Nature's Palette
Prompt: 52. Write a poem using 8 different colors. - 8 points
A flag proposed by Harvey Milk
To represent him and his ilk
A flag to boldly be unfurled
And make a statement to the world
That just like colour we are each unique
Individuals, yet as a group bespeak
A chance to write another story
A fusion, as in nature's glory
Of turquoise, red and pink or green
Together yet apart still seen
As one united where goals convene
To celebrate what we know exists
To greet diversity with hugs not fists
To understand we're more alike than not
And adopt a more considered thought,
Toward peaceful, joyous lives aspire
To nature's rainbow, we all admire
From yellow to mauve - indigo to pink
A radiant cocktail for our eyes to drink
Where all the different colours blend
Into a harmony of beauty in the end

Let's not forget we share this rock
Put down the guns, instead let's talk
Because if we don't, just one thing's true
We'll all be coloured . . . black and blue!
A/N: I think I was given a senior's pass because they aren't all colours - some are shades
