-The eyes are the window to your soul-

                                                -William Shakespeare

"Shiroki-san! Please explain what you understand from this quote"

With a yes, Shiroki stood up and started explaining.

"'The eyes are the window to your soul', can be understood in many different ways and many different meaning depending on whoever the person thinks. To me, this quote meant that whatever we do, whatever we say or however we express something, our eyes will always show what lies beneath it. For example, when we say something, our eyes can show that whether we're lying or not. That's what I felt from this quote." She bowed lightly before sitting back down on.

Aomine, who was sleeping, was woke up by the strong and determined voice of hers. Unlike other girls (or some other guys), her voice when she speaks in front of the class are always clear and loud enough for the whole class to hear.

'She's quite poetic huhhh.....'

"Aomine-san! Tell me what it meant from Shiroki-san's thought about this quote!" The teacher said sternly as he saw that Aomine was napping in his class just now.

"Ahh?... How troublesome...." He muttered under his breathe before proceeding to stand up.

"Well..... It meant that the eyes of a human being always shows the most honest side.." Surprisingly, he answered just what the whitenette meant. It's quite unusual for the tanned teen to answer correctly literature question. He yawned and sat down again, trying to sleep again.

The teacher hummed in satisfaction and proceeded his teaching.

"....."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Ryuu-chan. Do you want to have lunch with us?" Kuroko asked, shocked the others who were present.

The Miracles(Minus Akashi) were surprised that the Kuroko Tetsuya who doesn't greet someone by their given name said her first name.

Ogiwara and Yasuo, on the other hand, were beyond shocked with their mouth agape. Shiroki never allows anyone to call her by the first name as 'Ryuu' unless that person is someone she trust very much.

"Ah... I guess I could... But they will be coming along" She pointed at her childhood friends.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Kurokocchi!! Aominecchi is-"

"Shut up Kise!!"

"Ogiwara. You should-"

"Ah sorry-"

The chatters continued as the Miracles and the three other teens have lunch. The only one who's silent all the time were Akashi and Shiroki.

The both of them were used to the noise by the others paid no heed in scolding them and just calmly ate their lunch. Though, they were silenced by the ringing of the girl's phone.

The ring tone was a piece named Aka No Kakera(Piano cover) from an Anime named 07 Ghost. Hearing the familiar piece, Aomine ears perked up. His eyes widen where emotions swirled in it.

"Hello? This is Shiroki Ryuuki speaking" Then a voice replied. She spoked through her phone a few more moments before hanging up.

"Who was it~!" Kise chirpped. "Wrong number" She said flatly. Then silence of Aomine was getting more noticable to everyone as he hid his eyes under his bangs(A/N = I guess...?) "Aomine-kun? What's wrong?" She asked.

"Change that ring tone immediately or else." He glared at her dead into the eyes as he walked out of the rooftop they were at.

"A-a-ominecchi's scary!!!" Kise whimpered in fear as he dead hugged Kuroko.

"...." Wordlessly, she stood up and followed Aomine.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Aomine-kun." In front of a basketball gym's entrance, stood the whitenette. The tanned teen was slamming baskets continueously, not stopping for a short rest once.

He knew that the girl was there but he chose to ignore her.

Once again, she spoke up again and this time, more louder. "Aomine-kun."

That's when he stopped. Stood facing the net with the ball thumping lightly on the floor as he lost grip on it. His back faced Shiroki and his hands are clenched tightly into a fist, making the knuckles turn white.

"What do you want" He coldly said.

"Your explaination, of course" She said in a tone where it seems to be the most stupid question ever. "I've nothing to explain."

"Oh? Then why is it that you seemed sad, lonely, desperate, angry-"

"SHUT UP!!" He shouted. "Wh-" "I SAID SHUT THE HELL UP!!" Rage started to get him the best as he marched towards Shiroki and trapped her in between his arms and the wall behind her making it seems impossible to excape.

"You don't know me at all! So don't go and say something like that as if you do know-"

"I don't know you." She cut of his sentence "That's right. I don't even know anything about you. But from what I see in your eyes the moment you glared at me, was what you're trying to be saved. Your eyes plead for help. Like you know, the eyes doesn't lie. You're the one who said it didn't you? 'The eyes of a human being always shows the most honest side' "

That shutted him up.

"Could you please tell me, Aomine-kun. Don't bottle everything up. Saying what's in your mind once in a while won't hurt and it helps you relief some stress."

She pulled him into a hug. Trying to get him talking and comfort him on the same time.

"... That song.. Was wrote by my father..."

-Flashback-

"Papa!!" A young Aomine suddenly ran out of the house as he saw his father's car outside from the windows. "Welcome home papa!" He jumped onto Aomine Daisuke, his father, who caught him.

"Heya kiddo! I'm back!" Daisuke ruffled his son's hair with a large grin. They walked into the house where Kizuna, Aomine's mother, was waiting. Whispering softly a I'm home to Kizuna and he kissed on her cheek.

"Ne Papa! Could you play me that song?! Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!"

"'F course! How could I say no~?"

His father place his adorable son down and started playing 'Aka No Kakera' on the piano.

The song showed the determination of a Song writer and a band lead-vocalist and of a father. The song was fulled of happiness and heart in it that always makes Aomine falls in love with it.

When the song ended, Aomine, once again jumped onto his father with a large grin "That was amazing!!" The housewhole was full with warmth and laughter but it didn't last long.

After 5 years, the father that Aomine admired and sworn to become famous and sucessful like him, had an accident.

It happened when Daisuke was performing on stage in Hokkaido when one of the stage light fell down. The stage light was supposed to crash onto another bandmate of his, but he sacrificed himself by pushing his bandmate before the stage light crash onto him. But Daisuke was unfortunated. He died.

After his father died, his life became darker. His mother slowly started to come home late from work and rarely talk to him. That's when he started to hate music slowly.

-Flashback End-

"I'm sorry to remind you about it." They sat on the floor of the gym, Aomine sat calmly beside her, head down.

"Nah.."

"But I don't get why you're so sad. Your father died as a hero. You should be proud of him." Aomine lifted his head slightly, looking at Shiroki with the corner of his eyes.

"And I think you shouldn't hate that song. It was a big hit that time. Each and every one of your father's fan cherished the song. I read about the news that time. Many of them were happy and proud for your father's heroic action. They cherished the song and the most loyal fan of his played the song out loud as an reminder of his during the anniversary of the day he died as a hero." 'Even I did' was left untold as she thought it's not necessary.

".........."

"Do you know? The meaning behind that song" She added. "It actually described himself. Your father, that is. Before he met your mother and had you, he was searching for something. Something that he himself doesn't even knows. To search for it, there's tons of path in front of him. He had even thought of giving up, and other sorts of empty thoughts.

But for some reason, something in him told him that he must not give up. That's when he chose this path. The path of being a musician. The path where it is faith for him. The path where he met your mother.

But life isn't always fair, isn't it? The path he took continued, and resulting what happened that day. He must have thought that what will happen if he died first and left you and your mother behind. He thought a lot. How is he going to clear his sin by leaving you guys behind.

Having to thought that all of this is up to fate, he just focused on what he has now, and think of it when it actually happened. He, too, focused on moving on his life, where he would die.

I think he's happy now, up there. He's happy that he actually died as a hero. He's happy that his family's safe and sound. But he's also sad. Sad that his beloved child, hated his beloved music. Sad that his beloved son, is lonely and sorrow.

So if you want him to be happy, cheer up and move on. Even if it's only one small step. Walk on. Leave all the past behind"

Shiroki turned towards him with a smile. She then, stayed silence, as Aomine, silently sobbed.
