walking, more student swarmed them. Kid kept off most of then with his death glare, but Akira could still feel questioning glances thrown her way.


Every now and then, she heard their faint whispering.

"That's the new kid right?"

"She's wearing Law's hat."

"She's holding Kid's hand."

"Who does she think she is?"


Akira tried her best to block out the gossip, but she could still feel her cheeks growing red. If she had known that these guys attracted so much attention, she would have just gone to Home Ec by herself.



Finally the crowd thinned as students began to go to their next class. Kid turned another corner and came to a halt in front of a stainless steal door.

"We're here." he said as he let go of Akira's hand.


"Thanks Kid."The flame eyed girl said with gratitude as she gave him a genuine smile.


Kid froze. He still wasn't used to getting smiles. A warm feeling kept twitching in his chest, which he couldn't tell if he liked or not.


Suddenly Ace popped up in front of them, purposely standing in front of Kid.


Kid growled as the raven boy held out a neatly wrapped box for Akira.


"Here," he said with a smile, "Luffy and I got this for you, to repay for last night."


Kid's eyes narrowed and Law turned his head with interest at Ace's words, but Ace didn't elaborate any further. And Luffy just smiled widely as he nibbled his meat.


Akira's eyes widened as she gingerly took the box. Her fingers gently tore of the purple sheets of paper to reveal a sleek black phone.


Akira was speechless. She had never gotten a phone before. "Ace...I..." she mumbled as she held up the foreign object.

Ace grinned as he watched the girl stare at the phone with amazement. "Do you like it?" He asked.


Akira nodded absentmindedly, still completely entranced at the shining touch screen.


"Both Luffy and my own phone numbers are in there already." Ace added, "So you can call us if you're ever in any trouble."


Akira quickly turned to Ace to thank him, but before she could, Law plucked the phone out of her hand. The relaxed teen casually punched his phone number in as well. "You can call me too, Ms. Akira." he said with a smirk, "You know....to tell me when you want to return my hat of course."


Kid's scowled at Law's comment and violently snatched the phone from his grasp. Luckily Ace had bought a highly sturdy model . Kid jabbed at the buttons, typing his own phone number, which took him awhile to remember, in the contacts, before wordlessly handing the phone back to Akira.


Akira stared at the four contacts that were now in her phone. She grinned widely at the gift. Her face lite up as an idea popped in her mind."Let's take a photo."she exclaimed happily.


All four guys raised their eyebrows. Ace shrugged and Luffy chuckled. They gathered closer as Akira held out the phone and turned on the camera.


She gave a laugh as she said cheese, Ace and Luffy joined in with her, but Law and Kid refused to say anything.

*SNAP*


The photo appeared on the screen. Akira was smiling in the center with her eyes closed. Ace and Luffy flanked both her sides, grinning happily. Law's face was in the top right corner with his usual smirk. And Kid's face was in the top left corner as he gave an unsure half smile.



At that moment, the tardy bell rang.



Luffy suddenly freaked out. "Man I'm late, I'm late!" He screamed as he jumped up and turned towards the hallway. The cheerful boy whipped around one last time before leaving."Bye Akira! See you at Lunch." He called.


Akira waved as Luffy ran off.


Kid, Law and Ace also said their good byes and separated from the still smiling girl.


Akira stared at the picture one last time, taking in all the details before pressing a button and walking into Home Ec.

Law was strolling to his next class down the empty hallway when his back pocket vibrated slightly. His tattooed hand gracefully pulled out the phone. The picture that Akira had just taken popped up.

Law smirked slightly and he found himself saving the photo in his otherwise empty photo albums.


Them he froze, quickly wiping his smile off and shaking his head. That girl is just something to tease Eustass with he told himself.


Stick to the plan.

Ace was racing down the hallway when he got the text. He was head of the Disciplinary committee . Being tardy wasn't even a word in his vocabulary. Worry filled his mind as he pulled out the phone and gave it a side ways glance. However, when he saw the photo he stopped running.



