This word has started wars and

Ended it too.

Changed your life

But never will let you forget it.

That one word – Friend.

A good one remains with you

Through thick and thin

And expects only the same in return.

But a bad one will rot you up

Then leave you high and dry.

Then again, if you are alone,

You will never find happiness.

I crave for a good friend

But it's hard to come by.

I will do anything and everything to have you back, my good friend.

I cry and cry, but have not lost hope

Because I know, one day you will also realize

How much you miss me.

I know now and regret that I let you go,

But only if you come back

I promise I will never let you go.
