So while this summer wasn't the best in many ways, I did pick up a new skill - knitting!

My granny taught me how to knit when I was about 6 or so, and by the time I was 8 I could knit several rows at a time with no mistakes. Despite not properly knitting since then, I somehow kept the skill and decided to pick it up again.

I found the old needles and wool and bought a few books and went about making my first sample. It came out OK. I'm definitely not as good as I was, but improvement comes with time.