A smile came to his lips as he stared at the photo. He immediately saved the picture as his wallpaper.


Ace walked into the classroom with the goofy grin still plastered on his face.


"You're let Mr.Portgas." grumbled the teacher.

"Sorry Teach." Ace simply said without any worry, strangely being tardy didn't seem that bad anymore.


The teacher just sighed, "I'll let you off this time Ace, since you're always so punctual."


But Ace didn't hear the teacher's words. He was too busy staring at the clock, counting down the minutes till Lunch.

Akira POV


I skipped into Home EC, cradling the phone in my arms. The schedule had told me that this class only had 3 other people. Guess most delinquents didn't like Home Ec


"We'll be in charge of the Homecoming pastries." Chimed a familiar voice.


I glanced up to find Nami standing at the front of the room, pointing at the blackboard.


She looked up at me and froze for a second. The silence made the other two girls turn to see what Nami was staring at.

After a while, Nami gave a big smile, "Hey Akira, grab a seat" she said as she motioned to an empty seat near the front.


I plopped down warily staring at the cheerful orange haired girl. Nami just continued, "As I was saying, The Disciplinary Committee is asking for 200 cupcakes by the end of this day."


The other girls groaned, "That's impossible," said the one sitting in front of me. She had bright blue hair tied in a long pony tail.


"That's what I told them, Vivi." sighed Nami, "But they wouldn't listen, so we'll just have to try our best."



Next Nami turned to me, "Akira." she called, making me jump a bit. "You, Vivi, and Camie will be each in charge of 50 cupcakes each. Okay?"

I nodded to show I understood.


Nami gave another reassuring smile, "Good....... I need to step out for a moment, but if you guys need help, feel free come find me."


After that, Nami walked out of the room. Once she left, the blue haired girl turned around with a small smile, "Hi I'm Vivi." she greeted.


Another dark green haired girl also came up to me. "And I'm Camie." she introduced.


I smiled to both of them. "Akira." I said.


"Oh we've heard about you," chirped Vivi. "You're like Famous."


"Really?" I asked with surprise as I tried to hide my embarrassment.


Camie nodded her head as we all more over to the kitchen. "The whole school saw you walking with the Four Hotshots. " she said as I grabbed the flour . Vivi found a mixing bowl, and Camie started cracking eggs. We fell into silence as we busied ourselves with making the dough, but I kept coming back to what Camie and Vivi had said. The whole school huh?



We had just finished placing the mix into the oven when Vivi grabbed Camie's arm and pulled her towards the door.

"Where are you guys going?" I asked curiously.


Vivi just waved her hand,"Camie and I have to tell Nami about something important." She said behind her back as she continued walking, "You just finish baking and frosting the cupcakes, okay?"


Before I could reply, Camie and Vivi were gone.


I shrugged and proceeded to pull out the baked cupcakes and frost them. I put alternating pink and white swirls, delicately making each pattern. My eyes were completely focused on the job.


I brushed the sweat off my face as I admired my work. I had just finished frosting the one hundredth one and Vivi and Camie still weren't back.


What was taking them so long? Was finding Nami so hard?


Suddenly I heard a rumble. My eyes widened as the room began to fill with a white smoke. Did the oven catch one fire!?

After a moment of complete panic and freaking out , I calmed down enough to realize It wasn't smoke. No, it was fog, legit fog.


Grey clouds began to form on the celing. A crackle of lightning streamed out of one of them and hit the ground, burning the area to a charred black color.


My mind was shocked. A storm inside?! What the hell?!

At that moment the inside clouds started raining. The water streamed down heavily. Slicing downward in thick droplets.


My thoughts quickly went to the cupcakes. I looked around for something to cover them, but the fog had made the classroom visibility zero.


*BAM*


Something slammed into my head. I fell back from the force and I swear I heard laughter past the wind.


"Who's there?" I asked blindly. Another thing rammed into my head. It was an egg. The yolk spewed all over my hair and streamed down in a blob.


Thunder cracked wildly as I heard the sound of plates clattering to the ground in the distance.


I felt even more objects hit me. Not just eggs, but plates and utensils. The metal hurt substantially more. I tried to move but tripped over something.


Laughter echoed into my mind as I crouched down, covering myself.





Suddenly the howling wind stopped. Everything became silent. Flying utensils hit the ground with a loud clatter. I stayed crouched down awhile longer just to be on the safe side.



"Akira?" called a voice. I raised my head cautiously as I looked around.

The room was a mess.


The cupcakes I had decorated were splattered across the wall, and soaked to a messy, unrecognizable lump.

All that hard work.



Two combat boots appeared in front of my crouched body. I gazed up to see Ace staring at me in shock.



"Yo." he said as he looked around, "What happened here?"


"You wouldn't believe me if I told you." I said wearily.


"Try me." Ace grinned as he helped me up.


I gratefully took his hand and got up. My head spun from getting hit and I was covered in food, but besides that I was fine.



"Well there was a thunderstorm inside." I finally said.


Ace raised an eyebrow" Okay, Never mind....I don't believe you."


His response made me laugh a bit, "I'm serious though, even if it's hard to believe."

Then I let out a groan.


"What's wrong?" Ace asked quickly, "You're not sick or injured are you?"


I shook my head, "No, but the cupcakes, Nami's gonna flip." I complained as I rubbed my head.


Ace grinned. "Well you're in luck, Akira." he proclaimed proudly, "They don't call me Portgas D. extreme cupcake cooking master Ace for nothing."


I raised an eyebrow , "Really Ace?" I asked with amusement.

Ace shrugged, "Just let me help." he said.


At that moment the door slammed open, and Luffy ran in. "YAHOOOO!" he cheered.


"Luffy? What are you doing here?" I asked.


Luffy frowned and crossed his arms, "Well you didn't show up for Lunch, so I came to get yo-....what happened here?" He asked as he suddenly noticed the mess.



"Long story." I sighed, "But mind helping out? There will be food if you do." I added.


Luffy gave a wide grin, "Sure." he said as he chuckled.


"I can help to." growled a deep voice as Kid trudged in.


He stared at me for a second then turned away, "I'm not even going to ask." He muttered.


I rolled my eyes, "Good, because I don't want to tell you."I huffed, but I was happy that Kid had shown up too.



Then a quiet sigh filled the room."Miss Akira, I leave you for one hour and you manage to completely trash my hat." interrupted a calm voice.


I looked up to find Law leaning in the doorway.


"What are you doing here Trafalgar?" growled Kid.


"The same as you, Eustass-ya." Law replied evenly.


I could feel another stare down coming so I grabbed both Law and Kid by the arm. Both froze in surprise at the fact that someone was actually dragging them, but they didn't struggle.


Ace and Luffy also followed into the kitchen.


I let go and brushed some more flour out of my hair before giving a wide smile, "Okay guys, Lets make some cupcakes!"

(One Hour Later)


I collapsed in the seat as I let out a tired groan. My arms still ached from kneading the dough and my fingers were twitching sporadically still wanting to frost another cupcake.


The past hour had been a blur. Ace had cooked cupcakes twice as fast as the oven using his flames. Kid had beaten up the dough with strength that far surpassed the mixer. Law had sliced up the portions with more precision then a professional. And Luffy had taste tested everything with his bottomless stomach. They were like the ultimate cupcake making team.

I let out a sigh as I tried to wrap my head around the fact that we had managed to make 200 new cupcakes.


My muscles gave another groan, refusing to respond as I buried my head in my arms.


Suddenly I felt a light tap on my shoulder. With a lot of effort I raised my head to find a plate with four cupcakes on it.


My eyes widened.


"We had extra." grinned Luffy.

"So we made some special ones." finished Ace as he pointed proudly at a red cupcake, "Try mine first Akira." He said with a wink.

I smiled as I grabbed the crimson desert in my hand and took a small bite.


My mouth suddenly exploded in a fiery heat. It was like someone decided to pour lava in my mouth.


Ace collapsed in laughter on the floor as I raced over to the sink and gulped down water. "Haha...too easy, Akira." he said as he wiped away a tear.


I whacked him on the head as an irk mark formed over my head. "What the hell did you put in that, Ace!?"


Ace sat up from his position. "You know, the usual......Spices, Chilly peppers, A dash of gunpowde- " I raised my eyebrow, "I mean uhh....gum balls." Ace corrected with a nervous grin.


Before I could shout at Ace again, Luffy handed me another cupcake. Well actually it was a piece of meat placed in a cupcake holder. But I could tell Luffy had put a lot of effort into it.


"Thanks Luffy." I said with sincerity as I ate his. It tasted like bacon ...and heart attacks.


Next Law handed me his. I looked at it and put it back on the plate.


"That's rude, Ms. Akira." Law stated with no emotion.


"Law." I said, "Your cupcake has a needle sticking out of it.


"That's just to give the flavor an extra sharp kick at the end." he replied in compete seriousness.


"I'm not eating it." I said crossing my arms.

Law shrugged, "Your loss then."


Finally Kid handed me his cupcake. Out of the four, Kid's was the most normal looking. But when I gazed up, I found Luffy and Ace standing twenty feet away, crouching behind a table.

I raised an eyebrow, " Guys, what are you doing?"

Ace just shook his head and spoke evenly, "Akira." he said, " everything's gonna be okay, Just place the thing down gently and back away slowly."


I sighed, "Ace you're overreacting, it's just a Cupcake."


"But Kid made it." Luffy said from his hiding spot.


Shut up, Straw hat, " Kid growled, "I'm pretty sure this one won't explode."

My eyes widened. "Did you say explod-

*BAM*

No sooner were the word out when the pastry splattered into a million pieces. The force would have slammed into me if not for a certain tanned teen who blocked me.

Law fell to the ground as the pastry hit him square in the back. Creme landed on my face and other pieces of cupcake some how caught on fire as they sailed through the air.


Some of the flames landed on a plate of raw meat. Immediately cooking the chops and filling the air with tangy chicken.


The room was dead silent.



"It burns thing" Ace's sudden voice mumbled in awe.


"It makes meat." Luffy added, eyes sparkling.


"It splatters eveywhere." Law murmured as he slowly got up.

"And it blew up Law." smirked Kid.


I let out a laugh as I wiped the remaining creme off my face. "Looks like we got the perfect explosion guys." I grinned as I ate the fluffy frosting.


Maybe this whole experience wasn't so bad after all.

Nami POV


I stood just outside the door, hearing Akira's annoying laughter as she ate the creme off her face. The other four hotshots stood around her happily.


I can't believe they helped her?!


I clenched my hands angrily. My plan was going perfect. The storm I created worked, but then Luffy's brother had to show up, interrupting everything. And to make it worse, Luffy also showed up!


I walked back down the hallway. My feet taking me to the door at the end.


Room AlB 7



I knocked quickly. A gruff voice on the other side grumbled, "Come in."


I entered swiftly into the dark room. A figure sat on the opposite wall, hidden in the shadows. He had a large cigar in his mouth, letting off smoke, as he looked at me.


"What do you want?" he mumbled past the cigar.


"I want someone disposed off." I replied.


"Well that's gonna cost you quite a lot missy." the man mused.


I held up a hand "I don't want her dead." I added in an even tone, "I want her broken." Then I threw the bag of money in front of the man, allowing the coins to spew out.



The man grinned, showing off pearly white teeth, "Well you came to the right place." He said as he lifted a gleaming golden hook that took the place of his right hand and snatched the bag up.


A little voice in the back of my head told me that this wasn't the right thing to do, but I pushed the uncertainty away.


Akira you're going down.

That was literally the longest chapter I have ever written or at least it felt like it, so see it as my Christmas gift to you guys for being amazing ! \(^_^)/


Never doing that again T-T

but it was a lot of fun :P
